  1. Dear Caroline, Under the Eight House Theory, there is relatively, nothing much else one can do other than try to face a favourable direction. In fact, having one's back to a `glass' wall is not necessarily bad so long as there is a back row cabinet behind us. Usually, this cabinet is at the same level as our side partition. This is symbolic of a mountain position. Often, other objects (placement of charms or figurines) in most cases are more of Ren Cai or Human Luck factor. This affects us mentally than - as a charm or help. In fact, nowadays, our table have little real-estate given that we already have a monitor or keyboard and mouse. Warmest Regards Cecil
  2. Dear Fran?oise, 1. It is never wise to use Gua number to guage compatibility. 2. The biggest obvious reason is that `statistical' nightmare considering that between a pair or couple: such a compatibility is 50-50 percent chance. 3. Since, all of us belong to either East or West group. And majority of the time: it will end up either being " compatible e.g. East with East group or the other 50 percent of the time East with West group. 4. In the professional Ba Zi analysis; a better method is to look at compatibility in relation to ba zi. For example, Husband is a weak fire person. And wife is a strong water person. In such a situation, often, the dominant party is the wife. Since water destroys or extinguish fire; especially weak fire, this is considered as not a suitable pairing. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  3. Dear Bing, 1. Thank you for bring up this interesting observation:) 2. In Chinese Luck system; it is well known that there are three kinds of luck: 2.1 Heaven Luck - what is given to us. 2.2 Earth Luck - Feng Shui 2.3 Human Luck - E.g. relationships 3. Often if one observe carefully, the rich has a mix of the above three luck or at least two of these "luck". 4. For Earth luck, as what you had describe; 4.1. Often the side where there is paranomic view; is often considered as the frontage of the home. 4.2. If one follows carefully; the observations: Usually, if there are leaks, in a home; often, it is not caused by one single leak but several leaks. 4.3 Leaks can be e.g. inauspicious Ba Zi, the home etc... 5. Often, such homes themselves, have overriding excellent qi i.e. they are auspicious and have good qi. For example, a bungalow, is relatively good because, it has four sides. And wind or qi can circulate properly. 6. One important point; that is often missed here; has to do with many localised Feng Shui in a built up city like Singapore. 7. Therefore, often when one reads messages posted by people in my country or neigbhouring country; often one may read some `conflicting' information or limited information. For example, in Singapore, we do not have that many hill tops. And even if we have they are either `man-made' or not higher than 30 metres or more. Thus, there is few examples in this area. In fact, we have more `lowlands' and this is where, quite alot of the rich - often resides at. 8. Recently, there is a new launch of Lornie Hill condo. As the word hill suggests, it is on a hill. But, for this hill, imagine, it does not need a manual car to put to 1st or second gear. In fact, if there are simply no cars on the road, a recent make car, can easily sprint along this road. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  4. Dear Anon, In compass readings, there is no right or wrong answers. Often, this is a `live' subject based on the dwelling. For more information, please go thru this resource:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm For example, taking a reading from the centrepoint or the flux, in my opinion, is one of the methods used, here also. One has to remember that we are not living in the past. In the past, if one looks at all the Chinese homes, the main door is often the `facing' direction. Nowadays, many apartments, flats and bungalows often have doors at the side. And to say that standing at the door facing out to read a direction is as subjective as any other methods. I must stress that there are many different Compass Schools of Feng Shui. I am truly not impressed by some Feng Shui Masters that claim that their method is the only correct method. This implies that these people are either ignorant of all the methods and techniques given that we live in modern times with NOT so standard dwelling layouts. As one can see from the above, even thou Black Hat Sect is not a Traditional Feng Shui origin, it makes sense for readings to be taken from the centrepoint. Given that in an interior, optimium qi (chi) flux thru this area. And given the technique of standing at main door taking a compass direction, centrepoint has it's merits. Plus, this is exactly how, a compass template even using the Traditional Eight House is laid. Here, many of the `myopic' Traditional Feng Shui schools, who follow rigidly to their stand at the door facing out to take compass reading is simply - too outdated. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Many condominium developers use the service of this furniture company to supply: doors, wardrope cabinets, vanity tops, kitchen cabinets.... XXXX is a homegrown, listed company:- http://www.xxxxx.sg/residential/accomplish.htm Often, if your condominium use this company; one can often see the hinge of the inside door tagged with their destinctive "xxxxx" label. Their most recent site work includes: Costa del Sol, Yishun Sapphire and Lilydale Executive Condo. They also do work for Hotels, banks, retail and service industry etc.... Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee P.S. Last updated on 8 October 2020. Removed the URL. As can no longer find the url. As life-span of many companies are often short.
  6. Dear Maggie, In my opinion, numerology is very diverse - and subject to so many interpretations. For example, for some, number 13 is an unlucky number. But for others, it is ok. If one is in Hong Kong or Guandong China; then one may meet up lots of Cantonese dialect group. Here, the spoken phonetic word for number 4 literally translated as `die'. But if you are in Singapore, most likely, this is less of an issue, since the majority dialect group is made up mostly of Hokkiens who come from Fujian Provience in China. In fact, I have come across so many Singaporeans that has house number 4 or 44 or 444. Car number plates with 4444 etc.. and even phone numbers with such numbers; yet, statistically, there is no issue in this. More important what matters most in Feng Shui is : Location, location, location and location. Warmest Regards Cecil P.S. Personally, I feel that amongst all the dialect groups in Singapore; although I am a hokkien myself, I do find the hokkiens are less superstitious and more flexible when it comes to such things.
  7. Dear All, Recently, there has being a surge of copyright violations involving the: 1. Attempting to complie, editing works from this site; 2. Illegal use of graphics from this site; 3. Illegal translation of materials from this site without our express permission to do so. I like to appeal to all users that although we generously provide materials "freely" for public viewing; It does not mean that anyone can "harvest"; complie, plagiarise or use any materials without our express permission. This is a good resource on Copyright / Intellectual property rights:- http://whatiscopyright.org/ In particular, if you can go thru these topics : - Copyrights and the Internet. ============================== - Public domain - not! - Material provided by others and used with permission. - "Free" web graphics and linking images. - What if I translate your copyright page into another language? I bet I don't need your permission, and I own the "new" work! In addition, I like to remind all users NOT to post any materials without giving due regards to the copyright owners. Often, if we use such materials for educational purposes; try to add wordings like : Source and Credit. Any postings using other people's work or graphics, must acknowledge their work. Often, I have to delete such postings - since it violates copyright protection. Other good sites on Intellectual Property Right Issues:- http://www.negativland.com/intprop.html http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/Copyright/ Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee
  8. Dear Anon, In my opinion, the key success factors are: 1. Location, Location and Location The three L's are the most important consideration. For most of forum members - this refers to Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. 2. Next; are the critical and nice to have: 2.1 Flying Star Feng Shui - It would be nice to have - double (something) at the main entrance. For example under current Flying Star period of 1984 to 2003; it is nice to have doube 7's at the main entrance. 2.2 Where possible, under the Eight House, best not to have death or disaster sectors at the main entrance. It can still be. But often, this is already like a broken arm even before one moves into the home. 2.3 Ba Zi As you had mentioned, if your ba zi element favours South, this is nice to have. Often, a reasonably good house (after Para 1) has been taken into consideration is good sector at Main entrance and nice to have good sector at the main entrance. Yes, overall, ba zi, can be considered as more important. But, usually, one can still harmonise a home e.g. the home or the bedroom to the Ba Zi of each family member. Here, our heaven luck should harmonize with our earth luck. Look at it this way, there is NO RIGHT or WRONG answers. The logic behind the key success is to try and harmonize our heaven luck with our earth luck. As mentioned above, we should find out our heaven luck i.e. element and strength and harmonize it with our earth luck. For earth luck: we should see if our head can be positioned as far as possible facing a favourable direction (if possible). And another dimension of earth luck is the use of e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui to analyse our home. And if any sectors are out of balance, harmonize or balance that sector. For example, if a sector has bad earth elements such as those that bring Misfortune and sickness, we must try to balance this sector first. If all these sounds complicated, try to break each process or concept into their own domain. Try to apply the three-step approach that I had mentioned in countless of my previous forum messages: Step 1: Find out the purpose of each concept Step 2: What are it's strengths Step 3: What are it's weakness. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  9. Dear George, Please note that this general assessment is strictly based on Shapes and Forms with no reference to personal ba zi (date/time of birth). 1. One good thing about this layout is that the toilets are at `safe' positions (sharing an external wall) - therefore, they cannot be at the centrepoint. 2. The `major' dislike is the staircase at the centrepoint. But, this is not a major problem - more of an irritation. 3. I like the layout of this staircase:- http://www.newurbanist.com/ac2110.htm BUT not the layout of the toilet i.e. the bath-tub at ground floor is close to the centrepoint and the second storey (level) bath-tub is equally not well placed. 4. The stove facing the wash basin. In Feng Shui, it is not favourable especially if the stove faces the wash basin (at North compass sector). It is ok to do so, if the kitchen/stove/wash basin is at south compass direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  10. Dear Richard, Please see below:- In authentic heaven and earth luck assessment, here are the main considerations: 1. It would be a disadvantage for a weak fire or strong water person especially the breadwinner to have a water position inside his / her home. 2. In authentic Feng Shui; the true `meaning' or the closest to a wealth corner for a water position is thru the application of Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, locations that have #6 or #7 and if the condition - is applicable; can exist with water position. Often, and depending on the Managing Agents or later, the MCST; such areas are common property. And, some condos have strict rules on placing anything at the common area even if - it is a `private' area. Frankly, such things are unhealthy, since, ultimately, they get dirty easily etc.... The most popular twin pairs are - a pair of lions. But again, these must be plumb, smiling. In the past messages, I have mentioned which pair belongs to the left or right side. Do a search, to find out more. It is interesting to note also; that in the past, an official's rank can also be seen on the number of humps on the forehead of a lion. The more humps or (lines) on the forehead of the lion suggests a high ranking one. Please refer to this url: http://www.geomancy.net/consultation/consult-home/home-onsite-audit.htm We have already made our fee affordable. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  11. The Sim Lian Group is an up and coming developer. Their url: http://www.simlian.com.sg Previously; little known to many, it is a main con as opposed to being a developer. Overall, having seen many of the developments which it is th main con; I am very impressed by their build quality. In the past, even developers like MCL Land, use the company as the main con for their Seletar Springs condominium. Here, this low rise development has roof structure made of (steel) as opposed to wooden plank roofs etc... Many of it's projects are for the statutory boards owned by the government:- http://www.simlian.com.sg/CorpInfo/Construction/SLC/projects.htm It is worth to note that it's recent foray being a developer is good for consumers. Since, it's two projects: 1. The Dew at Bukit Batok was sold out like hot cake in year 2001. This was because p.s.f. per square foot was a mere $390psf. (The Dew Executive condo, 99 Years) 2. The Jade, at Bukit Batok was also sold at such low price levels @ $483psf. This higher price was justifiable since this development is opposite the Bukit Batok MRT station. 3. It's latest launch of The Pearl is also very popular even during it's soft launch (no advertisement, then). 4. Do watch out for any new developments from them:) Overall, value for money. And can many of it's developments are in popular locations; 5. I remembered; having visited The Dew recently, prior to the TOP; their supervisor also boasted that they have 1 worker taking charge of each of The Dew's unit! Wow, this is truly impressive show of strength! So far, unmatched by any other developer! Let's hope that in the future, it can still be a `people's developer instead of becoming another of the other developer. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Further to what I had mentioned earlier, it is such a waste that this is one of the few low rise apartments - unfortunately, the roof is blue. Symbollically, this is considered inauspicious. URL: http://www.centrepointhomes.com/euphony.asp To-date, since it's TOP, several years back; units in this development would have already being sold-out! But, unforunately, at the time of writing, the developer is still advertising it for "Immediate Occupation!". Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Further to what I had mentioned, if one looks at the compass marking on the site map:- http://www.mclland.com.sg/property/dreamhomes/theyardley/theyardley_siteplan.asp I personally do not like many of the units here since many of the units (in my opinion) will be bathed with morning to noon East sunlight and in the evening many of the walls will also be bathed by the West (afternoon sun). Sometimes, the heat can still be retained up to 7 or 8 pm in the evening. (No issue if or should rooms be exposed to afternoon sun - and one can afford airconditioning...then, that's fine!) In particular, Units 04 and 05 are considered as `hot' homes since it will be perpetually be hot both in the morning and at night. Unit 03 will also be vulnerable to the afternoon sun. Under this general Shapes and Form guidelines, better homes are often North-South facing. In your search for a home; please always consider what I had mentioned above. And not just only because the house is `suitable' to you. This is beside, the point or secondary to above. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Development: The Yardley Condominium Developer: MCL Land (Serangoon) Pte Ltd Tenure: Estate in Fee Simple Expected TOP: Dec 2008 Units: 55 units URL: http://www.mclland.com.sg/property/dreamhomes/theyardley/theyardley_siteplan.asp In my opinion, if you can try to AVOID or touching Unit 03:- 1. This is because, the entire block is `L' shaped. 2. Often, the worst qi flow is located at the middle i.e. Unit 03. 3. In addition, Unit 03 seems `worse' than this since it is `sunken in' and often, this is an `entrapped' unit. Especially since Unit 03 and 04 has a small rectangular void that does not go well with beneficial qi flow. 4. Therefore, personally, I do not quite like Unit 03 nor 04 also. 5. The only distinct advantage of this development is that it is close to the Serangoon MRT. And we can see why, the developer has capitalised on the launch ... perhaps to coincide with the recent opening of the North-East MRT line. 6. Often, where possible, (especially for a landed property); where possible, avoid building an `L' shaped building. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  15. Development: Lakeholmz Location: Boon Lay Way/Corporation Road, Developer: Centrepoint Homes, Centrepoint Properties Ltd Tenure: 99 years Expected TOP: Nov 2005 (Often, can be earlier - no guarantees but please don't quote me) Very good architects: DP Archiects plus another advantage is that it has only 369 units - exclusive as compared to some other condos that pack more than 400 to 500 units into such an environment Average $ p.s.f. : $440/-. URL: http://www.lakeholmz.com.sg/siteplan.asp In my opinion, this is one of the best sites available in the western part of Singapore (Jurong/Boon Lay area). In addition, the condo is in a U shaped configuration, one of the safest type of site plan. This site equates to the developer's site at: Marine Parade i.e. Cote d'Azur; which is at this time, one of the better sites with good Shapes and Forms. Reference for Cote d'Azur http://www.centrepointhomes.com/mp/index.asp For practical reasons, units that face Corporation Road i.e. at Blk 90 would not be the best blocks since, it faces the noisy Corporation Road. Units facing the pools are better investments. What I like about this site, is that many of the units face the tranquil Jurong Lake. I can reminicent, the younger days when I followed my dad; who spent his hobby, using waterproof shotgun pallets to shot at crocodiles in this lake. As this lake was a depository for many plywood that float there. And, yes, many years back there were lots of plywood factories and also a large population of crocodies. In addition; this condo is a very good investment since; the MRT is just a 5 minutes walk away. Which is an added investment - where, should one really needs "cash" can really find value since the value will surely increase due to the limited good sites in the Jurong area. Where there will always be potential HDB upgraders looking for good units. Look at Lakeview condo (close-by). Although this condo is `old' it still has the selling power. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  16. Dear Glyn, After writing on the use of fire, I actually wanted to find out from you where this location was. For example, if this location is bathed with sun-light e.g. direct east or direct west. Or even if sufficient light flow-in; then one already has natural `fire' light element trickle down to this sector. I have not seen the actual Flying star but often, on the safer side, it should be used after next year's lunar new year. Please send my regards to Phil and your two lovely children:) One day, will visit you in Perth:) Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. Dear Ellen, The Kallang River canal seems to be slicing into the area where Blk 124 and the Macpherson constituency building makes this block so, so. Better unit is opposite of the canal. Since you mentioned that the canal will be covered, this is better. Since this is a point-block, where qi can flow all round it, this is a plus point. Overall, I would say that it is an `average' site. (However, still in general ok.) Warmest Regards, Cecil
  18. Dear Glyn, For now, I personally feel that the `cleanest' method is to introduce the fire element. Since #7 x 2 are metal element and #3 is bad wood element The `cleanest' method is therefore to use `fire' element e.g. a red carpet or for some Chinese, a red banner above their door. The rationale here is:- Under the Destructive sequence of the five elements concept:- Fire is used to CONTROL or weaken METAL Under the Productive sequence of the five elements concept:- Fire is used to draw or reduce wood i.e. fire helps to burn wood. This is still a better method than say introducing `water'. If water is introduced, it does help to reduce Metal as water helps to draw out water or weaken it. But the double edged sword is that it helps to fuel wood i.e. bad wood. If water is introduced; e.g. a fountain i.e. it has to have all five elements inside it inorder to circulate all five elements effectively. For example, in the past, I mentioned the senario of a public lamp post. This lamp post can be made of metal or wood. But, symbollically, it looks more like a tree trunk (wood element). If the lamp post slices thru our main door entrance or window, we cannot simply go out and use an axe or saw to remove it. It is illegal. If it is a tree, perphaps, if we are `evil' we can poison it. In such a situation, the most popular Hong Kong method was to introduce a fish tank to neutralise it. This is where the fish tank is made up of 4 or more elements:- Fish tank - often this is rectangular. Rectangle represents the Earth element. Fishes - Often goldfish and dragon fish is considered as the Metal element. Orange gold fish is often considered as metal element Fishes (some are red or pink). These colours represent the Fire element Fishes (black). These represent water element. Often, the fish tank also has lights i.e. this belongs to the fire element. Some plants - this may not be necessary but if these are introduced into a fish tank, it belongs to the wood element. Therefore: we can see that if the THREAT is WOOD:- We can introduce at least 4 other elements that help to neutralise it in a harmonious way instead of resorting to destroying it - which may be illegal. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  19. Dear All, I envisage that more users may be posting such subject matter. As such, I like to lay some guidelines on this subject. Currently, I have thought of a few important guidelines on this. In the future, I will be adding more. Here are the guidelines:- 1. First, go thru this Can or cannot buy resource:- http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting-faq.htm 2. Geomancy.net's house hunting service http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting.htm 3. CAN OR CANNOT BUY: Is this block good? Free Advise 3.1 Cavet Emptor - Let the buyer beware: Please note that pointing to a url e.g. http://www.streetdirectory.com only provides a "Top-view" of the location. 3.2 Therefore, any review based on this should only be considered as very PRELIMINARY. As it does not take into account factors like compass direction; sunlight (east-west facing or north-south facing) etc... 3.3 The site, block and immediate surrouding are not analysed using this top-view method. 4. FREE ADVICE -- "NO THREATS" 4.1 Do'nt give me messages or e-mails like: Very Urgent -- need your advice urgently! 4.2 For Free Advise, most of the time many people will give me `threats' like "the agent tells me that if I do not commit ... by such and such a date..which is often tommorrow or "yesterday", the deal's off! 5. For each individual : Do not post more than TWO free analysis. 6. Even if it is for one or two blocks for review, it depends on whether I accept or can reject the review without giving any reasons there-of. 7. If you want the layout analysed, then, go use Geomancy.net's priority service at:- http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting.htm 8. Contrary to popular believe, I personally believe that it is more important to invest in a "Can or Cannot buy" assessment rather than the last resort of having a home Feng Shuied after a purchase. 9. The above are the preliminary guidelines. 10. If you are in Singapore, please post free advise of this nature to " Singapore Property Review " conference. Happy House Hunting! Warmest Regards, Cecil PS. At the end of the day, it `boils' down to your personal BUDGET. Needless to say, with or without Feng Shui; expect to pay more for a `choice' site. The seller or developer is no fool in this matter! Keep within you and your partner's MEANS. An average home is better than no home!
  20. Dear Ellen, Yes, this is a very old estate in Macpherson/Circuit Road area. For circuit road, I am not too sure, but one fine day; if the economic picks up, it may get re-developed like in Toa Payoh. And those who stay there may get priority for new flats in this area. (Please do not take my word for it. I am just guessing. Please rely on govt/HDB's word for it. I believe it is not blk 121 (the units facing Paya Lebar Way road) as this is one of the most nosiest blocks (vehicle noise pollution) around. This is further fueled by the long stretch of this block that helps to retain and magnify such sounds. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  21. Dear Anon, 1. Yes, washing machines should be considered as a water position. 1.1. Especially front loading washing machines that has a circular glass pothole. 1.2. Thus it is less than ideal for this glass pothole to face the stove. 2. In addition, water pipe is used to draw in water into it at the back and the output of dirty water is also produced. 3. A microwave is (contrary) to popular belief - belongs to the metal element. Since, it's energy is concentrated inwards. Fire is not used to conduct this energy but instead microwave (metal) element is used to disturb the molecules to cook them. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  22. Dear Jen, Let's take alook at commonsense approach to Feng Shui. Often, the most convenient place to walk in and out of various rooms is a passage-way. Here, imagine a passage way (or clear space at the centrepoint of the home). In better Feng Shui homes, this corridor or area is the `flux' or centrepoint of a home. A low set of sofa furniture is still ok, since, it represents clear space i.e. nothing at this `centrepoint' that is as high as a wall. Please note that it does not necessary mean that all homes must have clear space here. It depends. What is not so favourable are locations like: a toilet / toilet bowl and a kitchen's stove etc... Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, as I mentioned above, the most practical way to walk between rooms is still this middle area or often - it is a passage way. Here, such `clear' space is good especially if one has windows on each side of the home. Qi or air can flow or meander and mix freely `crossing' thru this centrepoint. Also depending on low or high pressure e.g. often winds come from various directions depending on day or night. In geography, we often learn that the sun heats up the land in the day / sea and vice versa. And this causes high/low pressure points at various times of the day. For some homes, wind may come from e.g. south while at night it may come from the north etc... And it is advantages for the centrepoint of the home to have clear space. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  23. Dear Stan, Yes, earlier, I do agree with your dad that the earlier unit is much better unit based on my earlier reasons. With respect to this two new units; please note the following:- 1. My views are strictly related to top-view shapes and forms. For example, it does not relate to the level / storey of the apartment; any tall lone trees or any other sha qi. 2. I personally prefer 805 next to Peiying Primary School as it seems able to catch in `qi' from all directions in a balanced way. 3. Furthermore, the most attractive thing is not so much of FS, but rather the close proximity to the Khatib MRT station. But do check out what is the `penetrating' noise level in the unit. Since, these MRT trains are notorious for radiating sound especially since this blk 805 is close to this sound catchment area. 4. The other unit is equally acceptable since it seems to have clear space at the frontage. In Feng Shui, there is a double edged sword - too much `barren' area at the frontage need not necessary be too ideal especially in a low pressure situtation where rain is coming. The other situation is, if in the future, the government may sell this land for a condo. If it is purchased today at a premium, tomorrow it may not be necessarily so. Here, take for example the condo: The Bayshore. Many units once face the sea. But because of the new highrise condo : Costa Del Sol, many of the units at The Bayshore no longer common this premium. Since it is only 99 years old, and many had bought it at crazy high prices in the past; many who sell it today can loose as much as $100,000 just like that. As mentioned, the above does not take into account you and your family's ba zi nor the storey at which these apartments are and more.... Warmest Regards, Cecil
  24. Dear All, 1. I am pleased to inform everyone that Geomancy.net celebrates six years of hosting our forum. 2. I could remember vividly that I had posted the first message on a third-party forum in mide June 1997. 3. Geomancy.net finally hosted our forum on our battle tested forum a few years later! 4. Wow, it seems time has past so fast! 5. Geomancy.net wishes every member: HEALTH, WEALTH and HAPPINESS! 6. We are still keeping our past messages available for everyone to read:) 7. The only shock I got was when one person, wrote to say that he has complied messages posted by users, replies posted by Robert and myself:( Without first seeking permission to do so. 8. Well, keep posting relevant questions... Every day, we learn something new:) 9. For those who are new and eager to learn, please take a step backwards and do a SEARCH; and you can most likely find a series of past replies! Do that, and you will help to continue to make this forum, relevant:) Cheers! Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Little wonder, some readers wrote to me telling me that they spent at least 2 hours per day to catch up on the vast (amounts) of past messages!
  25. Dear Richard, Please see below:- In general, this should not be an issue. I have lots of clients who own bungalows and they do have water positions above their homes. Often, they have a terrace area here, and water plus plants keep the roof `cool'. Often, if this is a new development; the structural engineer would have factored the load in kilonewtons. And if the roof can take the load, this is acceptable. The only issue is that it is best that a pond should have some shade else the fish could end up being `cooked' by the hot sun. In addition, water drainage should be efficient such that; if there is a heavy rainfall, excess water in the pond should be drained properly. Where possible, the pond should be located such that it shares one external wall. Here, this implies that it is not at the centrepoint of the home where often, this is the weakest area i.e. few if any columns to support such a heavy structure. But again, this is subject to structural integrity of the roof load. Often, a decorative screen is used here. The test is to stand at the main door; looking inwards. If one cannot see the staircase, this is no longer a threat. Two fu dogs is still acceptable provided they are plump and has a smiling face. Often, try to go for white ones. Often a red ribbon with a pearl is placed on the collar of each fu dog. Often placing it on the floor reminds one of placing it at a temple entrance or some shopping centre. Often, if you have a gate; the most common (tested) method is to place them on the twin pillars of the main gate. Frankly, based on your description, you are a long, long way from understanding the Ba Zi or Eight Characters. Try to do more homework into this area: 1. Weak or Strong element? 2. What is your binding element etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil
