  1. Dear Vicky, Vicky Loh wrote: Does a "bad" house affect the luck of the owner even when he's not staying in it? A person's luck is most affected first by the house he/she is staying in. The house that you bought but do not stay in will have a much smaller impact on your overall luck. Vicky Loh wrote: I got to know that the previous 2 owners of the house are not doing so well in business and the current tenant is also facing the same situation. And she recently "lost" her son too. She moved away after that. This does give the indication of a bad feng shui house especially if two previous owners both encounter problem. Probably, you should also consider to sell it off and look for another if possible. Vicky Loh wrote: Now I am worried about moving into the house. We too felt that things are not going so smooth after purchasing the house even we have not moved in. As long as you are not staying in the house as of yet, it should have less influence on your family luck. The bulk of luck will still come from your existing house luck. It will be worst if you actually move into your new home. But since you haven't,it is probably the wiserto sell it off as soon as possible. This, I believe will provide the chi / activate the water star 8. However, I am also concern about the mountain star 8 falling into water. Should I activate it and how? There is a garden between my living hall and the lake. Thanks a lot Since this sector falls in your living room, then you only need to activate the water star. If it falls in your bedroom, then you activate the mountain star. Please note that water star can only be activated in clear space. And Mountain star can only be activated where there is a mountain or a room.Often, you can only activate one as the requirement for activation does not allow activating both. So in this case, you activate the one that is appropriate which is the water star. You do not activate the mountain star here as it cannot be activated. You can however, activate your future mountain star 9if it is in the appropriate bedroom or moutain area. This will replace the need to activate the star 8 which you can't since a water star is being activated. Hope that helps. Actually, for abusinessmanchart we look at:- 1) Wealth (total Earned and Unexpected wealth, of which Earned wealth is more important) Must have total of 4-5, with at least 3 on Earned wealth. ie 3 earned wealth / 2 unepected or 4 earned wealth / 1 unexpected (still can) 2) Determination - at least 2-3 3) Authority - at least 2-3 4) Competitior - at least 2-3 At least 3 of the 4 must at least have 3. Meaning that if Earned wealth 4 / Unexpected wealth 1, Determination 3, Authority 3, Competitor 2 (This requirement just barely qualify for businessman chart). That is why not many charts I have done really have this qualtify. Only a very small handful. Cahaya Harapan wrote: If my deities Un.Wealth 2, Competitor 6, dan determination 3. Is it enough ? High score for competitor doesn't mean bad ? Many competitor for bussiness is not good, I think. What is the value of your Earned Wealth and Authority? Earned Wealth must be at least 3 and Authority also must be 3/2. Competitior found in your own ba zi chart, tends to refect competitiveness. So having more is ok. But 6 of the competitor will mean that you haveless of other deities. So this means that you may not likely qualify for a businessman chart. Where wealth is one of the main factor as well. 5. Dear Soon Kok, goh soon kok wrote: 1) My last job is IT related, should i change the nature of my job? As a Strong Earth, this normally means that Metal,Wood and Water (your wealth) are generally your favourable elements. I am not sure what is the exact percentage of the elements based on your ba zi. But the best element you should go for is based on which of the 3 elements (Metal/Water/Wood), you have least percentage. That will mean that that element is the most useful element for you. For example, Metal 30%, Water 10%, Wood 15%. If this is your percentage, then Water element is most favourable for you, followed by Wood, then Metal element. Then even though Metal element is one of your favourable element, you benefit more from Water element rather than Metal element. However, where you are not aware of your ba zi element percentage, then I would have to say that Metal or Wood and Water elements are generally your favourable element. As a Strong Earth, Metal helps to keep exhaust the excess Earth, while Wood destroy Earth. Water will help to control your Fire that produces Earth. So based on the above, you can choose to go into Metal/Wood/Water element careers. You can refer to this link for more information about five element and career:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net IT related falls generally Metal/Water element. But also depends on what you do exactly. For example, if you are dealing more in programming than it is more Water. If you deal in hardware it could be metal. If you deal in marketing IT service, it can be more fire element. So what you do at the IT is important to assess what is the exact element to classify your IT related career. goh soon kok wrote: 2) I have read your forecast for 2007, next year strong earth has to be careful of wealth or health? Pls advise. 2007 is Fire year influence. So as a Strong Earth, it makes you too strong. But at least Ram and Pig tends to have some good relationship so it won't be too bad. However, as the fire element makes you strong. That is where you may not benefit as much as weak Ram. The problems that may arise could be loss of wealth and quarrels/conficts with family/friends. So there two areas you need to be extra careful. You will need even more Metal/Wood/Water elements influence in 2007. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

The other thing you can do is attempt to improve your own personal ba zi luck so that your overall luck will be boosted. This way, it may help you get a buyer that is interested in your home. Otherwise, theses non-feng shui factors are always at the center of attention when it comes to selling a house:- 1) Location of the house (whether there is easy transportetc) 2)Price of the house 3)The advertisment and skill of theproperty agent 4)Making sure the house look clean and tidy (sometimes even a fresh coat of paint can help give it that new look) Otherwise, nothing much fromfeng shui can help. By doing this, I understand that the apartment will fly from period 7 to 8. The problem is, the unit number is good for period 7 but bad for period 8. Period 7 : Prosperity, good wealth. Period 8 : Vomiting. Is it possible to prevent from flying to period 8? Please advise. Thanks. Regards. Usually, once you have any major renovation, it will usually automatically fly over to the new luck period. So, in your case, it may be difficult to retain the existing period. In fact, in such cases where you plan to have major renovations, you should be looking for a house that has good period 8 house luck rather than a house that has good period 7 house luck. Furthermore, once a house is old, there will definately be future repair work which needs to be done. Which makes it even harder to retain the existing luck. So it is better to look for a period 8 house, if you plan to have major renovation. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  9. Dear Blue, blue mistz wrote: What is signified by a clash? Quarrels? Difficulties? There are 4 different levels of conflict and ranked in different level lf severity:- 1) Clash being the worst tends to be a conflict/quarrels between two. Just like say water and fire cannot co-exist. 2) Harm is next where there is some minor quarrels or issues that both may not see eye to eye or some obstacles that will get in the way. 3) Punishment is where there is things just won't go smoothly. 4) Self-punishment is like things very minor hiccups that will occur such that you cannot get a perfect result no matter how hard you try. So clash betwen the day pillar means your elements are in conflict. Just like when fire meets water, fire is exhausted by water. But this clash even though not good, can still harmonised by having element that smoothen the relationship. For example having wood can help act as a bridge. Resulting in less friction. You have to weight every aspect to determine how compatible a couple is. It does not mean that just because there is a clash both couples will confirm quarrels. How bad or whether there other other many minor clashes can further determine can make this clash better or worst off. So normally, you have look at it from all aspect. blue mistz wrote: Can two people with not so compatible chart get along? I am dog, while he is goat. Is there still ways to improve the harmony? I have remove it and place it at my kitchen near my washing machine now. They are all housed in small jars with no pump and running water and thus the aquarium is a still water condition. Would they affect my house feng shui? Thank you. If you like it, there is no harm keeping fishes as pets. The only issue, is that such water feature especially large aquarium should not be keep in the bedroom. The reason is rather logical also, you see water in the fish tank tends to give off certain fishy/chlorine smell which may affect the quality of the air in the bedroom. Just like if you put plants in the bedroom, it also fights for oxygen at night. That is why big fish tank/water feature should not be placed in the bedroom. Onesmall bowl type fish bowl type, should not be a major issue as it is unlikely to affect thewhole room. But too many will not be a good idea best tobe placedin other areasthat is notused as bedroom. Generally, small indivial bowls of water typeprobably not big enoughto be considered amajor water feature. So not likely to affect your feng shui. However, if you are concerned, try to placed the individual bowls at section of the housethat will benefit from a water feature such as where there is the auspicious water star 8 if in period 8 house. 14. Dear Ann, Ann Loo wrote: Would like your advice on whether to base the kua number on birth gender + Identity card gender or to base on the prefered gender as the person thinks, behaves and has undergone partial surgery to the prefered gender? Please help as the kua numbers are total opposite for the 2 genders of the same date of birth. Thank you To be frankly, such question can be controversial depending on how you look at it. Personally, for megiven that all the feng shui concepts such as ba zi/eight house is to chart like your luck and suitability. The information is based assessed based on the gender, date and time of birth from when you are born. So I would have to say that it should be the original gender that a person is born with. But on the other hand, after a gender change, you will also be able to experience something that your previous gender is not able to experience. So that will have some impact on your overall luck. However, from feng shui assessment, since concept like ba zi is all about the heavenly given luck. So it is about the luck that is given to you when you are born. So I have to say thatshould such situation arise, it is still best to take thegender you are born with as you primary luck but with the open mind that your luck may still be different in some ways. 15. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I did the pillars comparisons report for my boyfriend and I. I do not really understand what it means. What does it mean by : 'Heaven Stem Clash between day pillar (xin) & day pillar (yi).' I am a strong metal and he is a weak wood. Your insights are greatly appreciated. It simply means that the two ba zi chart's pillar clashes. In this case, the two heavenly stem of the day clashes with each other. Under the comparison rule, day to day or year to year clash often signify more a more major form of clash. At least when you compare that to say a hour to year or month to month clash. You see the day pillar influence the element of the day. While the year pillar influence your horoscope sign. So often when the day pillar clash, it means that the two elements are likely to conflict with each other such as water and fire elements.Horoscope signs can also clash with each other such as the Snake and Pig. In your case, metal destroy wood. So the element conflict with each other. Furthermore, you are a Strong Metal amd he is a weak wood. So the clash is even more obvious as you make him even weaker. If at least you are a weak Metal, and he is a Strong Wood, the clash is actually not as bad because the weak Metal helps to keep the strong wood in check. So based on this factor, it shows a not so compatible chart. However, as long as the horoscope signs do not clash as well, then there are still ways to improve the harmony. Such as having more Water element as a common binding element to improve the harmony between the two. As water will exhaust the excess metal and make weak wood stronger. Hope that helps. 16. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: May I know if the Bazi concept can be applied to a company? I mean can we tabulate the company's own Bazi chart based on its incorporation date? If yes, how should we treat its gender? Not likely. This is because ba zi is supposed to chart a person's given luck at the time of birth. However, a company's luck is influenced more on the business model and economics of demand and supply. So the ba zi chart which is supposed to predict the type of luck given is not likely to be suitable to be applied to business. In fact, feng shui has only a small overall role in overall business. And most of the time is the EarthLuckfactor. Such as the location of theshop / office, or the layout of the shop / office. The rest of the success depends on the business itself. So I would have to say thatusing the ba zito calculateacompany's luck is not likely to work. Hope that helps. I would appreciate it if an expert could clear my doubts and I am open for suggestions and comments. Thank you very, very much Yours truly, Yvonne Frankly, tattoos have always been assocated with negative or bad stuff (such as gangs etc). Of course, recently tattoo have been more of an art. However, the negative aspects often seems more apparent thanpositive aspects. When we talk about feng shui, we often want to have positive or good luck on your side. So it would of course seems like it would not be a wise thing to have. Even when it comes to a person's facial features, there is an art of face reading/palmistry etc which determines a person luck. So I would have to say that if there are changes to your body, it is more likely to affect your overall luck in some way. As mentioned, since tattoo has negative aspects, so it is more likely that it will bring about adverse impact from my opinion. So really, even though there isn't anything about feng shui and tattoo. It would seem more like it a tattoo will more likely bring about bad influence rather than good influence. So not likely to see what good luck it will bring. Anon wrote: And is there a particular position (if possible) the dragon should be in order for it to be good feng shui? Frankly, under feng shui, the dragon is considered one of the fierce creatures available. So normally, it is unwise to keep or have pictures/figurines of dragons. Especially, if they are very fierce looking type.Usually, most pictures or representations of dragons are used to ward off any sha qi if any. Even in the past, theChinese Emperor is the only person allowed to wear clothings with dragon pattern. Showing how Dragon is usually represents a person with lots of power and authority. Now a days, dragon figurings are readily available due to art work or even when it comes to the year of the dragon. So really, not a that of a big issue but still need to be care about those fierce looking ones. From Feng Shui point of view,a dragon is very strong or very yang related. So unless a person ba zi is strong enough to handle dragon, may not be wise to have it. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Sorry, but I do not believe feng shui can be of much help here simply because of the mechanics of how mergers works. I mean the people that get laid off from mergers, tends to be the company that is being bought over. Especially if you are on the company that is being bought over, the chances of being able to retain your position is less unless you possess very important skills or possess an indisposable asset to the company buying you. Feng Shui can only do so much as to bring as much luck to business. The rest of the success depends a lot on the business model. If the business model is flawed or doomed to failure, no amount of feng shui can revive it. So that is why you there are nothing about feng shui about merger and layoffs.
