  1. The above are samples of some of new resources at Geomancy.net called My Dreamhouse Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee
  2. Many users are familar with the first generation of resources: Fun with Feng Shui! As it was written in 1997, I am busy working on a more condensed version of resources, gained from feedback and materials `published' in this forum. Look out for it, soon! Snipplets or sneak preview of this new project will be posted to the forum... Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee
  3. Dear Carolyn, 1. An L-shaped house need not necessary have `bad' Feng Shui. 2. Can I confirm if the sundial is at ground level or placed on an elevated pedestal. 2.1 If it if flat on the floor, this ok. 2.2 If it is raised and on an elevated pedestal, and if there are sliding glass, or a main door, it could inadvertently `slice' the main door or the house creating Sha Qi. 2.3 Usually, it is not advisable, to bury an animal at the frontage of the house. For future burial, any pets should be buried on the side of the house compound (as a last resort) none would be best. Avoid burying the animals also at the back of the house if possible. 2.4 However, it is not necessary to dig up, your pet in the current situation. In the initial burial, decay or would set in and Sha qi may be eliminated. But, this is minor. Usually, as mentioned above, the frontage of the house both what we can see and what we cannot see, (underground) should be `clear'. 2.5 The condition (I hope u do not mind me saying so) is not of a concern if we consider a `worse' event that of sewerage drainage pipes, flowing from e.g. the main road thru the house especially, if it criss-cross right under the main door or in a bedroom. http://www.geomancy.net/fs/under.htm 2.6 Usually, a water fountain would be more better suitated as a replacement to a sun dial. If we weigh which is `more beneificial'. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  4. What important lessons you can learn here? 1. Where possible always look at the bigger picture. Secondary issues like the placement of a shoe rack or deciding the placement of it outside or inside the house? Covered or not covered are considered `peanuts' Feng Shui. 2. If one lives in a condominum, take advantage e.g. of its large fountain or swimming pool to enhance Qi. Questions like, can I place a fountain in my living room and how long must I turn it on are secondary. In the first place if one purchase a fountain and not prepared to turn it on, then what is the logic of getting a fountain after all. How much Beneficial Qi comes out of a living room fountain (trapped indoors) when compared to one outdoors? 3. My hope is that we should differentiate between Kindergarten Feng Shui and `correct' Feng Shui. 4. It is less important also to locate the `elusive' wealth corner in the home than to have overall favourable Feng Shui. I hope each of us can ponder over the above and achieve something in our life. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  5. Dear Users, If you are in Perth, Australia and need reliable consultations, do approach Glyn. She is one of my best students and come highly recommended by me. She has already built a good reputation especially by word of mouth. In my opinion, I believe, her skills surpass that of many. Equally, she is honest and honest people are best, suited to providing quality advice:) Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee
  6. Dear Kewpie, 1. It is very difficult to comment on the `generic' term, a townhouse. This is because, it also depends on the location it is sited, the plot of land holding the row of houses. The elevation, the front, the back areas in relation to Shapes and Form. 2. Personally, I have also purchased a townhouse unit, two years back and now it is nearly ready for occupation. What I did, to take advanage is, to looking at the Flying Star, using the Good House program which Robert specifically developed, mainly for our own use, to locate the best house amongst one of the town house. 3. We had an advantage because speed was essential in such a situation. We used our program to search for a good house. The report narrowed our search to several units. Here, we found a Double 7 house and it is the second unit next to the one at one end of (from the row). We thus use over combined theory of Shapes and Form, Flying Star and Eight house to gain us a competitive advantage. 4. As I mentioned earlier, it is always best to get a correct house (if possible) first round. This would give one a quantum leap and aid us in our `Earth Luck'. In fact, once this is done, I do not even normally need to do a Feng Shui audit for myself. And, the luck will usually hold true. Furthermore, I avoided getting a house with missing corners. 5. If it is a row of townhouse, again I must emphaise: 5.1. Check the location of the toilet. Since it is a new house, why let it cause problems. 5.2 For a townhouse, do check that Qi does not flow a straight path as usually, this is one of the major considerations since windows cannot be located on either all four sides of the house or three sides. Being human, if I do see an excellent unit, I will not hesitate to purchase it especially to stay or rent out. Warmest Regards, Cecil It would be more important to have the main entrance face an auspicious direction for the breadwinner. If the breadwinner and the spouse earn the same level of pay, we still usually consider the breadwinner (first). However, it would indeed be a plus point to have the spouse have the main entrance face an auspicious direction. (It would be `nice to have'). >Also, would you consider my house a fire element? It is just about all red(barn yard red) angled roof with entrance facing S. I've read somewhere that this can contribute to quarrels and discord in the house. Is this true? Thanks. Yes, Red is the most Yang of all the Yang colours. In general, if we talk about this type of barn with the door facing South, we can classify it as a Fire element house. However, if the elements in the house are properly balanced, quarrels can be neutralised. Flying Star theory would be useful here to locate imbalances and neutralise the sectors. Particular attention, thus should be spent analysing the South sector. But, this should not be too much a worry. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  7. Dear Anon, If the pair of hands are stretched out in a `receiving' position, it would not be `auspcicious' unless the hands hold something. A pair of `empty' hands symbolises e.g. begging, and if they are really in this `position' then, best not to display it at all. Thus as you have not exactly described what posture it is, the above are my immediate comments. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  8. Dear Anon, 1. Whenever, we buy a piece of antique, it is best to find out more of it's history if we can. 2. It is not necessary that every piece of antique(s) are bad. 3. If one has an antique furniture, it may still have (absorbed) the Qi from its previous surroundings. 4. If it is only a single piece of e.g. wooden antique furniture, usually, the impact on its new surroundings is not that great. 5. But, if you do have a roomful of such antique furniture, for example, the whole house cluttered with it, the Qi from its old surroundings may still be present. 6. Some Feng Shui practitioners believe that by keeping too many antique furniture etc.. it may `change' a person's mindset such as becoming more `rigid' in thinking etc... 7. Some believe that as mentioned earlier, especially wooden furniture, it would have absorbed the Qi of the previous location. Time would be required to allow this to dissipate. Here, I am not too concerned if it is true or not as one furniture, unlike several furnitures, would make me more `concerned'. 8. I believe that most antique furniture are `clean'. There are some practitioners that believe that, if something had happened (or horrible) had happened to the past owner, especially a favourite piece such as their wardrope or bed, such `spirits' may come together with it. Anyway, Para 8, is in my opinion, very rare and should not happen most of the time. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  9. Dear Ann, Thank you for the information. Currently, it is difficult to know what is the actual cause. This is because, only a full audit and especially a site survey would be able to pin-point what is actually `wrong'. There are a few points: 1. Usually, due to time dimensions, unauspicious stars could have `flown' to that sector of the bedroom. 2. An indirect result could also be the clearing of trees. I am not suggesting anything but, if dogs become `noisy', without apparent reason, more observations may be required on this. 3. Do stand at the window, and see if there are any poison arrow aimed at the house. Especially, a lone lamp post which may now become prominent, because the trees are chopped off. The above are some of the possibilities. But do try to check on Para 3, if you can. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  10. Attached please find additional pictures on the layout of the place and pictures of the bungalow and condo. 1. The plot of land is an excellent `rectangle' shape. 2. The unit which was identified earlier, enjoys a quantum leap, because, wealth is fed by the bungalow. 3. The condominum block is also rectangular in shape and no missing corners. 4. The pool at the frontage of the condominum ensures, clear space. 5. In terms of Shapes and Form, the entire condominum enjoys `excellent' Feng Shui. 6. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the bungalow, as all its wealth feeds towards the specific unit of the condominium. 7. Although the specific unit, (as mentioned earlier) does not have double 7 Flying Star, this is a case where, `wealth' literally falls on the owners. Minimal Feng Shui is needed i.e. if one is not aware of Feng Shui, the condo owners, can continue to enjoy good Feng Shui. My observations of neighours staying here is that generally, all are doing very well both in their careers and home. One lesson here, is that if one buys a new home, do get your initial Feng Shui correct. Sit back and relax and enjoy other pleasures of life.
  11. Dear Anon, 1. Please find pictures of a `small version' of the Chinese Abacus:- 2. The above is a small, abacus. There are larger ones. 3. Usually, they are made of wood. 4. What is the Chinese Abacus? It is a calculator. Where beads are moved up and down and by feel and looking at the beads, complex calculations are made. 6. An expert abacus user can easily calculate numbers faster than one can key in to a modern liquid display calculator. 7. Generally, one can say that the movement of the beads like the computer `bits' and `bytes' i.e. On and off system. 8. In fact, Singapore, introduced the abacus to the schools and this enable students to `fair' better at mathematics. Thus providing a competitive advantage to the students. Many other countries e.g. Taiwan have students who excel in using the Abacus. The speed and complexity of calculation by some of these top students can excel that of a computer or that manually done by students using other `techniques'. 9. Larger abacus are found especially (in the past) in retail outlets all over the country. These accountants, use it to do their accounts. Depending on the size of calcuations, some abacus, have more beads especially in the `top' divider row for such purposes. The soothing sound of someone `clicking' on it is simply wonderful. But unfortunately, uncommon nowadays. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  12. Dear Dylan, If you can provide me the pre-analysed information, and not merely numbers such as 7-2-7 etc... I would be glad to provide you with further advise. As I mentioned in several messages that, time is a precious commodity and I will be glad to help anyone if they provide me with pre-analysed information and not `raw data'. Your main entrance enjoys Double 7's if it lands directly at the main entrance door. For example, within 15 degree deviations e.g. if double 7 is located at 0 degree, the main door should not deviate to the left or right of this 0 degrees. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  13. Hi users For those who do not login to the forum but participate thru the mailing list, here is a real life example of an apartment with excellent Feng Shui:- More pictures are available in the forum under the conference: Photo Tours of Interest (with Pictures) which is not available under the mailing lists as it contains pictures. Warmest Regards, Cecil (C) Cecil Lee, 2000, Real life Shapes and Form Techniques
  14. Hi everyone, The "Receive Position" (C) Cecil Lee Let me introduce you further to real life examples of apartments with excellent Feng Shui:- I coin the above concept `The Receive Position' 1 . A couple of years back, my mum & dad saw an advert in the newspaper on a condominum development. 2. This condominum development is unique in that the government does not allow the bungalow to be destroyed for a large condominum project. 3. Instead, the developers must restore this 100 year old condominum. 4. Thus a Condominum was built facing the side of this bungalow. Between the two or at the frontage of the condominum is the swimming pool. (A picture is attached). 5. The swimming pool is at the frontage of the condominum. Providing a clear space effect. It is at the side of the bungalow. 6. The bungalow, is divided into four apartments: two at ground level and two at the first level. I personally would not want to get the bungalow, as wealth is being `drained' from it. Furthermore, it is `entrapped' position. The bungalow unit also `sits' lower than the swimming pool. My neighbour, the owner of ground floor unit (next to the pool), I understand, has been trying to sell his unit since 2 years ago without success. 7. Fortuantely all units in the condominum were taken up except this unit (in the picture) and a second floor unit). 8. I was pleasantly surprised and excited after doing the Feng Shui audit. 9. It has excellent Shapes and Form, quite unique because, under symbolism in Feng Shui wealth literally flows to the roof of the bungalow and since this particular unit was at the fourth floor, as shown in the example, it is in the `receive' position. 10. Thus `wealth' that flowed to the roof of the bungalow, from the combined four units are `received' by this unit. 11. We immediately purchased the unit and have been staying in it since. This freehold apartment was bought at Singapore $600,000 (as the developer offered $50,000 discount as it was the last two units left and they wanted to sell it in a hurry). Today, it would fetch close to Singapore $1.2 million at current market price. Although it does not have a double `7's this fully makes up for the excelent Shapes and Form. It is unique. My new house, which is ready in a few months at another condominum has double `7's. Therefore, hope you do spot a `unique' Feng Shui house also. As I mentioned, half the battle is won if one has a good Shapes and Form house. If it is like the above house, you get a quantum leap This concept is similarly applied under `The Sterling project' where the unit at the apex, is also at the receive position. My latest acquisition of a new home, does not have this but as mentioned above, has Double `7's. The Good House report module at geomancy-online was used for this acquistion. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. Please ignore, the duplicate picture Meyer2.jpg (which was uploaded twice).
  15. Dear Anon, In my opinion, there are four `sources' of such spirits: 1. Wondering imps. These imps, I believe are playful imps that perhaps are `attracted' to the home e.g. where they pass by a house, found the sound of the windchime. In my opinion, these are quite harmless, but can give nightmares to people. 2. Spirits or souls that could not rest easy. For example, they were brutally murdered, hanged or some other events of such nature. I believe, these spirits soul were not laid to rest and perhaps, the event somehow still continue to be `trapped' in the particular area. 3. The Seven Lunar Month. Since ancient times, the Chinese believed that during the first day to the last day of the Seven Lunar month, each year, the gates of hell are opened and hungry ghosts wander on the earth. During this period, many Chinese are superstitous, and one often see, the burning and offerings during this period. There is also a hungry ghost festival where a performance was made, to applease these hungry ghosts in the hope that they do not make trouble. In the 7th month, you do not see the Chinese (who believe in this) move house nor go to the beach to swim, they avoid travel if they can and marriages are a No, No, during this period. Strangely, either by co-incidence, I often observed that there are more cases of `death' during this month particularly the elderly in my country. Perhaps, this is indeed a co-incidence, but, if one looks into the newspaper (quite alot of obituaries) and go to public housing estates, one frequently finds, tents that signify, that someone had died. As in such housing estates, it is common for the coffin to be placed there for a few days, to allow visitors to pay their last respect. 4. Bad or evil spirits. There are some who pay homage to `evil spirits'. For example, they keep or trap these `evil spirits' in a small bottle. The Japanese has a spirit, which is paid homage in a coffin shape. What happens is that, by paying homage to these `evil spirits', one get a few years of enjoyment e.g. money etc... But, after the time is up, it is payback time. Where you lose your life or return it to them. The person really dies. 5. The earthly posessions of the person are unable to be retained. The only way to get rid of them is to sent them away with the earthly possesions. Only expert `cleansers' can totally get rid of them. If they get `attached' to a house, they can hide inside e.g. large ceramic pottery e.g. large Chinese vases, or trees of my grandfather (my mother's side in Johore Bahru). Fortunately, after the exorist was done, his home was not affected. The large Chinese vases etc.. had to be destroyed and thrown away. If they are not properly removed, it would affect the unfortuanate household owner whom they `fled' there. (This incident really happened in the 1970's to my uncle - my mother's brother's mother in-law). I remembered that my uncle [who is staying in Malaysia, and the incident occurred there] mother-in-law paid homage to the `coffin' Japanese spirit and lost her life). 6. For dogs, I personally had observed a dog that was tied to the front main entrance. When a spirit appears, the dog would move uneasily back and forth and whine or howl uncomfortably. Again, I apologise to anyone if the above cause any anxiety. This is not Feng Shui but, since this question was asked, I would like to share my personal experience on this. 7. Coming back to the question of detection, I have mentioned earlier, the various methods available to detect them. But we must not create an environment conducive to them. For example, without proper knowledge, placing a wind chime especially a metallic one, at Yin locations or metal locations may unduly enhance and `attract' e.g. imps to the house. If the spirit is particularly violent, one may fall sick later. For example, if one uses the Luopan and subsequently, it goes `hay wire', and one falls sick immediately or shortly later, one may have to throw away the Luopan. Currently, based on my personal experience, houses that are build under periods 1, 2 or 3, 4 or 5 are more prone to such occurences. Houses built under Period 6 or 7 are relatively clean. But if there is a major incident, e.g. a hanging or suicide especially at the North East sector, perhaps, the situation is `trapped' there. If it is properly neutralised or elements balanced especially, reducing Yin environment, it can be elimnated. Warmest Regards, Cecil n 4/13/00 3:04:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:
  16. Dear Anon, Please see below:- Generally, it is acceptable to plant the additional flower bushes. Like all plants, they need frequent trimmings (especially, if they had grown / mature). Usually, there is no specific plants that one should keep, but rather, plant plants that are commonly found to thrive and flower in my specific country. It would be nice to see the flowers bloom. Yes, we live in a practical world. Where, we do have things that we keep near our bed. Usually, one do not need to shift it. The only thing is if we can try (where possible to avoid) a sharp corner (if we can). But as you mentioned that it is a small cupboard, it is still acceptable to leave it at the current position. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  17. Dear Elena, Apologies, but I still cannot visualise what you meant. If it is an alley, and there is no poison arrow, it should be acceptable. Or are you referring to the garage is located at the end of the lane. Thanks. Cecil
