This is to provide additional security and privacy to our members. Although, this feature was already available many years back. We did not enforce it as the report generate especially for complex report would slow downsignificantly. However, due to our recent dual harpertown server upgrade last year, we found that the reports would not slow down as much as it did in the past.As such, decided to enforcemake SSLlogin a requirement for all member area. This is so that we no longer need to apply GMT time changes to any of our online reports. Also, this will make forum/email date and time correspond more correctly to our local time, rather than to the local time of where our server is hosted. 9) Recently, we have been using Firefox/Google Chrome/Safari browser much more than we normally do. As we were using these alternative browsers, we detected some html page formatting differences when viewed in these browsers. As I see these formatting differences, I try to fix them so that they will be viewed as correctly as it would be when you use the Internet Explorer. 10) We also constantly upgrade our server software. This is to ensure we have the latest server technology to make sure the website can support the latest technology. We also constantly make sure our website is optimised properly so that it takes a little time for the server to generate the page. This will ensure that server can handle lots of traffic at any single moment. So far wehave yet to see the server slow down even with the increased traffic. Although we have not posted much website announcements. There has been quite a lot of enhancements made overthe year. Dear Anon, What this means is that:- 1) Your favourable elements are:- a) Fire (4%) b) Earth (4%) Both are equally lacking, so both are good for you. 2) Your unfavourable elements are:- Wood (45%) - Too much so much reduce or avoid Water (45%) - Too much so much reduce or avoid Metal (0%) - Although, this is your unfavourable, but having too little is also no good. So some metal when you have sufficient of Fire+Earth will help you attain perfect harmony of 20% of each element. However, this element is still bad for you, so until you have enough of Fire+Earth, adding metal without Fire+Earth will still weaken you. So basically, you need to first add Fire and Earth which are to strengthen you. After you have sufficient of Fire and Earth, some Metal will help to destory the excess Wood. The goal is to have 20% of each element to be in perfect harmony, so you need some of each element. But not too much or too little. Having too much or too little of one elemene vs another is what caused the unbalanced state. It is impossible to tell how things around you will impact your percentage value. So you just need to follow the advise of adding Fire+Earth first. When you have sufficient of that then some Metal will benefit you. How you do this is for example, say in your career. If you are Sales (Fire). Say your job also handles some Accounting (Metal). Dear Rachel, Actually, that is not really contradicting at all. The balance of five element is for you to fine tune your favourable and unfavourable elements. You should simply just proritise the favourable elements in to the different percentage. For example, a strong water, favourable arewood (0%) / fire (26%) / earth (5%). This simply means that:- Wood (0%) is the most favourable Earth (5%) is the 2nd most favourable Fire (26%) is the least favourable as there is already more than sufficient. Same goes for the unfavourable element. For example Metal (50%) and Water (5%). Metal (50%) would be most unfavourable (so should avoid) Water (5%) would be the least unfavourable (some water when there is sufficient wood/earth/fire would be good for a perfect harmony) So the balance of the five element is meant for you to determine which element you need more and which you need lesser. Ultimately, your favourable elements will still be good for you. Only that, the element you lack mostmay be more effective then the element you have more than sufficient. In this case, your son's fire is 0% which means this is likely the least unfavourable element. Some Fire when you have sufficient wood/water to boost your son'sweak Wood is actually beneficial for him. However, you can only add fire after you have strengthen his weak wood, otherwise, it will make him weaker. So this means that though fire is still her unfavourable elements, she already have sufficient of it, so adding more fire won't be as effective as adding more water. The confusion here is that when we talk about 11pm-1am, it crosses between b) and c), so the reason why the modern practitioner feels there is a need to break it to early morning and late morning, is because they are refering to b) and c). But don't forget, the day is already a new day for c). The Early / Late Hour is already being considered as you should be refering to a) and b) and c) and d). Meaning the day has to be of the same day. Those that apply this concept, forgot, that the day is already broken up to the early and late zi. So there is really no need to further modify the concept. We must always focus that the Rat hour spans between two dates. But the correct way of assessing that Hour,is the hour represents the time of the day for the same day:- a) 14 Nov 12am-12.59am is already considered the early morning of the 14 Nov. b) 14 Nov 11pm-11.59pm is already considered the late evening of the 14 Nov. If you do it that way, it is exactly the same as what the modern practitioners did of breaking the hour into early or late morning. But they are only applying a 2nd division if you do so. Thus, we find it a very flawed variation in the ba zi concept. Furthermore, by further breaking the hour into Early/Late Rat, instead of having 12 equally divided chinese hours, you now have 11 equally divided chinese hours and 1 chinese hour that is specially broken down into 1/2 a chinese hour. This actually will break the original concept of the ba zi which is based on the 12 earthly branch and 10 heavenly stem. So technically, this is incorrect and will only break the cycle of the 12 hours that ba zi was originally designed for. Thus, it is not recommended to do so. In fact there are a lot of varations for even the same concept. As a newbie to feng shui, you can easily get confused if you do not understand the reason behind it. As for our analysis, we use a mathematical formula of evaluating your favourable vs unfavourable to determine if you are weak or strong. In the above link, i have a few examples showing that. So there is no need for me tohave to individually explain how come it is weak/strong. All our report can be proven with the same formula. So if our free report shows you as a weak element, it is due to your unfavourable element being more to favourable element. Only then will we know which are the auspicious datesavailable before your wedding event can be used as the An Chuan or Guo Da Li. Guo Da Li or An Chuan is usually done 1 week or 1 month before the actual date. As for the auspicious hour, usually this is less important as long as the day is good. But for practical reasons usually most wedding will start in morning about 7-9am or 9-11am timing range. So most of the time we opt for more practical sounding such as 9 (jiu or longevity ie 8.29am etc) So again we still need the ba zi information in order to know which hour is auspicious for picking up the bride or tea ceremony. Yes, South sector is Fire, so if Earth flies there, it will be strengthened by it. Again, after any fire has strengthen the Earth, Fire will be exhausted. But Earth will be very strong by then. While Fire would be weak or virtually exhausted. Fire there does not really affect anything except it makes Earth Strong. So the bad star Earth is left even stronger than it was. In order to dissolve the strong Earth star, you need Metal. That is why you need Metal where there is a Strong Earth. Metal will help exhaust the Earth. So any star 6 (StrongMetal)or 7(weakMetal)will help. So this portion I think you got confused. In any case, we normally prioritise that any strengthen of flying star is done first by other Flying Star rather than by the sector. Hi, Actually, I had previously replied to a similiar question about the Follow the Leader or special type chart. As we already considered them when we broke the five element into your favourable and by five element percentage value. Those special chart are nothing more than an extremely unbalanced chart which requires you to increase more of the element you lack and reduce the elements you have too much more. Which is basically the five element percentage portion of the ba zi analysis that our website uses. For example, a Strong Wood by default usually means :- Fire/Earth/Metal are your favourable.Assuming you know the percentage such as 10% Fire/ 35% Earth / 0% Metal. You will know that even though Earth is your favourable but as you already have 35% which is 15% over normal 20%, you won't benefit from having more. In fact, Metal which you have 0% would ideally be the element you like to have more. While Water/Wood are your unfavourable. Assuming again you know the percentage 50% Water / 5% Wood for example. This means you a Strong Wood because of too much Water rather than Wood. While Wood is generally still lacking. So this means that you want to avoid Water but some Wood is good for you when you have sufficient of your favourable elements (Fire/Earth/Metal) first. So really if you understood the how those special charts generally comes from, it is really nothing special if you had applied the ba zi favourable elements with the five element percentage to breakdown what exactly you really need. While another stays in a peaceful country, so his luck will be significantly improved. Thus, although both may appear to have the same chart, their luck encountered will be ultimately different. Even if both stays in the same country, but one works hard and another one is lazy. This human luck factor also affects the outcome of the actual luck he or she will enjoy. Even if Earth and Human luck is similiar, but say one ventures more into his favourable career or elements, another chooses to go into career that is unfavourable, their luck will again be different. So what this shows is that the ba zi only attempts to reveal the luck a person is born with. With that info, you know what elements is favourable/unfavourable for you, when are the good and bad times. As long as you try to have more favourable elements and avoid the unfavourable elements, even if the period is bad for you, you will reduce the impact of that bad period. So once you understand this, you will know that the ba zi only shows you what luck you will have assuming everything else is not adversely affecting it. But in reality, there are Earth and Human luck factors that isn't considered in the ba zi. So that will eventually change the reality luck that you actually encounter. That is why the ba zi IS NOT a forecast of luck you actually encounter. But rather it is a luck forecast of what luck you are suppose to have. Or you may face difficult Middle Age (Day) or difficult Childhood (Year). All depends on what context you are refering to.
