Dear Anon, For career etc, you can refer to this reference chart to give you some idea of the types of career:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/talknotes/talknotes.htm Anyway, here are the classifications:- 1. Interior Design = Arts (Water) 2. Media & Communications = Communications (Water) 3. Biotechnology = Mix of Wood (Techonlogy) and Fire (Chemical Processing) 4. Business Studies - Marketing/Sales (Fire) 5. Business Information Technology - Mix of Fire (Marking/Sales) and Technology (Wood) Anonymous wrote: Is it alright to drill hole on wall during the lunar 7th month? Generally, should be no problem. Drilling a hole is not a major renovations. However, if you are worried, best to do it after the True 7th month. Hope that helps. Dear Marisol Colon, Marisol Colon wrote: I am a bit confused. I was wondering for instance my husband's Death area (Metal) is West so what do I do here, do I just leave this area alone or do I use another element other than Metal to sort of protect him? I also know that balancing the elements is important. Correct me if I am wrong but to enhance his Propserity area which is South (Fire) I am just going to add a fire element to this area. The Eight House which gives you the 4 good and 4 bad directions are meant to assess suitability for the room or the best directions. So if Death (West) sector) is inauspicious, then it is best that the house does not face West or the bedroom which he spends most of the time in does not fall under the west sector. This means that if it is unsuitable, just spend less time in this room for any important event (ie working/sleeping etc). As this is about suitability, you can't just correct or enhance it. Just do not use it or make sure you are facing your good direction for any important work/sleep position etc. What you canenhance is based on your ba zi:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm ie. if you are a weak water for example, than metal/water will tend to make you stronger and thus considered your favourable element. Then you can use this the reference information in this link to boost up the various areas related to water (ie North facing, colours like blue/black/gray, career such as arts etc). URL: http://talk.geomancy.net So where your suitability issues cannot be corrected or enhance, then you should focus to enhance your ba zi. Make it better by choosing the right house facing, the right career, the right colours for your clothes/car/room decor etc. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: under 8 pie wedge it produces only 8 cells missing centre palace. Yes, 8 pie divides the sector into 8 sectors. That is why you need to add a circle in the center which provides for the center sector. That is why Cecil mentioned the apricot. The core in the center will cover for the missing center center influence that the 8 pie missed. This is actually the method most professional use when assessing feng shui. As it divides the sector equally into each sphere of influence. But it may be harder for some to apply because some area which is divided in between may be harder for most people to decide which sector influence is greater. Dear Tan Poh Lee, Quote: However, i have studied and found that my self element is yin water. My favorable elements is Fire, metal and earth. I mean yin water does not really tell you whether or not a person is weak or strong. Therefore, you won't know what are your favourable elements. Based on our reports, you are a weak yin water. A weak water person will generally mean that metal and water elements are generally lacking in your chart, therefore, metal and water are favourable for you. A strong water person will generally mean that you have too much water and metal and thus making you strong. So the elements that help to exhaust your elements are good for you ie wood, fire, earth. In feng shui where you only know the weak or strong characteristics, you use the above definition to correct the elements you lack. However, you can always further fine tune the analysis when you know the exact percentage of the elements you have in your chart. This is available to the paid reports only. But it will give you a percentage breakdown of your element so that you can fine tune your elements. For example if you are a weak water, but if you have 0% metal and 10% water, this means you lack more metal than water. So Metal will be the most favourable element you lack in your chart, than compared to Water. If your percentage is such as 10% metal and 0% water, then you lack more water than metal. So we based on that to fine tune which elements you need more. Quote: 1)should u focus on career element which is of your self element ? When you look at career. Everyone will have their own career with wealth, career with power and authority, and suitable career. Again, the full paid report will show you this information. But in general, usually only strong element person will benefit from having career with wealth or power/authority. Weak character person will benefit more from having elements that make you strong. So often careers belonging to water/metal elements are generally suitable for you. For weak person, it is not that you cannot benefit from career with wealth but you need to strengthen your weak water before you can benefit from it. So often, most will find that having careers that are metal/water will be better than having a career that is of your wealth element. As for your conclusion, to be frank, I have no idea what or how you have analysed the chart. But anyway, our analysis has always been as what I have provided above. Hope that helps. About time zones!
Robert Lee posted a topic in Ba Zi Feng Shui / 4 Pillars of Destiny / Life Reading
Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: If I was born in Melbourne, Australia at 10am (in December), do I need to change the time to Singapore/China time when I am calculating my BaZhi? Anonymous wrote: There is also daylight saving in Melbourne to take into account. December is summer here which is 3 hours behind Singapore. In that case must I convert 10am to 7am when I am calculating the four pillars? It is best you use your default local time. Do not make any conversions using the GMT standard. The reaons why this is so, is because:- 1. GMT timezones are very much simplified now-a-days, so frankly using GMT to subtract the timezone does not really give you the true location factor. It only influence one factor of the long. and lat. of birth. 2. Location Factor - In fact, if you really want to apply the location factor, one must logically use the actual long. and lat. of your birth place. However, even this is very flawed or will result in less accurate analysis if the information is 1 degree off. I mean realistically, how many people actually record the exact long. and lat. of when you are born? Even if you know the hospital that you are born, that does not really tell you the exact location within the hospital room that you are born. So the accuracy of such information will directly impact whether your ba zi analysis will be accurate or not. 1 degree off either the long. or lat. will give you an entirely different analysis. 3. The Ba Zi was designed in such a way that even if you do not have the hour of birth, the analysis can still be fairly accurate. This is because the luck forecast is determined by the Month pillar and Year pillar. So the hour really have little impact on that except to be able to better determine if you are a weak or strong character, and the exact balance of element percentage for you to fine tune your luck. So because of these key reasons, we do not encourage anyone to apply any GMT timezone differences, but just use the local timezone for generating reports on our website. Hope that helps. What can I do and can I just choose any date to move in?Of course, if you canit is better to move-inafter the 7th month. There are two Chinese 7th month this year due to the intercalary month. True Chinese 7th month: 25 Jul - 23 Aug False Chinese 7th month: 24 Aug - 21 Sep Try to avoid moving in during the 1st Chinese 7th month if possible. Since you mentioned you are coming in at the end of Aug, this would mean you can still choose dates on the second 7th month. This will at least be better. For renovation, best to start it before the 7th month starts. Renovation if already started before 7th month is ok to allow it to continue in during the 7th month. Make sure that you select an auspicious date for move-in. Dear See, Anonymous wrote: Recently, I have move into my new home and realised my neighbour oppositemy house has a pa kua mirror hanging above his main doorfacing my main entrance door. When ever I open the door i would always see the Pakua. Is this good for my family? My Main door is facing North East. Anything I could do to soften this impact. Unfortunately, a pa kua facing your house is inauspicious for you as it will create a sha qi to your home. 1. If possible, maybe have a talk with your neighbour to see if he can remove it and use other means to protect the home. ie. a round circular mirror to reflect any sha qi rather than pakua. At least a round mirror reflects the sha qi but does not create any further sha qi. A pakua will do both relect and create sha qi out. Or if there build a barrier of plants to block against any external threats. 2. Else, if not then the only way to block the pakua is to use a pakua to reflect it back. But probably nothing much you can do if your neighbour persist to use a pakua. But this will create a pakua war which doesn't create a condusive / harmonious environment for both parties involved. The best if you can find a peacefulway avoid having a pakua war. Which does not benefit either owner in the long run. Hope that helps. Any houses built or had a major renovation (hacking of walls/major re-tiling of entire floor etc) after 2004, you should consider is a period 8 house. For houses built before 2004, then you have an option to keep it's existing luck period, or change it over to the new luck period by having major renovations or doing symbolic renovations and having several celebration events to fly it over to the new luck period. This has been answered many times if you had just searched the forum. The forum contain severalthousands offrequently asked topics. So most questions people asked are often answered. This is a very common and quite easy to solve by applying the give and take approach. 1) The house should most importantly be suitable to the breadwinner of the family since he/she earn most to support the family. So the breadwinner must get the best facing so as to get the most luck. 2) Since the breadwinner has luck for the house, therefore he/she can take a less suitable bedroom and make sure the spouse is can draw luck from the room. Since the two person are opposite, therefore, the house direction is likely not to suit the spouse, so letting the spouse take a more suitable bedroom will compensate her luck. 3) Since the spouse now get a good suitable bedroom, you can then give a better sleeping position for the breadwinner. 4) Although both charts are opposite, if possible try to avoid having the either person have the facing or bedroom fall under the death or disaster sector Hope that helps. Anonymous wrote: Also, is it bad to have our bed up against a window? We do have a solid headboard, but I wasn't sure if this was bad. Our bed is also directly across from the bathroom door, where the door swings open onto the bed? Is this bad? How can we set up the bedroom to be good for the both of us? Generally, you want to make sure the bed is anchored to a solid wall without any windows. So yes, the current bed position where you have it up against a window isn't the most ideal position. As for the bed directly across the bathroom door, this is quite common as most bedroom are quite small now-a-days, so often irregardless of how you place the bed, the bathroom door will still open up onto the bed. However, if it opens at the side of the bed, it will be better than opening directly in the front of the bed. Anyway, just keeping the door close, should be a good fit if you are not able to position it any otherway. It is hard to advice you on the best placement unless you provide a quick sketch of your bedroom. But the general guideline should be:- 1. The shapes and form placement of the bed where you should be able to see the bedroom door when you sleep or lie on the bed. 2. The bed should not be placed where when you open the door you see the bed directly in front of you. Else it is like you are sleeping in a coffin position. 3. The bed should be anchored to a solid wall (ie no window behind it) These are usually the key rules. The rest really depends on the how the bedroom is laid out. Hope that helps. Dear Vicky, vicky conjamalay wrote: Hello Sir, i'm not being able to make the difference between the individual element and the guardian element of a person. Could you please clarify me on this? Actually, tomake iteasy to understand justfollow this:- Individual Elementis basically the type of element youare classified under. ie if you are a weak water, therefore your individual/personal element is weak water. Guardian Element (usually yong-shen/useful/helpful/favourable element) usually means the element that is will bring you luck or help you. So if you are a weak waer, therefore metal or water element are generally your favourable element. The element you lack more of will usualy be the most favourable element and therefore considered the element that you need most. For eample if you are a weak water, but you have 0% metal and 15% water. So your Metal element is the element you need more of. So this becomes your most useful element. So often the element you need most is classified as the most important/useful/favourable element for you. Basically, don't get confused with the many terms used by different masters/website. In general, guardian element simply means the most favourable element that will help you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

We tried to make sure it's always clean so we can show it anytime. I am becoming desperate. Please let me know what we should do to sell my house soon hoping not to reach the anniversary month (August).Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Feng Shui is not a miracle cure to all sorts of problems. There is very little that feng shui can help in speeding up the sale of a house except for:- i) Improving your personal luck, this may help to boost your luck so that more potential buyers come to view the house. ie know what is your personal element/colour, wearing more of your favourable colour or having more element in as many area of your life will help to boost your luck:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm URL: http://talk.geomancy.net ii) If the house really have good feng shui, then you can use that to help promote. But even on this aspect, if the house really have bad feng shui features it can make it even harder for you to sell it. Thus, it is a double edge feature. That is about all that you can use feng shui to help especially for selling a house. The rest of the factors that determine how fast will the house sell depends a lot on:- i) Location of the house. Most buyers are very choosy about the location such as whether the location has good transport/schools/facilities etc. If there are, make sure you use them to help you sell it. That is why, we also keep mentioning that a auspicious feng shuihouse also depends alot about the location. In fact, the three most important factor that makes a house good are: 1) location, 2) location and 3) also location. Most of a time when a house isn't easy to sell it has to do with the location unfortunately. ii) The price of the house. I mean with so many new houses/condo/hdb for sale now-a-days, if the price is too high, even with the best location/features, it will also impact your chances for the sale. Even if your price is low, but most people will consider should they buy a new or old house. And if price difference isn't too great, most will opt for new home. That is why, it is not easy tosell even if it is price low. iii) The agent's contact and skills. I mean hiring a good agent that has the contacts for potential buyer and a good sales record is important. So where location or price are a problem, then you really need a good agent to help you on this. Nothing else is really going to help you make a sale. As far as feng shui, it will also have very little impact to influencing the sale of the house. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

I have attach a simple drawing of my room's layout. Sorry abt the quality and proportion of my sorry. I am having problem on where i should place my bed. I believe that the better one will be facing West, but that direction belongs to my "spook" and my wife's "disaster" direction. In the feng shui, we must follow a few priority and ranking:- 1. The house must be suitable the breadwinner since he provides for the family. This means that even if the house is unsuitable for the rest of the family, it is less important. However, if possible should ensure that the spouse of the breadwinner does not fall under death of disaster sector as wel. 2. The sector of where the room falls under. For example, if thisroom falls under the west side of the house then it will also fall under your favourable bedroom sector. This is often more important than the position of your bed. 3. The next is the placement of the bed based on the shapes and form. The current bed placement is bad in the shapes and form principle that when you open the door the first thing you see is the bed and your head. ie like sha qi cutting your head. So the better shapes and form placement is the bed on the west side which you will be on a defence position. ie you can see the door from where you lie. This is most ideal shapes and form position which should be given priority when compared to the eight house suitability. 4. Lastly, is out of the various shapes and form placment location, if you can find one which is best suited to you, that would be the most preferred. If not you can later on enhance the room with favourable colours to offset the suitability, or at least choose who should sleep on which side of the bed. So just choose the side of the bed which falls closer to your favourable sector. So if you based on my above rules, you should be better off if the bed is shifted to the west where it will be favourable to you although it is less favourable to your wife. Then choose the side of the bed which is closer to her favourable sector. And lastly, improve the room by choosing favourable element/colours that will boost both person luck or at least more to your wife luck so as to offset this disaster direction. Hope that helps. Dear Edwin, edwin tay wrote: from my bazi overview summary, it says that my favorable career are from wood and water, but from my bazi-career page, it says my wealth career is earth while power career is metal. There are 3 types of career classification. 1. Career with Wealth 2. Career with Power and Authority 3.Suitable Career based on your favourable elements. Career with Wealth/Power and Authority isn't always favourable to everyone, especially for weak element person as their element not strong enough to control the wealth. It does not mean that you cannot venture into these career, just that in order to do so you need first strengthen your weak element. Often you will find that career element favouring you will be more suitable. Thus, in your case wood and water will benefit you more. Strong element person on the other hand often have an advantage of being able to handle such career without little of much effort. Thus, they will be able to choose from Career with Wealth and Career with Power and Authority. So in the career page, it will still show you the career with wealth/power and authority. You can still venture into these career, but you still need to strengthen your weak element first. ie have a house that is favourable to you to boost your weak element, then you can at least be stronger to attempt to control your wealth.
