Dear Marie, Frankly, the daily flying star is found in the tung shu. So there is really no need to calculate it if any. Furthermore, daily flying star isn't really practical as no one in the right mind will want to make changes to your home every day. So just look up the tung shu will do. There really isn't a formula available. If you really want to have a formula, then you need to work out your own formula from a fix date sometime in the past. Then using that fix date, you will be able to work out a constant difference to apply to any date. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master, I am born in Singapore before 1 Jan 1982. During this day, the time was brought forward by 1/2 hour. Hence, my birth hour for Bazhi analysis is different before and after 1982. Which one should I use? See link. Thanks. http://www.math.nus.edu.sg/aslaksen/teaching/timezone.html This is exactly, why one of the reasons we do not apply timezone as method to determine the location of birth is due to the simplication of the timezone. Anyway, the timezone only affect one which is the longitude which represents east/west. So it only factor in one factor of the long. and lat. of birth. That is why this is a very bad way to apply location factor into ba zi. And we do not apply long. and lat. of birth to ba zi for a simple fact not everyone record the long. and lat. of birth. So best to just use the local time of birthl. I am sure when you are born, the time recorded should be the timezone before any changes were made to the timezone. So just use that time of birth as your local time of birth. Don't make further changes to the time of birth. Hope that helps. Dear Talice Ang, TALICE ANG wrote: I just purchase one unit of HDB, the construction of the block is at period 7, but the house owner did a renovation last year, when i using your free flying star report i should select period 7 or 8. Whether or not it is a period 8, depends on how major the renovation work. I mean if there is confirm hacking down of walls or even major floor tiles changes, these are usually major enough to force a change of Qi to period 8. Otherwise, it would be safer to classify as a Period 7 house first. In any case, you can always fly the house chart to period 8. So probably you want to ask yourself if you plan to have any major renovation after you move-in. If you do, then youcan treat it as a period 8. If not, then to eliminate any doubt, it is still better to fly the house luck to period 8 so that you can activate the current period 8 stars luck. Rather than worry if it is still a period 7 or perio 8. TALICE ANG wrote: And this unit is at 10 floor i should the the direciton of the house from main door or the window? Since it is above 8th floor, then it is recommended to take the living room/balcony facing direction or where most light enters into the house. That will be the facing direction you should take rather than the main door. Only if your house is located on the 2nd-7th level, then you take the main door as your facing direciton. TALICE ANG wrote: I friend told me that the main door(located at south) is the no 5 star and is very bad for the family, what can i do to encounter this? You really have to see what is the stars in that sector. I mean for almost all chart, the star 5 and star 2 which are the misfortune and illness star will always be found in one of the 9sector. It is worst if say 3 of the stars in the same sector is 525 for example. So yes, star 5 maybe bad, but it depends on what other stars is present. It is the interaction of the stars that determines how bad the sector is.Some stars may neutralise the star 5 such as star 6 strong metal can help to neutralise the effect. Generally if there is a star 5 which is a Strong Earth star, then avoid bright yellow/bright red colour. Metal (white/gold) influence colours would be best. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello I'm confused as to which time I'm supposed to put to calculate my ba zi chart. Are you supposed to always use Beijing, China time or do you put the time for where you born? I was born in New York, USA after 2am on March 17, 1981. Do I use that time and date, or do I have to convert it to china time and date? 1. The only true way to factor in location is to apply the long. (longitude) and lat. (latitude) of birth. However, in reality how many people actually record the exact long. and lat. of birth? I mean even if you know you are born roughly in a hospital, the hospital also have different long. and lat. depending on which part of the building you are on. 2. GMT difference is a very bad or inaccurate way to apply location factor, as it does not really factor in the true location. Furthermore, GMT has been simplified so much that it now groups certain country into a single timezone. So again, it does not show the true location factor. 3. If you know how ba zi works, the hour pillar isn't really the most important pillar, as such even if you do not have the hour, the ba zi can still forecast a fairly accurate prediction. That is because the luck forecast depends more on the month pillar than the hour. 4. Ultimately, how a ba zi deduce what you lack is by working out what are the breakdown of elements affecting you. Ultimately, if you calculate them properly, you will be able to properly balance out what you lack. Thus our stand is simply just to use your local time of birth for any ba zi or feng shui reports on our website. We do not really apply any further time changes. It is more important to work out what you lack and try to balance them up. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Maxx, maxx ha wrote: The flying star for next year, facing south is evil position but my kua said is wealth. Which should I follow? You need to always remember, your gua determines your favourable directions. There will always be 4 good and 4 bad directions. However, what is good for you need not necessary means that the luck for the house in that direction will be good for you. The flying star basically tells you how is the luck of the house for that particular year / month etc. So what it means is that next year the luck of your house will change in that sector slightly. So you still need to fix it. Once you correct the sector, then the it will continue to remain your favourable direction for use. Hope that helps. He will be tested son. I believe I have e-mailed you that Feng Shui is by no means a mircle cure for all problems. Where it comes to health issues, it is better to seek doctor advise. Just like when it comes to romance, besides all the compatibility analysis, the human luck factor is equally important to get it right. Unfortunately, I know you have been waiting for me to reply, but I have been so busy that I have yet to really go through your son's chart. In fact, there are still many many unanswered questions in the forum, so hope you understand that as much as I would like to help each and everyone, it is really not possible in reality. Everytime, I try to clear some, there will be even more posted. So it is just a never ending cycle. So what I have done is provided you with a paid ba zi premiumreport credit in your account. You can try to access it and have more of his favourable elements. This may improve his luck, and thus with medical advise and treatment, it probably will help in some way. If you read it and have areas you do not understand, then I can guide you along as your post them. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Hazel, hazel wrote: According to the wealth report: Your true wealth sector is South-East (Prosperity). This represents Money Luck & Promotion. Is is best located at your main door, bedroom or work place. However, in my home, my kitchen and back door is located in the SE. Does this affect my Wealth? As a fresh graduate, I also have not much luck in my career, even though I did quite well in school. What can I do to improve things? Generally, there are a few wealth sectors. This was based on your eight house which means that if your house can face SE or have your bedroom in SE sector then you will benefit from such house giving you additional wealth luck from your being suitable to you. So this you need to worry when you have your own house in the future. If you are currently staying with your parents etc, then it won't really matter except for the bedroom to fall within suitable sector so that you can benefit from staying in the room. Even if you do not have this, every house itself also have the wealth (zheng cai/pian cai) luck based on where the current/future auspicious stars. These are flying star sectors which you need use to maximise the luck of the house. So even if the house isn't the most suitable for you, you still be able to draw luck from it. hazel wrote: Also, in your 'What color should I paint my bedroom?' report, it says "using colours which is the two different parties Binding Element, you can use the pillars comparison to help determine this binding element." Where do I find the Binding Element on your site? You can check the comparison report in the free report sector:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net The comparison report will give you the binding element for any two persons that you are comparing. So if the room you intend to paint is between the two persons, then you use this binding or common element. If you are the only person staying in the room, then choose any of your favourable colours from your ba zi. hazel wrote: Then, in my BaZi analysis, it says "Your career ie a Job favourable for you are:- * Water - Advertising, Arts, Communications, etc * Fire - Marketing, Sales, Fashion, etc". What other jobs are water or fire? I am in the food line, working as Quality Assurance to ensure hygiene in a production line supplying food items locally and internationally. Is this alright? You can refer to this chart for general five element and career breakdown:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Food related industry is Earth element. Quality Assurance and Food distribution is more Wood element. Given water and fire element is your more favourable elements, then it isn't the most suitable career for you. hazel wrote: Also, what exactly is meant by 'Spook' direction? Generally, the Eight House has 4 good or 4 bad directrions. Spook is what we call wu gui (five ghost sector). Generally, that means if you work facing such direction, you may be distracted easily. That is all. hazel wrote: I am also aware my best position for working is North, and have position my computer facing north. But my relative has warned me that next year (2008) is bad for me to face North, I should face East because of TaiSui. Is this correct? Genrally, you need to always remember that TaiSui (Grand Duke) is more general compared to your personalised direction. Yes, it is always changing from year to year. However, the more important aspect about TaiSui is avoid having major renovations in the North and if possible try to avoid facing him. So unless you have another position that does not face North and is suitable for you to use, then you can consider using the alternative direction. Otherwise, as long as you do not plan to have any major renovations, it won't affect you very much. I mean it is just not practical to avoid using that sector just because the TaiSui is there for that year. Especially, if there is no other sitting position for you to make use of. So where there is no other sitting position, sitting in your better direction facing the grand duke is even better than sitting in your bad direction away from grand duke. But in any case, avoid any major renovations and you should be ok. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Frankly, I did not gave priorityto answer the post as the information provided was incomplete, in order to get the right information, I would have to try and error to deduce the possible YEAR and HOUR information. Anyway, since you repost a recent message to look into it. I will just correct the area you got wrong:- Anonymous wrote: 1) Asher self element is FIRE, bornin the 3rd monthof Winter (per lunar calender), when WATER is most prosperousand FIRE at its weakest (put out by water), how can she can be aStrong Fire? Anonymous wrote: 2) Being born in Winter when Water is most prosperous and dominates, why does herseason of birthunder the Month pillarearthly branchshowsWood? Shouldn't this be Water insteadwhich was in season? And if so, wouldn't this then make her a Weak Fire? (I have read books which suggested so) I did not waste time to attempt to guess the exact date of birth. However, since you mentioned she was born in the 3rd month of the Windeter season. Then the season of birth would beEarth element influence and not water element. 1st month Winter - Water 2nd month Winter - Water 3rd month Winter - Earth You see there are basically 4 seasons. But there are 5 elements. So the Earth element would be missing if every 3 months is assigned to the Water/Wood/Metal/Fire. But where is the Earth? In fact, every 3rd month of all seasons will thus be theEarth element. This is due to the in-between seasons. So if you mentioned 3rd month of winter, then it is Earth element and not Water element. So the seasonal strength is based on Earth element season and not Water element season. Also, to deduce whether a person is weak or strong, just considering the season's and basic element representation isn't enough. You have to still consider the combinations and clashes that may alter the original element. And then after all those factor are considered. That is why for our report, we considered all these changes then we make out a mathematical formula that will convert it into percentage values. With percentage values of what is the exact element represented, it is very easy to determine if favourable elements vs unfavourable elements is greater. From there, you will know for sure if it is weak or strong. If you do not consider all these factors, it is very easy for you to deduce an inaccurate element strength. In the case of our reports, they are all extensively tested, as such if our free report shows asa Strong Fire, then she is a Strong Fire. If our report shows it as a weak Fire, then she is a weak Fire. The results won't differ from the paid report. Except that we do not show you the exact percentage breakdown which is only available in the paid report. Anonymous wrote: As a separate question, as her chart lacks Water Element, presumbaly thisbecomes her most favourable (being most needed) element? Would the hidden element of Water help to balance her chart? (formed by combination of Yang Fire + yin metal in the stem). Hidden element combinations are usually not strong enough, so we normally do not consider them directly. The hidden element would be most useful in the luck pillar analysis more than your own chart. Usually, once the five element percentage breakdown is determined, we will try to make sure every element is 20%. This means among the favourable element, which element is most lacking would be the most favourable followed by the other element. Then amongs the unfavourable element, the element that is too much must be avoided. While, if the unfavourable element has too little, some of that along with the favourable elements will actually be good. Hope that helps. Dear Tristan, Quote: As a weak water person, I am currently dealing with insurance(earth) sales(fire), which are both unfavourable. It states that my favourable elements are metal and water, does it mean that it would be better for me to move into fields with such elements present? Which industries does such elements entail? As a weak water, your general favourable elements are water and wood. As to which element you lack more, etc that will depend on what is your five element percentage breakdown. Generally, this means any water or wood element careers would be better for you. Here is a link with some common breakdown of five element and career. URL: http://talk.geomancy.net/ So wood elements would be like cafe/arpentry/catering/distribution, engineering, electronics, filming, growth, hospital, new technology, paper, plants, restaurants, scifentific instruments, teachnology, transport, training, travel etc. While water elements would be like advertising, arts, brewing, communications, computers, drinks, healing, laundry, literature, manufacturing, media, music, therapy etc. Generally, the more areas in your life that is wood/water, ie the colour scheme, the house facing/direction, people around you etc. The more that is water and wood related, the better your overall luck. Dear Kim, TEO KIM ENG wrote: Can you advice me on how to find the "cai wei" in the house. Generally, the "cai wei" is always changing depending on your house luck. It changes from each 20-year Period to20-year Period and even year-to-year/month-to-month. However, we often focus on the main 20-year and yearly luck if any. The way to find it is to use the flying star chart which is available in our member area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net Generally, if your house is built between 2004-2023 (Period 8), then your current wealth sector is star 8, while your future star is Star 9 etc. So where there is a water star 8 that is your Zheng Cai (earned wealth), while the mountain star 8 represents your Pian Cai (unexpected wealth). So depending on where these stars fall in your house, that is where your wealth sector is. Same goes for if your house is built 1984-2003 (Period 7), then your current wealth is star 7 and future star is star 8. So where these stars falls in the house, that is where your wealth sectors is present. So you need to activate the sector accordingly. Water star needs open space or water feature. While mountain star needs an enclosed room or mountain/rock feature. This is always changing depending on your house facing, when the house is built or had a major renovation etc. The luck also changes from year to year which you can also try to fine tune each year. But more important is to activate the main 20-year luck and a slight fine tuning to year. No one will usually worry about the month to month or day to day changes as that will be too impractical. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Josephine, josephine Panopio wrote: Good day! I need help.. We bought a new house, th problems are.. the bathroom is in the center. there is a missing corner and the house number is 11104.My birthdate is March 12, 1974 and I m Josephine. I am worried because I read that these are not good. I thnk the house is facing NE, I just need help right npw because we are moving on January so that I can do whatever I need to do. Please, I appreciate your help. I can send the floor plan if you need to. Thank you so much. Generally, that is why it is important that you check the house for such key flaws before you buy them. Otherwise, it will be harder to correct them. 1. Bathroom in the center of the house is a major flaw that is hard to fix as you cannot simply move the toilet to another position. However, on it's own it does not really mean that your house will be doom. It often takes two or more major leaks together to create problem. Some common way to minimise it is to keep the toilet door closed and toilet seat cover down when not in used. The other is to buy a hulu (bottle gourd) which will symbolise trapping wealth before it leaks out of the house. These two are usually some of the methods to prevent wealth leak out of the house. 2. As for the missing corner, you can either have:- a)Mirrors to extend the missing corner from inside the house; b) Or have a concave bagua to try to suck wealth back from the missing corner. c) Or create a stone garden landscape to form the missing corner. Such that when you view the house from the top down, you no longer see the missing corner. Anyway, missing corner isn't often a major factor. Most houses will often have some missing corner here and there. So it isn't really a major issue to worry about compared to the toilet in the center of the house. 3. As for the house number. Generally this is more likely to affect your future resale value especially, if you sell to Chinese believers as they will often avoid numbers such as 4 (death in cantonese pronounciation), even 1 as it can mean loneliness etc. Most will like the house number to contain like 6 (luck) / 8 (wealth) / 9 (longevity)etc. Anyway, this is more a individual likes and dislike. As there are really many ways to determine whether a number is auspicious. Some goes by sound of the number, some goes by whether the number is their lucky number etc. I mean even say 4 to some people this is bad luck, but to some this is an auspicious number. So I won't worry too much about the house number. So as mentioned, it will affect future re-sale value but won't have any immediate problems. Generally, a NE/SW facing house has good flying star luck in Period 8, and if you are aWest group person this house is generally a good house facing direction. However, if you are a East group person, then it won't be your favourable direction. Eitherway, if the house is built before 2004, you might want to consider to fly the house to Period 8 to tap the auspicious stars. Anyway, it is best you get someone to properly review your house, then try to balance up all the negative aspects and activate some of the good luck so that whatever problems will be minimised. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Gary, Gary Lim wrote: I find your website very user friendly and informative!.. Glad that you enjoy the information on our website:- Gary Lim wrote: I have 1 question though. recently, i checked the Chinese Calender (Those with auspicious &inauspicious predictions) and it shows that 16th of december is a good day for shifting house. What you need to remember is that a typical chinese calendar DOES NOT personalise to any one person. So it is a general date that is supposed to be good or bad for everyone. In general, there are two ways to check an auspicious date:- 1. Just do a quick lookup in a Tung Shu or Chinese Alamac, and pick the date that is deemed auspicious for whatever event you are looking for. Often, you still have to double check yourself if the day clashes with your horoscope sign etc. (This is at least the basic check you need to consider as the Chinese Alamac does not personalise to any one person.) 2. If you have a personalised auspicious date, that considers your ba zi etc. Just like our free 30-days auspicious date. Then this report will superceed the general tung shu. The reason is because, even if a day is deemed good in a Tung Shu, but sometimes that day may also clash with your ba zi/horoscope. Then it may not be as good as a date that does not clash with your ba zi and is only an average day in the tung shu. Either way, if you use method 1 then you do not check on method 2. If you use method 2, then you can ignore the method 1 as the additional personalisation has been considered. Gary Lim wrote: I chanced upon geomancy.net"30Day Free Auspicous Date for 2 Persons" of which after i entered my Birthdate and My Wife's Birthdate, It shows that 16th December is an inauspicous Date for me and Average for my Wife, while 18th December is auspicous for both of us...What does this mean?? Does it mean that the chinese calender is inaccurate? Your advice here isgreatly appreciated.. Our analysis will consider the key Tung Shu events, in addition to the ba zi of yourself and your wife. So it will find an optimium day that will fit both of you and be at least an average/good day under the tung shu. This date will be much more personalised that the normal calendar date. The date that the normal calendar forecast is general, you often still need to do your own additional elimination such as whether the day clashes with your horoscope sign or even a more detailed check if the day clashes with your ba zi (if you are able to calculate it yourself). Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Dear Master, December is the month we usually do some clearing in the house. We are planning to repaint our master-bedroom in the South after Christmas. Should we be concern of the 5 Yellows there this month? We are also thinking of taking away the tv cabinets and speakers away from the SE during the same period and place it in the North. Will this affect the Sui Po in SE and 7 in North? Thank you for your advise. brgds Vince Generally, as long as you have properly balanced the 20-year base flying star chart, then you usually do not have to worry too much about the monthly flying star changes. The impact will usually be minimum. It is usuallymore important to avoid disturbing the Grand Duke, which in 2007 is North-North-West, 330 Degree. So as long as you avoid having any major renovations in this sector or East sector of the house (which is the opposite of the location in conflict:West), then you are usually quite safe. In your case, you are basically clearing the old furnitures/items, and at most repainting so not really considered anything major. Only thing to take note is to avoid colours that may activate the bad stars. So since 5 star is present, anything that is too bright red/bright yellow should be avoided. Just choose an auspicious date to start your clearing and painting and it should be fine. You can make use of our free report:- URL: http://date.geomancy.net Hope that helps. What does this mean, and how can I introduce metal between us? What kind of metal? I think we really need it lol. Thank you so much for your help on this, and throughout this amazing website!! Simply, everything in feng shui can be related to five elements. For example, colours, shapes, career, people around you etc. Here is an reference chart you can refer to:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net So the most practical would be the colour and decor scheme within the room that both of you share. Having metal, means you can choose colour scheme (white/gold), circular shaped design/patterns etc. The more of these in common areas you share, you will be adding metal to help harmonise or reduce potential conflict between the two. Also, I would like to know if it would be a cause for concern if the masterbed room and another bedroom is rather near the corridor of the next block of flats. As I need to reply the owner soon, would appreciate a prompt reply. Generally, if you can directly see the cremetorium or temple from your house, then it will be direct major concern. Otherwise, if you cannot see it it should be ok. But on a practical point. Given that even though you cannot see the cremetorium or template yet already concerned, your future buyer may also have this concern. So of course the best advice is why risk it. Probably the best advise is if you can find another house that isn't close to temple/church/mosque nor near a cremetry/cremetorium. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi Master Cecil I have a one big rectangular mirror placed in my dining room. Under feng shui is it gd to place it? Generally, mirrors under feng shui can bounce double the good or bad luck depending on where it is placed. The more appropriate is to avoid:- 1. Placing mirror where it bounces the Qi out of the houses. For example if you open a door and immediately see a mirror, any good qi that is trying to enter into the house, may be bounced right out of the house. 2. Mirror must either be a single piece or 3 pieces. Never double, as when you view it is like you are being divided. Which can signify divorce. 3. Mirrors in bathrooms is or in your wardrobe are ok. The rest whether it is good or bad depends on where it is placed or how it is used. Anonymous wrote: as i heard mirror trapped spirit,is it true? Scientifically, this isn't possible even though there are movies on this. The thing about mirror is that there is this situation where people do not like wake up and see the mirrror, as they say that when you sleep, your spirit wakes and see itself in the mirror and get a shock. But on the other hand, some people want to see the mirror to comb yourself so that you look need before your spirit live. So this is more of a tolerance level. Also, under feng shui mirror can reflect or bounce Qi. So if place in a good qi it can double the good Qi, but if placed in a bad Qi can also bounce double the bad luck. For example, if you placed many many plants together as a group, then even if there is a bamboo, it looks more like a bunch of trees/plants rather than lone plant. If that is the case, then should be no issue. The problem we are worried about is not to have any lone sharp tree/lamppost that may cut into the house. It is thissha qi that you want to avoid. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Doris, Doris Lee wrote: Now, the buildingstarted tobuilt in Year 2001 and TOP was Year 2004 . Doris Lee wrote: Do this consider as Period 7 or Period 8? Normally, we will take the TOP as that is where the house is ready for people to stay in. So we consider the house a Period 8 house. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Under what circumstances can an element in the chart (Water in this demo case), when combined with another element, lose its own elemental status and change to another element (Earth in this demo case)? This one you will need to read up on detailed ba zi analysis. There are couple of combinations and clashes and under what situations they will combine permanently and when they combine just for that moment when they meet. This is often beyond a basic ba zi reading. So you have to do your own research on this, as I don't have time to list out all the different combination rules and situationsavailable. All the rules are already programmed into the ba zi analysis. So whatever you get on our report would already considered that. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Related to this topic, our house was built on period 7. (1989). We have experienced a string of bad luck in the past years since 98 from health problems to financial troubles to legal. Recently we asked a friend to take a look at the house and he says that the house was auspicious at the time it was built (luck from 'twin stars'), but that the stars 'died' in sometime 97-98. He also said that the stars were now like a black hole that was getting back all the luck that it had given out over the years (sort of like a black hole). He suggested a major renovation as a cure. Anonymous wrote: Your thoughts on these please? Period 7 is from 1984-2003. So given the year still is within Period 7 house luck, the luck will still primarily be a Period 7 house luck. On a year to year basis, luck will change slightly however, it won't change very significantly. Until 2004, where you enter into a new Period 8 luck period. Luck of the house will alter a little even if you do not have major renovation, simply because the star 7 will revert back to the robbery star. So the luck will be reduced a little. However, even that you do not have any major renovation, the house luck will still primarily be a period 7 house luck. Under such situation, the owners often have an option to fly to period 8 house luck if it is better. There is really no logic in saying the house stars die in 97-98 as it is still a period 7 house luck until 2003. So even if you had a major renovation, it will still be a period 7 house luck. So how does it help your issue? Often, there are other issues to consider. Yes, yearly luck changes may change from time to time, but that alone does not create that major a problem if the house is properly balanced. The major issue canaffect the house luck is unless there is a new building that was built in your area, that can change your surrounding luck as it changes the Qi flow in the area. A person's luck is generally affected by 3 forms of luck:- 1. Heaven Luck - luck that your a born with or supposed to be given. 2. Earth Luck - luck from your home and surrounding environment. 3. Human Luck - luck from your relationship with others and your own hard work. Often, any bad issues is likely to come from two areas. Your ba zi luck in a very low luck period. This plus some Earth Luck influence together often can create a major issue especially if the Earth Luck isn't properly balanced. Anonymous wrote: Also, what constitutes a "major renovation". A major renovation for example is hacking a wall to change the layout structure. Or changing all the floor tiles etc. Others like painting/repair worksare considered minor. Hope that helps. Dear Maxx Ha, maxx ha wrote: Thanx for your explaination. Some website mention by putting some mascot such as FU dogs can block the negative/bad energy from the west. Is it true? Such FU dogsare intended to guard the house against sha qi from an extenal source. So yes, they do help block against such sha qi. Such as corners from another building opposite your home. However, your issue is the house does not suit you. So having this FU dogs won't help improve the suitability. There is nothing you can do to correct a house that is not suitable except to change to a house that has a facing that suits you. That is why I said that the long term solution is to move to a more suitable house in the future. You can only minimise the impact by fixing other leaks that you can correct, but the house won't suit you so you it is like you can only obtain say about 25%-50% depending on whether the facing direction is Death/Disaster (worst) or Spook/Irritation (least impact). maxx ha wrote: Can I stay/face in the east area of the house to gain luck? I believe I had answered that in my previous reply. For an East Goup person, and if you are looking for houses built 2004-2023 (Period 8), South and East are generally better. South is most preferred, as East facing you will have the Morning sun influence as well as the flying star luck is not as good as a South facing house. Hope that helps. Dear Dino Mateo, Dino Mateo wrote: Hello sir! My relative read form a Feng shui book that bamboo is bad in front of the house. Im asking because we have a glass etched with bamboo in front of our house. Is it bad? Generally, bamboo are thin and long and it also grows very fast. So few things can happen. Because thin and long it can also act like a sharp lamppost which can cut into the house. If too many and too much it forms like a mountain (which isn't good for the frontage which should be clear). Also, too many and not well taken care off, it can get very dirty and messy. So it is not the most ideal plant to have. So that is the general problem. But if since yours is the glass etched with bamboo drawing, this would be different. And should be ok. Dino Mateo wrote: Also, we have 4 big black pillars in front of the same house. Is it also bad? As for the pillars. As long as it does not cuts into the living room and main door, it should be ok. What you do not want it long poles that cuts into the house which will create sha qi. Dino Mateo wrote: Another thing. our house number is 112. The total of this is 4. Is it bad? What should I do if they are bad? Thank you very much!! As for numbers, there are really many many different ways to look at an auspicious number. I mean the good thing is that the base number does not have 4 which would sound like die (cantonese). So for most chinese, they won't like to buy houses with the number 4. As for the total adding up the 4. Under our lucky Kua/Gua number point of view. If you belong to Kua 4, then it is deemed an auspicious number for you. If not, then it isn't. So there are really many ways to look at it. So I won't worry too much about it. The location of your house and house layout is often the more important aspect to consider. House number is secondary. Often it may affect future re-sale value if the number contains like 4 etc. Otherwise, it has minimum impact. Hope that helps. Dear Mic Mic, Mic Mic wrote: Hi, i stay in a corner unit in HDB. Main door face the public corridor, staying in 9th floor. As living room and dining room have windows facing out to play area, gathering area, road, other blocks etc, whereas in door facing direction, the block is not consider the facing (e.g. it is the width of rectangular block, no open windows etc). Where do i take the exact compass reading from? stand from center of unit, facing the living room window (facing direction of unit) or face the door? Or stand outside the whole blk, back in the middle of the block, facing the face direction of block? thanks! We have this general rule for house facing direction:- 1. Apartments (2nd - 7th level), we take the main door facing direction. ie stand inside your house looking out from your main door. 2. Apartments (8th level and up), we take the living room/balcony facing direction. ie stand inside your house looking out from your living room/balcony. So in your case, you take the 2 option which is take the house direction from where your baloncy or where most light enters into the house through the living room area. Hope that helps.
