  3. Case Study 2: Is the Sales Brochure Useful for Feng Shui? Introduction: For brand new just launched developments, there is no physical site to visit the completed buildings and apartments. 1. The only thing we can do is to visit the show room (which often is close-by to the site) as well as obtain a sales brochure and see the mock-up of the development. As well as try to ask questions from the sales agent (if any). 1.1. We must still try to gather as much information as we can. 2. Summary of Case Studies in this article. If the information is overwhelming. Pick and choose selective articles... 1A & B: Common Rubbish Bin 2A & B: Interior unit Dry Walls 3: Fire at Heaven's Gate 4: Sha Qi or Poison Arrows from Club-house roof-lines 5: 3 Panel Sliding Doors at the Balcony 6: Drainage at the Balcony 7: Air-con Ledges 8: Mixed Developments + Cooling Towers 9: Termite infestations 10: Coffee-shop below or near to unit 11: Water tank at roof-top 12: Lamp Posts, Pillars, Tree Trunks 13: Spice Garden in an EC/condo 14: EC/condo Clubhouse 15A & B: Pneumatic Waste Collection System 16: Look closely at the development's scale model for clues 17: Buying a Mixed development apartment 18: Survey or study facilities surrounding the development 19: Pump Room below a unit 20: Seven Commandments of Stove Placement 21: Is there a potential poison arrow from the neighbours? 22: Should I be concerned with a near-by temple, church, mosque &/or elder care? 23: Is the compass marking on the Sales Brochure accurate? 24: Sites reserved for Schools? 25: Doors face each other? [Main Door/Bedrooms] 26: Unit numbers with 4, 44 or 444 Okay? 27: Stove or sink or WC at the Centre of the house? 3. It is always an excellent idea to spent some time to scrutinise a prospective sales brochure of our potential buy (purchase). 4. Recently, more and more clients have discovered to their shock (horror) that the least expected was the location of the central rubbish bin outside their unit. 5. A year ago; many had purchased a premium unit within the development .. and later shocked to learn that the central rubbish chute (for their entire floor) is just next to their main door! 6. Thus the morale of the story is to check first before signing on the dotted line. 7. In general, most developments have these:- 8.1. A central rubbish collection centre / rubbish bin collection point 8.2. Power Sub-station. Every development usually has one or more of these depending on the size of the development. 8.3. Design of club-house roof-lines / trellis / gazebo / pavilion. Are the designs a "threat" e.g. with spikes or like a razor's edge? Usually these are aimed towards lower storeys. 8.4. Any poison arrows in the form of a sharp corner of another block of neighbouring stack aimed towards one's balcony (hard to cure) or towards one's windows (if any) 8.5. Location of areas like BBQ pits and any impact e.g. the smell from these pits towards a unit.. especially low storeys such as #01 or #02 first or second storeys 8.6. Any tree trunk aimed towards a lower unit e.g. #01 or #02. Unfortunately it may be too late; especially if the development is under construction. 9. There are lots more considerations... 9.1. Do remember "Read in-between" the lines.. Learn More:

  6. Thanks very much! Will do the review ASAP
  7. It may be a concern if the house is a landed property. But based on this photo shown, unlikely to be an issue. The test is can a vehicle plough through ang ram into the unit? Yes/No? No vehicle on the road can "fly so high" and cause damage to unit #10-66. From your one photo, also, there is a large green area. And no vehicle can also touch the block.

  13. Dear Alex, 1. In fact, if one does a research or a key SEARCH in this forum (even as far back as 1999), there are lots of resources on the topic of fish tank or keeping fishes. 2. Please click this link to have a better understanding of fish tank & keeping fishes from a Feng Shui perspective:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/arowanafish.htm 3. It is good to review Q2 in the above hyperlink to understand the real relationship between the Five Elements Concept to a water position i.e. be it a fish tank or a water feature. 4. Key extracts from the above article are as follows:- " ...We can introduce the following elements:" 5. Please also see the illustration of a Five element water feature to understand the type of element associated with the water feature. 6. For a fish tank also, one should also introduce all five elements into it:- 7. For example, it is always recommended to use: a rectangular fish tank = earth element goldfish/ angle fish= gold element water in the tank = water element fire in the tank = either red fishes or lights in the fish tank wood in the tank = use either a decorative scenery piece stuck to the back of the tank or some plants in the fish tank 8. In fact, if one has all Five elements, this is considered as a very good balance of all five elements. 9. Besides the above, which is often considered as a "Hobbist" fish tank. Often a hobbist loves their fishes and would often create a very nice looking scenery in the tank. And in fact, such a hobbist would automatically have all the five elements in his/her fish tank. 10. FISH TANK USED AS A CURE / ENHANCEMENT 10.1 As one can see, the purpose of you having a fish tank has to do more of a hobbist or a lover of fishes. 10.2 In Feng Shui, a fish tank is often used as a cure or enhancement. But often better results for enhancing wealth is by the use of a water feature instead of a fish tank because it has more vibrant qi. Thus overall, mostly it is used a cure. 10.3 Poison arrow 10.3.1 If there is a lone lamp post slicing thru a window of a home: In Taiwan, often the cure is to place a plant to shield this sha qi. This is because most likely, homes are landed property. 10.4 FENG SHUI CURE FOR PROBLEM SHAPES AND FORMS FENG SHUI 10.4.1 In Hong Kong however, a fish tank is often used to neutralise this lone lamp post:- 10.4.2 The rationale is to make or apply the Five elements concept:- Where the poison arrow is a lone lamp post. And under the Five elements concept this tall thin lamp post even if it is made of metal or wood is considered as a "wood" element. Much like a tall thin tree. Thus to neutralise this bad wood element, a fish tank is often introduced by a Feng Shui master:- Poison arrow = bad wood element A fish tank has :- water in the tank = water element goldfish = metal element light in the tank or red coloured fishes = fire element rectangle fish tank = earth element. Thus, together with the bad wood, all the other four elements in the fish tank will combine to form a harmonious five element flow. 10.5 FENG SHUI ENHANCEMENTS/CURES RELATED TO THE FLYING STAR FENG SHUI Under Flying Star Feng Shui, one will hear of enhancements such as:- 7 gold fishes with 1 black Here 7 represents weak metal element and 1 black fish represents the metal element. Thus if a frontage has a very auspicious double 8's , the introduction of metal with water combination fishes is very auspicious for this sector. Alternatively, 6 gold fishes with 1 black is similar to the above. Other than 6 is strong metal with 1 representing water element. Warmest Regards, Cecil
  14. Please check this link for a better understanding of fish count.
  15. 1. Yes, of course, best to be further away from any hospital. 2. What is most concerned is to try to avoid the mortuary of any hospital. As unfortunately there can often be deaths in any hospital even one specialising only in births. 3. Often, in any hospital, there is always a "waiting room" where a deceased may be transferred temporary to that waiting or collecting area. Often a family member may be tasked to be a witness when the body is to be collected by the respective casket company etc... 4. Furthermore, it is a subjective matter. Be it opinions from relatives, friends or future re-sale potential buyers. Related:
  16. Any concern if my Master Bedroom is irregular shaped? Habit 3 is a good bet! An excellent Safety Net! What is Habit 3?
  17. Case Study: Wow! Master Bedroom has Lucky Stars! Good! Part 1: How suitable is the unit - Frontage, Kitchen & Main Bedroom? [30 marks] Part 2: How is the luck of the Interior Feng Shui of this unit? [35 marks] Part 3: External Feng Shui luck? With Overall score/luck. [35 marks] [Total = 100 marks] This Master bedroom located at NE Sector has good Flying Star Influence [See below] Thus it does not really matter if bedroom is rectangular or odd shaped! Or less of a concern for this Master bedroom NOTE: This is just a sample to show that the Master Bedroom at NE has good family and relationship luck but rectangular shaped bedroom.
  18. These are some considerations: 1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui 1.1. Traditionally, it is preferred that newly married couples do not occupy similar or identical "odd master bedroom layouts". 1.2. The tale is that such bedrooms are harder to "move" for such couples. And can lead to quarrels, conflicts and even divorces. 1.3. Fortunately, there are also many others who can live with such layouts. Is an odd shaped Master Bedroom unlucky? 2. Unfortunately YES! If it has bad Flying Stars! 2.1. Not only is this sample illustration's Master bedroom with an odd shape, but what is worse-off is that the Master bedroom is sandwiched between East and SE. 2.2. And both sectors has "nasty" Flying Star Feng Shui of Quarrels, bad luck, lawsuit, loss of wealth, gossips and fabricated troubles! Comments: 1. Master bedroom = lots of quarrels, conflicts and legal entanglements 2. Frontage = loss opportunies and not great for career luck 3. House generally has stagnat wealth luck Recommended to look elsewhere
  19. understand, and once again THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  20. Thank you so much, Master Lee! I learnt something today. Have a good weekend Good afternoon Master Lee. Based on the one year combined auspicious dates you provided, we are considering 17 Sep 2023 for wedding. May I just enquire that this date will be good for us, regardless the 通勝 states good or bad for wedding? Thank you. Tung Shu dates is still considered a general date that is suitable for everyone. So that doesn't consider whether individually your ba zi date is suitable to the date or not. That is why even if you look at a date in Tung Shu, you still have to check if the day clashes/harms with the bride or groom or not. As ultimately, every one will have some day which are better or not. So it can't be everyone on this planet will have the same good day based on the tung shu. This is why even if you check the Tung Shu, you still need to check if that day is suitable to that person or not before using it. Our auspicious dates, consider all these factors and attempt to find the date with the least clash/harm with 1 or 2 person involved. The goal is to find a date which least clash/harm which will eventually be the best overall date. So generally our auspicious date will superceed any generalised Tung Shu or general horoscope etc. Thank you so much, Master Lee! I learnt something today. Have a good weekend
