Dear Christie, Christie Tiew wrote: hi there, just wonder how to really know what element that i'm really are? Just use the free ba zi report on our website:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Christie Tiew wrote: born in year 26/5/1977 is a "fire snake" in horoscope.....then Birth element is "strong water" , my quetion is, why fire then strong water? what element that should i use to make life more better? You see every year is defined by a horoscope sign, so there are 12 unique horoscope signs. There are also 5 five elements that can be assigned to each sign depending on which year within a 60-year cycle it falls in. So there is where you get the definition of being born in the year of a fire snake. But you must remember, within a year there are 365 days, so can everyone born in the year of the fire snake all be fire snake? This is not accurate form of your element. In fact, depending on which day you are born, you can be a weak water/strong water/weak woood/strongwoodperson born in a fire snake year. Therefore, the Strong water is the more accurate breakdown of the element you are born with based on the day of birth rather than the year of birth. That is why the Strong water is determined to be your true personal birth element and thus you should be improving what you lack based on that element. Hope that helps. Dear Christie, Christie Tiew wrote: i read the info in this web, that indicated snake cant be a good couple, is there any way to save the relationship? pls give some advise . thank you. Generally, horoscope compatibility is only one form of compatibilty check. It does simply comparison between one horoscope signs vs 11 other different signs to come up with how compatible or uncompatible the signs will be rated. Besides that check, you can make use of the free comparison report in the Member Area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net You see, even for Snake horoscope signs, there may be a weak water snake, strong water snake etc. A weak water snake vs weak wood snake would be a rather compatible element signs, compared to a weak water snake vs a weak fire snake. So it does not mean that all horoscope that are incompatibleh equal bad. Furthermore, in feng shui a person is affected by 3 types of luck:- 1. Heaven Luck - is what you are born with and how you relate yourself to things around you. 2. Earth Luck - is your home and surrounding environment. 3. Human Luck - is your relationship luck and your own hard work. When it comes to relationship, for any relationship to last, your human luck factor (ie how much you spend time with each other, understand each other, and tolerate each other flaw that makes a difference in a relationship). So it does not mean that an analysis telling you that it is bad will be a certain to breakup. Often most compatiblity just tell you how good or bad it is. There will still be some ways to attempt to improve. Take a weak water and weak wood snake for example. Water element becomes the binding element that helps smoothen the relatioship. That with enough human luck effort can still make a relationship work. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I planned to buy a house. Reading a feng shui article, my favorable fengshui direction is NE. Is it the directionmy house facing on ormy housesitting on?Please your advise, thanks. A lot of terms used by other practitioner can be confusing especially when you come to facingsitting. This is because you have to also make sure that you are using the right orientation of the compass. Most will use the Chinese compass, which is South-North orientation which can add another level of confusion if you are not careful. However, our website standardize all the flying star/eight house chart based on a normal western compass. This means that if the chart says North will match your compass North. So this means that if North is good for you, your house should be facing North. This means that from inside your house looking outwards, it should be pointing North. So if you use the reports on oour website, when we say main door or frontage face North, just make sure that from inside your house looking outwards, it must be North direction when you check it with your compass. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In choosing chinese name, do we use the traditional strokes or simplified version? Can anyone tell me if there's any book or directory with list of chinese characters and the number of strokes? In the chinese name analysis, we use the traditional name stroke rather than the simplified name stroke. So if the character you are using is simplified, you need to first check if there is a traditional form. Then use the traditional form. The reference of name stroke is available as a reference in some of the chinese name books.Different chinese name books will give you different reference chart. Alternative, if you have a Kang Xi Traditional dictionary, that character stroke defined in the Kang Xi Traditional Dictionary is what most authors use as the right character brush stroke. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Please can you advise me on where to install my water feature. The best place to place a water feature that is auspicious for Feng Shui is to find where your water wealth location is within your house. For example, a Period 8 house, the current wealth is star 8, future wealth is star 9 and future future wealath is star 1. For period 7 house, the current wealth is star 7, future wealth is star 8, future future wealth is star 9. etc. So sectors where these 3 star is located are he better sectors within the house to place the water feature so as to activate the water wealth luck. Anonymous wrote: I live in a traditionl semi-detached which was built in the 1930's Anonymous wrote: My main door is white facing SW 242 degrees. Given the houe is built so long ago, the chances of major renovations works done to affect the house luck is very likely. Also, the longer the time pass, the luck will also slowly fly over to the new period. So the chances of the house luck retaining the 1930 period is very unlikely. It is more likely moved over to a closer period period 6/7/8 if there are major renovations works done. So you have to first determine what works was done. Even if no works were done, it is also better you fly the house luck over to period 8 the current luck so that it is much easier for you to maximise the current period 8 house qi to your existing house. So you need to determine this first. Then you can locate your wealth star properly. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

You should first fix up the 20-year flying star chart for each of the sector, as that will determine the overall good or bad influence for each sector. The yearly stars is more for you to fine tune. Usually, if you fix up the 20-year sector properly, the only thing you need to be careful is just the star 2 and star 5 that may enter into certain sector for the year. As long as the existing sector does not have further star 2/5, then there is really nothing much you need to worry about. Dear Constance, constance king wrote: hi, on my luck pillar analysis/summary, as weak water (east), i should stay in a house facing direction for metal to further improve my luck...and avoid nw & ne as house facing direction as it will further reduce my luck. but nw, ne west and sw are the 4 good directions for metal. also, if i use house facing direction for metal, does it mean i should use all 4 good directions (west)for metal instead? thanks In general, there are two concepts when it comes to house suitability:- 1. Eight House (4 good or 4 bad directions). This tells you how you suitable a room or house. Even though, this is based on the year of birth, the it is still a very important concept. Where you should try to avoid having a house that falls under the Death or Disaster sector for the breadwinner. 2. Eight House direction. This we often use more a macro level if possible. Say East is good for you, so staying say in East/South-East of singapore is one way of adding wood to your luck. Anyway, between the two concept, it is still important to avoid having a house that is death or disaster. As your eight house cannot be corrected, but your ba zi can. So your ba zi can still be improved by choosing the right colour scheme for your home, or having the right career element or even people around you. So this becomes a secondary consideration when it comes to the best house direction. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

As if the flying star sector on the West sector of the house have the current auspicious water star, then it is ideal to have it there. As each house depending on the facing and the layout, have different sectors that is considered the auspicous water wealth sector. Generally, you should first activate the direct water star first:- This means that for a period 8 house, you activate the direct water star 8 or direct mountain star 8, first. Only when you cannot activate them, then you consider the next future water/moutain wealth star 9. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I'm confuse on how to identify the mountain star and water star? And what does each number means or represent? Take this one sector for example:- 2 9 Year 3 Month 2 5 The number 2 on the top left is the Mountain Star, the number 5 on the top right is the water star. The big number 9 is the base sector. Anonymous wrote: And what does each number means or represent? To fully understand that each number means you really need probably read up on flying star book/course. Generally, the bad stars ie star 2 (illness star), star 5 (misfortune star), star 3 (lawsuit star), star 4 (romance star), star 7 (robbery star) are what you are concerned with. Each number is associated to an element which allows one to interpret what is needed to cure or balance it. ie star 2 / 5 (earth stars) so to cure use Metal cures etc. How each number is related to when you assess the sector as a whole will give you all the interpretation of that sector. ie star 7 found in the sector may mean there is potential wealth loss due to the robbery star etc. As mentioned, to understand all these you really need to learn the flying star concept. Anonymous wrote: Why there's an annual star and flying star chart every other month? Just like your ba zi, you have 10-yearly, 5-yearly, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily, hourly luck. The flying star, also changes each year, each month etc. So it tells you what yearly star or monthly star comes into play each month. As mentioned, it affects how the sector luck change for that year or month. Usually, what most people are concerned is fixing the general overall luck of that sector, the yearly luck is concerned each year just to further balance the sector for the year. The monthly or daily will be less used as no one will have time to keep making changes to the house each month or day. So if say a robbery star 7 comes into the sector this year, there may be potential wealth loss for that year in that sector. Basically, that is what the yearly and monthly stars are for. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In eight mansion, is it the facing direction of the main door or location sector of main door that is important? My original main door is located at SE sector which is good for kua 4 and facing E direction. I was asked to relocate to the other side which is NE sector(bad for me) but the door still faces E.The reason for relocation is because in flying star the orignaldoor is at W2M5. Firstly, you need to understand that both the eight house and flying star each has a purpose in the analysis:- 1. Flying Star assess the house to find out the luck of each part of the house. Similiar to where the ba zi assess the person's luck, the flying star is for assessing the house's luck. So it helps determine where are the problem stars and wealth stars for the owner to take advantage of. 2. Eight House gives you an understanding of whether a house is suitable to you or not.A house can have excellent flying star, but if it does not suit you, then you will not be able to benefit from the house. It also helps you determine which bedroom is the best room you can use that will bring you luck etc. So both concepts are equally important. Your existing location seems suitable to you, just that the flying star luck there is not so good. So just correct and neutralise the bad stars and you should be ok. If you change to a good direction as suggested, but of the NE is your Death or Disaster sector, then you will actually bring more harm than good. If NE is your spook/irritation, then not so bad, but still probably won't be as good as a house that is suitable to you. In addition, both Eight House and Flying Stars are used under the 阳宅三要 or Yang Zhai San Yao: The three major considerations in a home: Main Door or Frontage, the Kitchen & Bedroom. Hope that helps. Dear Peter, Peter Chin wrote: My best direction is North West but a toilet is located in this corner of my house. Can you please advise what is the best method or cure for this? When you say that your best direction is North-West, do you mean:- 1)North-West isone of your 4 good direction (Excellent, Prosperity, Health, Longevity? If so, then nothing much you can do, as this only determines whether you are suitable to that sector or not. So if suitable for you to use, then it is good if your bedroom or office room is located in this sector. 2) If you mean North-West is where your wealth stars under the flying star (ie Star 8 for period 8 house), then this means that the sector will be drowned by the toilet. A toilet is best for sectors containing the bad stars such as star 2/5. So that it helps to down the bad stars. If a good star is located, there it is not a suitable house. Often, you can only maybe put a Hu Lu (bottle gourd) to symbolically suck the wealth from leaking out. Also, keeping the toilet seat cover covered when not in use. These will help to minimise the wealth lost. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
