Hi, There is only one additional thing you can do to help reduce this problem is to ensure that the bedroom which your husband stay's should be one of the good sectors of the Eight House. This will at least help to offset the problems of the unsuitablility of the house. However, the long terms solution is still to move out of the house as this house no matter how good the Flying Star is will not bring great wealth to your husband. Anyway, since you are not sure whether the main door is South-East (112.5 to 157.4 degree) or South (157.5 to 202.4 degree). Use the degree's provided to verify if your main door is South or South-East. Use a compass from somewhere at the center of the house to verify it. For Eight House and a breadwinner, you should focus only on the follows: - Suitable House - Suitable Bedroom For kitchen you should focus the layout if you really want to on the person who frequently uses the kitchen, as that person is the one who the room impacts the greats. But personally, items should be placed where they are most easy to use and without any danger. There shouldn't be much worry about placing every single item in the house, but only the key placement of large funitures which say helps to divide the room etc. Hope that helps. Dear Ricardo, Apologise for the delay, due to too many questions posted daily, we may have missed it the last time. There are many ways to use a Flying Star, but usually in the website we are focused only on the House Analysis. This is it the direction where the main door faces from the center of the house. However, in doing a manual calculation, this is not exactly so simple, as you need to know the actually facing and sitting direction. However, the website's Flying Star report takes the trouble of this by doing it as soon as it knows the actual main door direction based on a normal compass. I believe what you could be confused is that, there is often some books that tells you facing direction. This two words "facing direction" can mean a lot of things. Some may say that is where the main door faces outwards. Some say it is the main house facing direction. Some say it is the direction the door faces inwards. And depending on where it is used, whether for macro flying star or micro flying star or eight house facing etc. They can be for one of the uses. However, in our website we do not confused people if we used the actual compass direction. This will not be confusing nor complicated. Whatever, it is for the flying star done using the website, we have orientated the original flying star chart from South-North direction to North-South direction so that it conforms to the compass direction. Dear Heidi, The hour pillars will provide 1 additional pillars to the day, hour and month. And it will to some extend have some effect on the final analysis of the strong or weak element. But that is the main key influence. It does not influence the Month or year pillar all. And since it does not affect that two, which happens to be the deciding factor of the 10-yearly and yearly analysis. It has very little impact in terms of the final analysis, unless the element of hour pillar is determined to the change the basic element strength. Pillars of Destiny was designed with the concept that it helps to chart your heavenly luck. And all that is really needed is the DAY, MONTH and YEAR. If these three pillars are inaccurate your entire analysis will be wrong. The hour pillar, house of life and house of conception which is considered the additional pillars can be ignored and a basic analysis can still be done. So what these additional pillars do is to try to provide more accurate analysis, but is not 100% necessary. Thus, even if it miss a little, it will have little impact. Hi Kenny, Take note here, that House Number Feng Shui analysis takes only a small impact on the overall Feng Shui of a house. Feng Shui influences that affect the house are as follows in the following order:- - Shapes and Forms - Flying Star of the House - Eight House Suitability - Ba Zi Feng Shui and the suitability to the house element - House Number Feng Shui The element analysis portion of the House Number does not mean that you have use the element suggested to cure the numbers. It is for your knowledge as to why the numbers are bad. And as mentioned since it only a small portion of impact on a house, there is very little point correcting it. Furthermore, sometimes a certain set of numbers may be unlucky to a person, but may be other person's lucky numbers. So personally I feel that you should not be too worried about House Number. Dear Clarence, Generally, when the stars 7 and 3 come in this order, the "suggested" problems is likely to occur in one of the ways listed. However, this is only taking the two stars into consideration. weak Metal destroy strong Wood. If we take that the period of the house falls in period 7, then this is not very bad as the 7 (Metal) will be auspicious. However, because 7 is only a weak Metal, it is trying to destroy strong Wood. Take this example. A small knife to cut down a 100-year old tree (with a tree truck as thick as an adult body). What's the effect? Very little impact. So in this case, the star 7 does not complete control or destroy the Strong Wood. Further to that, you have star 5 as the base star for the sector. This means Earth which needs Metal to cure, will need more Metal to tackle the two problem stars. So best I can recommend to help the situation is to introduce more Metal, which would be the 6 metal coins tied with a red string. This recommendation is based only on the details provided. Generally, if it is based on intuition, if it is new house, what is you and your family's initial impression of the house. 3. It is always good to make a few copies of your layout plan and discuss with your family members the layout and type of interior decor used. 4. The inclined towards intuitive or by feel. 5. Next, for D.I.Y. plot a template of each family member's Gua number. And you can use the Eight House Theory. 6. If you are familiar with Shapes and Form Feng Shui do apply this to your home. 7. Dear Shaqeel Mubariz, Actually, whether or not a good is good for you depends on many issues:- 1. Are you sleeping in a room which is in one of the 4 good directions? 2. Is the house element one which is favourable to you? This is a replacement instead for the having 1 of the 4 good directions of the Eight House. 3. The various stars of the house how are they and how they will affect the personal staying in the house. Generally the rules for a good house depends on a variety of stuff. It is more important to have many auspicious analysis than just only 1 issue. However, imporatantly is that for Eight House (which is only based on year of birth) thus the application is very limited. You should focus on:- 1. NOT having a main door which is death or disaster. If you have such a house, then you must make sure the bedroom you stay in is of 1 of the 4 good directions. Otherwise, if the house element is happen to be of a good element favourable to you, than it will help offset the impact of the main door which faces death of disaster. 2. The bedroom which you stay in should be of favourable directions if possible to all the various family members as this Eight House theory talks more about suitability. A house may be excellent in its flying star but if it does not suit you it is no use. 3. The next is to access your house using the Flying star and curing any problem areas which you may find. Then enhacing the good areas. Remember here that fixing all the various problems will help improve a great deal of areas in your life as opposed to enhancing good areas. This is because all the problems (if any) is often caused by some of these problem areas. Take note here, that Lillian Too's books often talks about one specific point about Feng Shui in different books. So you have to becareful how you use here explanation. This can be extremely dangerous to users if you do not have much knowledge about Feng Shui. There are many theories in Feng Shui which makes application sometimes extremely difficult. Thus, you need to know when to use what theories and the priorities of applying those theories. I believe if I am not wrong she is refering to the point because often if you look an an Eight House anlaysis. Based on your details you are a Gua 9 person. A west house for you is not so bad as it is (Spook), not death or disaster. However, in this type of configuration, it is very likely that you will be able to obtain bedrooms which falls in good sections of the house. For example your bedroom could be in the South, South-East, East and North all being your good areas:) As mentioned above, so long as the main door is not death or disaster, and you have a bedroom which is good for you, it will be sufficient. Dear Joy, Method 1 ======== For 1967 (female):- [1.] 67 - 4 = 63 [2.] 63 / 9 = 7 remainder 0 [3.] Gua is the remainder 0 (which is treated as Gua 9) I believe you took the value 7 which is not the gua number. It should be the remainder 0. Since the gua is 0, it should be treated as Gua 9 instead. You can use the method 2 to in the Applied Feng Shui course to verify this. It also gives you 9 instead of 7. Dear Tian Wan, It would seem to me that you are refering either to the ba gua or the 24 ba zi feng shui theory. However, in either case, it would seem that only South is good for you. North cannot not be good for you as Water destroy fire. Since you are a weak fire, water is bad for you. (This is assuming that we only take your element as weak fire ignoring other details) (Unless of course it is based on another theory etc) The other good directions are like East (wood) which helps to produce fire. 1. Feng Shui of the house itself should be good especially in key areas such as Main Door sector and bedroom of the breadwinner 2. The Main Door should be such that either the ba zi element is good for you, or it is one of your 4 good directions based on your eight house. Or better still both are suitable. (Point 1 & 2 should be done for the owner of the house.) 3. Next is to ensure that the bedrooms are located in sectors which are good for all person intending to stay in this house. These are secondary issues after the 3 items are meet. Usually based on the Eight House, it is often said that the kitchen should also be the location where sheng qi is found. However, sometimes due to limited number of good and bad sectors to balance, we usually identify the more important areas first such as the one listed above. Also, sometimes for kitchen it may be difficult to shift if the house is built with a certain fixed location. But in most cases, for kitchen if you really one to take note, you can try to find a kitchen which is suitable to the person using the kitchen most of the time. Since you already bought a house, you should then assess the house itself with say the Flying Star report to see which areas require cures or fixes. There is very little you can do now about the suitablilty of the main door to your Eight House direction or to your ba zi Feng Shui element. However, if the house is such that your main door falls under your death or disaster and you are the breadwinner for the entire family. Then at least try to locate yourself in a bedroom which is suitable to you to offset some of the bad influence. You see, for a house it can have the most excellent Feng Shui based on the Flying Star but if you are not suitable to it, then no matter how much you try, you cannot improve it tremendously. We have seen many many people who have the main door in the death or disaster or the bedroom which they stay in the death or disaster sector facing many problems along the way. Such problems from the Eight House cannot be rectified as it is a matter of suitability. Areas such as the house Feng Shui can be altered if it is bad by bring balance. Dear Tian Wan, However, based on what you mentioned I am guessing you are referring to the Pillars of Destiny. It very much depends, as Pillars of Destiny does a more accurate assessment based on birth element thus in terms of birth element you should use the Pillars of Destiny. For the direction of suitablility. The Eight House is a better tool to determining this and can be use with a more enhanced version 24 directional ba zi feng shui to determine a more accurate good and bad suitablility. Each theory has good and bad point and meant for a specific usage. So you need to know when to use which one to get the best out of Feng Shui. Which theory are you refering that north-east is bad? If you refer to the Eight House, and you are a breadwinner of the house, plus your main door falls under death or disaster. Then I am afraid, yes, it is unsuitable for you. However, it at least the bedroom is found in a good sector it will be not so bad. Dear Tian Wan, Generally, when you refer to good oa bad direction for a house it depends on several things. 1. If you refer to a good and bad house based on a Flying Star for example. Then yes, a house can be good and bad depending on the location. However, this by itself does not mean that a bad house is bad for everyone. 2. It also depends very much on the suitability of the house to the owner. I this means that a house which is suitable to the owner can overrule some of the bad influence the house has, as it is generally favourable to a person. So it depends on how you look at it. Generallly, however, most problems can be solved especially for influences based on Flying Star. However, it is impossible to change a house from bad to good if it does not suit a person. So this is the most important. Most of the time people encounter problems due to having a house which is totally unsuitabble for them. This is often coupled with a bad house for a particular period. Thus, in such cases, the only solution is often to move to a better location if possible. Not exactly true here. This is often based on say a practitioner who has done a calculation say for period 7 (1984-2003) to determine the good and bad directions and thus generalising the analysis. Also, the personal suitablility has not been taken into account for house determination. In such cases. For a person for example, can have a good house which faces North, but to another person, his good house faces South. So this can greatly impact upon the choice of the house. Hope that helps. Dear Kaushal, Since you are a weak fire person, the best element here is wood element i.e. green or brown. The next best colour is fire i.e. pink, purple or red. The controlling element for fire are: 1. Metal to control the wood which is your production element. 2. Water to destroy fire. (avoid using this combination unless the card turns out to be all RED.) Here, for example, the `trick' is to use black font (black represents water element). However, since the card is small, you can chose colors based on the above. It should also not be placed on the same wall as the toilet. 4. Not place it in the bedroom. 5. In the living room, a good location is to place it on a display shelf or decorative shelf. 6. You can only active the star if the area is neutralise (eg. your 6 coins) and if it falls in a bedroom with the direction having no windows. Flying Star is an extremely powerful tool that can apply to:- - a plot of land - a house or building - a single house or apartment unit - a small room 1. Usually, our website focuses on the single house or apartment unit. This means taking the main door of the house. This is because we want to find the birth chart of the house which belongs to the owner. Thus, we ask all users to find the most accurate direction of the main door. 2. However, flying star can also be used for analysis of the entire building itself. Similarly, it can also take the reading for the house and the exterior. (Meaning a Plot of land with the house) So depending on which reading you wish to anlayse you take the main entrance based on the main door, main entrance of building, main entrance to the plot of land etc. So you see the term house facing can be defined in a few manner. However, on our website we focus on the interior analysis of the house itself thus the facing of the house is often taken as the main door facing. ............................................. So in general, there can be several facing directions / frontage. Some common frontage are: - based on the main door (true house facing) - based on the view of the living room for example (virtual house facing which you can see but cannot enter or exit) - based on the house facing (this is where the door can be located on a different direction as compared to the house direction), etc. Each can be used depending on what you are looking for. In the flying star for a house you need to take the true house facing. In the flying star for the plot of land you need to take the house or land facing. In relation to shapes and forms and flow of Qi, then you may need to take the virtual house facing. Normally, when you relate to flying star it helps to determine the influence of the house only. Thus you need to know the flow of Qi (C'hi) based on the main door. Dear Cheui May, Usually, the "main door" is where the house number or apartment number is placed. The other entrance which does not have this is usually called the "side door". Normally, we advise the use of the side door for those users who already have an existing house with a main door which is not suitable for them to use the alternative side door especially if it is better. However, if you have not purchase a house, it would still be better if you find a house with the main door as the best direction rather than use the alternative side door. It will help if you use the side door although it is not a good as the true main door. Usually used as an alternative solution for an existing house. You should choose the house based on the owner (breadwinner). The house must the be best for the owner of the house, the rest of the family member should then be located in suitable or favourable rooms. Thus, the other person need not worry so much about their eight house report in relation to the main door. Personally, as I mentioned although you can use the side door as the main door. However, since you have not purchase the house yet, why not look for another better one which has the main door as the best location. There are several double 7 etc houses available in a few different direction. But you must also take note that you have to get the optimium benefit, as the suitability of the house to the owner is also equally important than a double 7 influence. There are some people because of say the double 7 occurs together with that breadwinner's death or disaster sector, then even how good the double 7 is, the breadwinner is not suitable to it. So in such a case, it is often better to get another non-double combination but results in auspicious sector, with suitable direction and favourable ba zi house element. So a report which will help you greatly on this area is the Finding a Good House report, which analyses 24 different facing direction in relation to your Eight House and 24 Ba Zi Direction to determine the various excellent location for your main door. For example, after the analysis it will tell you that N2, NW2, E3 type of houses are excellent house for you. Then while you are searching for a new home, you would than want to look for any house which has the main door falling within the direction defined by N2 (0 degree). This will greatly reduce the time you need to actually analyse each house as you find. By knowing this in advance for example N2 (double 7 with suitable facing direction etc). Then you eliminate the other houses which does not fit your requirements. Then when you come to the few N2 direction house, you can then use for example the Eight House to see which of the N2 direction layout has a bedroom which falls into the good sector for you. ............................................ 4. Bedroom that is good for you After you have point 2 & 3, you must then find a house which the bedroom falls under the any of the 4 good sector. This will ensure further suitability to you. Once you can find a house that can cover point 1 to 4. Then you will have already identify the ideal house for you. After you have narrowed down to the few units which you like, then you can decide the house you wish to buy and do a detailed Flying Star analysis of the home to solve all the imbalances and activate/enhance the good sectors. Only by than will the house layout come in properly. Dear Kaushal, Flying Star cannot be analysed star by star. It should always be analysed as a combination of the two stars or best still the entire sector by itself. Often it is the 1-2-3, 6-2-4 etc, when the stars come together then you can analyse the whether they are auspicious and then provide a cure, activation etc to activate it etc. For example even if 8 mountain is not a bad star. However, if it comes with number 5 it becomes an inauspicious sector. But if it comes with 1 for example, it will be considered a little better. So if you only based on the star 8 and want to make activation etc without carefully considering the other stars in the sector you will only do more harm if you accidentally activate this star which happens to bring strength to a bad star. Just like in your example, just because star 7 comes in a sector as a form of water star, you use a fountain, but what if the sector combination does is not favour water? You will end up doing more harm than good. So all I can tell you here is that for the star on the left it is considered the mountain star so it can only be activated by a strong backing. How and whether or not to activate it depends on the sector itself. Flying Star is an extremely powerful tool can if used incorrectly can create more harm than good. It is one of the Feng Shui area which you can greatly change the influence of the sector. It is ideal to obtain a balanced element. However, it is virtually imposible to obtain a balanced element.
