So long as the REAR of the house is higher than this sunken area, is fine or okay in Feng Shui. you immediately nailed the situation, master. This sunken will be convenient if wanted as filling up is necessity. Increase the elevation of the property a bit from the road.

It is always a welcoming sight to see some extended reinforced concrete (RC) roofing such as those circled, here. Often, for high floors or floors closer to this RC roofing, occasionally forgetting to close the windows or leaving a slight opening, does wonders to the ventilation of a room. Especially if one does not always depend on air conditioning most of the time.
