  1. 1. Frankly, this has more to do with personal preference (if any). 2. There are some who are neutral to this design or feature. 3. But there are some who may be dislike such a design (symbolism). Perhaps to them, reminds of a tombstone or a the profile of the casket. 4. Best explained as: "One man's meat is another's poison!". YOUR MEAT, MY POISON 5. Therefore, if one were to ask for an opinion, some may even like the design, some may say no preference. And others may cry foul about it. VAULTED CEILING 6. Actually, there will be a higher percentage of people who may INSTEAD feel MORE uncomfortable with the vaulted ceiling.

  6. Ranking Considerations: TOP Three - 1st, 2nd or 3rd Choice? Some of the many considerations for purchase at HDB Central Weave Ang Mo Kio BTO 1. All frontage in this development are suitable to East Group person(s). 2. These frontage [hidden] are very auspicious especially from key collection onwards. 3. North facing units will have slight afternoon sun at an acute angle towards the living room and bedroom windows all year round. 4. Some Stacks do expect afternoon sun soaking into the master bedroom wall. Hopefully in the evening, this heat does not ooze out of the master bedroom wall into the bedroom. 5. Higher floors and above preferred to avoid slight traffic noise or headlights from vehicles using Ang Mo Kio Central 2 or 3. 6. Stack/unit in proximity of the Common Bin Lobby (CBL). For three Stacks not so bad as thesee stacks are further away but at the front entrance area might be able to see into the CBL. 7. Good Shapes and Forms as unit faces a small opening between these two stacks. 8. Kitchen is in the inauspicious Fire @ Heaven's Gate. This can affect male breadwinner's career and also family members overall luck. The impact (if any) also depends on where the stove is located in these units. 9. This is not Feng Shui. But unit numbers like #04-1xx or #14-1xx or in general Stack no. #144 may be affected by future re-sale value. Given that there will be some who don't like this number or combination of such numbers. 10. For some stacks High floors especially 6th floor and above preferred to avoid having a view into the Precinct Pavilion where on ocassions funerals or Malay weddings are held. 11. No issue with living room wall shared with the lift air-well. In fact, it means that this is one of the strongest locations in the block.
  7. Case Study 4: Reminder to Self - Visit Lawyer for him to prepare an Indemnity Form Notice: All visitors to my home must fill in this indemnity form I cannot hold you responsible if any of my family members trip or hurt themselves when entering or exiting YOUR home. BY ORDER OF TOUCH-WOOD Lee & Lee oops... Lim & Lim Law Firm
  8. Case Study 3: There are easily at least more than 250,000 HDB flats with this sloping design since the early 2010's. How to claim that if one does not add such a proposed slope, house is unlucky? Frankly, such raised flooring in such a home may inadvertently become a "nuisance". And touch-wood.. hope not someone trip over this area of the home! The bottom grille gate panels also symbolically act to stop wealth flow. So what is the problem, here? One has to move with modern times. Not necessarily be stuck in the past. LOL
  9. Case Study 2: I also can't see into the unit using this grille gate Nowadays, luckily the new gate design has this "privacy" panel below the entire grille gate. Thus once one close / lock this grille gate same thing under above illustration 2: no one can see or peer into the bottom gap of the front wooden door. Modern HDB flats have privacy panels at the bottom area of the door to prevent people to peep into the unit Once this grille gate is closed, no one can peep into the gap below the front wooden door. And as mentioned, this panel (in red)_ acts also to symbolically prevent "loss of wealth" from the front door - if want to add this argument.
  10. Case Study 1: Very true that having a raised flooring parallel to the front door was a common thing in the past 1. If one visits the Forbidden City, whenever one needs to enter one of the many buildings, there is a raised flooring that one must raise one's legs to enter into that premise. 2. Many use this as "an excuse" that: 2.1. It is auspicious to "raise" legs/feet to enter a place. 2.2. Actually, this is often a good idea in case of minor flooding where this raised "flooring plank" becomes some sort of a barrier for low level flooding. 3. In HDB homes, under illustration 1: if there is no raised flooring, one can easily see into the unit. Much so, if the occupants don't want others to know that they are inside the house. 3.1. Or much like those Police SWAT or special forces placing a "snake-eye" camera and insert into this gap to view into the house! Likewise can be bad people doing so! 4, Once this raised flooring is placed as shown under illustration 2: no one can spy into this home. 4.1. Other benefits include prevent roaches or lizards from entering this home!
  11. Source and Credit: theindependent.sg Source and Credit: theindependent.sg SINGAPORE — A Singaporean resident shared a video of a huge crack along a carpark wall of a supposedly new BTO estate on Tuesday (Jan 31). “This is a brand new BTO, Westscape Bukit Batok carpark wall,” the resident wrote. “We don’t even have all neighbours moved in yet and this is the state of our estate,” the resident added. The resident then urged, “Please help us share (this with) all Singaporeans. We have had neighbours with water leaking from (the) ceiling during heavy rain… we have terrible plumbing such that water pressure is super weak. And this crack now just makes it so much worse.” The eight-second video followed the crack along the wall. Source and Credit: theindependent.sg
  12. HDB Bukit Merah Ridge BTO 1st Choice 2nd Choice 3rd Choice 4th Choice etc... ............ Last Resort By Ranking Exercise Ranking takes into account various considerations... 1. Afternoon sun is at an acute angle towards the frontage e.g. living room & bedroom windows of this unit especially on sunny days every six months of each year. 2. Expect afternoon sun soaking into the master bedroom wall. Hopefully in the evening, this heat does not ooze out of the master bedroom wall into the bedroom. A Stack master bedroom shared wall protudes slightly out more than that of neighbouring stacks thus may be affected by the afternoon sun. 3. North (N2) facing units (standing inside living room looking outwards) are very auspicious [Double auspicious #9's at the frontage] from key collection date to year 2043. 4. South (S2) facing units (standing inside living room looking outwards) are less lucky as weath luck for these units are wasted at the kitchen / stove area. (From 1st owner's key collection date to year 2043.) 5. Two stacks are of close proximity to the Electrical Sub Station (ESS). Although there are no known effects of living near-by to an ESS. However, there can be a stigma when time to resell this unit. One consolation is to purchase Higher floor unit. 6. High floors preferred (at least) 9th storeys and higher to clear the roof-top of Block 133 Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) & lamp posts (if any) which can pose as a threat if it is aimed towards a unit's opening especially the living room windows. 7. Henderson Road is not a busy road unlike Tiong Bahru Road. But do expect some traffic noise during peak hours of the day. For Stack #534 higher floors is preferred to avoid noise coming from buses the near-by bus-stop. 8. Certain stacks has the kitchen in the inauspicious Fire @ Heaven's Gate. This MAY affect male breadwinner's career and also family members overall luck. The impact (if any) also depends on where the stove is located in these units. Can be lessen with otherwise by good Interior Feng Shui luck. = Lowest Rank Stacks/Units 9. Poor external (unseen) Shapes and Forms Feng Shui for some stacks's frontage - as they are close-by to the blocks common corridor bin chute area. Closest to this bin chute (BC) is the master bedroom windows, followed by the rest of bedroom windows. Note: For some stacks luckily this BC is further away and perhaps only from the front door one may be able to see the opening of the BC entrance that's all = Not perfect but not a major issue nor a fatal error. 10. No issue with the front door beside the emergency stairwell and staircase wall. In the past, there was a single parent, she asked me to avoid such a unit because she feared someone could be hiding inside the stairwell and rushed out when she or her daughter opened the unit's door. Is this a concern for you? If not, there should not be an issue since standing at the front door, one cannot possible see the stairs - which to some is considered inauspicious. In addition, a unit's living room wall sharing such a structure is very stable and secure. Much like units attached to part of the lift lobby. 11. High floors preferred (at least) 5th storeys and higher to avoid looking into the Precinct Pavilion (PP) - fortunately the PP is a distance away and at an angle especally from the master living room of two stacks. As activies especially funerals and funeral activies such as prayers can happen anytime. Even during occasions like Chinese New Year. In addition, higher up units may also be able to hear the sounds of religious ceremonies and or from Malay weddings (if any). Therefore, if possible aim for at least 6th storeys or above. 12. Fortunately this number is still okay. Unlike a number with more 4's e.g. xxx etc.. But safer to avoid e.g. #04-xxx or #14-xxx to future proof. So that there will not be an issue with selling this unit with such a number in the near future.
  13. Some HDB clients said they are considering invisible grilles over standard wrought iron or aluminium grilles. Told them to think twice. As unlike condo ECs which are not given a choice, there is no compulsion to install such grilles! I am not associated with this AD. But long ago mentioned my concerns of installing invisible grilles: I repeat, I have no association whatsoever with this AD’s company! Nor seen as endorsing this business.
  14. Based purely on Compass School Flying Star Feng Shui both NE1 and S2 facing are less lucky as the very auspicious double #9 stars falls at the "rear of the unit". Meaning wealth luck are wasted at the kitchen area. What this implies? The opposite is true for SW1 and N2 facing directions as these two facings have instead, their wealth luck found at the frontage (Living room, bedrooms) side of the unit under Period 9: upon key collection till 2043. Which are easily at least 14 or more years of stay. Please note that the above does not take into consideration: Shapes and Forms Feng Shui as well as how suitable is the unit to breadwinner(s). Reference Resource: NE1: [Double 9's wasted at the rear]. Where is that? the Kitchen area of these BTO flats. S2-3: [Double 9's wasted at the rear] Where is that? the Kitchen area of these BTO flats.
