Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am a weak yin water. from 30yo to 60yo the fire element is strong in my luck pillar so my wealth luck is against me these 30yrs! Please advise me how to grab my wealth... A person's luck is affected by your given heavenluck (ba zi), your home & surrounding (earth luck), and your relationship or your own effort (human luck). Having luck against you based on a general 10-year luck only tell me that you are not a person born of a silver spoon. So you need to work hard to attain success. To obtain wealth, you need to actually correct several areas:- Heaven Luck - ie understand when is your good years so that you can take advantage of it. Know what element you belong to so as to know what favours you etc (ie weak water means you generally lack metal and water so having more metal and water will generally boost your luck.) Since five element can be related to career, house, colours, direction. So the more areas in your life that belongs to your favourable element, the better your overall luck. Particularly, the type of house you stay in and career. Use this link to learn more about the five element and relationship:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Earth Luck - the house you stay in often can adversely influence your luck. So finding where is the wealth and correcting the problems in the house can boost your overall luck. Human Luck - the people around you and your own hard work will determine whether you suceed or not. ie having good relationship with your boss will ensure good career path, while good relationship with your family and friends will also make sure you can seek their help whenever you need them. So you need to really check all the above areas to see what areas you lack and therefore correct them in order to improve your overall luck. Dear Cherry, Cherry Yam wrote: I just rented a house and the kitchen is in the center of the house. My sister told me it's not good. What can I do to cure this? Ideally, the center of the house should be empty if possible. If the kitchen is located there, but the stove is not located at the center of the house, then it is not as bad. If the stove is located at the center point of the house then, nothing much you can really do here except to move out to a better layout. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My bedroom is situated over the garage. This is more a common sense reasoning. It is often considered inauspicious, because usually the garage where the car is kept. As you know the car will have petrol, then when you do work, sometimes you keep the oil or flamable products in the garage. Soshould there be a fire, the bedroomif located on top will be the firsttobe affected. This is similiar to the kitchen. However, what is the probability of a fire starting in the garage, then compared to the kitchen. So this is not really as bad or as inauspicious. A pratical solution would just to install smoke detectors or sprinklers for safety. Anonymous wrote: 1. place a mirror face down under the bed. Anonymous wrote: 2. place a lucky toad under the bed. Dear Clarence, Clarence MitchellTeurman wrote: I purchased the Fly Star report and ran it using the front door and the center of the house (as shown in the diagram). However, I just read on one of the posting that if you use the garage door as the primary entrance then the garage door should be the door should be used for the report. Since you had purchased our reports, for faster response, please e-mail us directly. Sometimes, if you post in the forum, may take a little more time because there are so many post. In general, if landed property, the best is to take take the facing of the house for a overview for assessing the external and interior of the flying star chart. ie your Fence with gate (looks to me like the frontage for your home). So for purpose of flying star, still this official frontage will be your main facing. So this should still be the frontage you use for your flying star. This chart will allow you to extend your application of the flying star to not just the interior but exterior (ie your entire plot of land). However, you can symbolically use the garage entrance as your official frontage if this where it is more favourable for you. In order to treat it as your frontage, this will mean that your house number must be placed here so that it looks like the front of the house. Clarence MitchellTeurman wrote: 1) Since we used the garage as our primary door, should I have run the report using the garage door? Like I mentioned, above, still for purpose of applying the external and interior flying star, the main frontage is still used.If you wish to use the garage frontage, then you need to put your official house number there so that when people pass by it looks like the front of the house. Clarence MitchellTeurman wrote: 2) We enter the garage through a main (large) garage door and then enter the house through a door at the front right side of the garage (see diagram). When running the report, Should I use the main garage door (large) or the door that we use to enter from the garage into the house? You should use the main garage entrance if you wish to use this as a frontage. Simply because this garage is considered part of the house due to the layout of the house. Clarence MitchellTeurman wrote: Additionally, last year we replaced all the carpet with hardwood flooring, removed the wallpaper from the kitchen and guest bathroom, painted almosted all the rooms, tiled the guest bathroom and the kitchen, painted the kitchen cabinets, and installed new lights in the kitchen and the bathroom. Is this considered a major remodel and does it change the year of the house for the report? Sounds like it is a major enough. Was the living room part walls painted? Just to further re-enforce the change over to the next luck period, try to have at least 2 or 3 more major celebrations in the house to effect the change over to the next luck period. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We understand that bed headboard should totally lean against the wall. But we could not place our bed really against the wall, as there are 2 pillars. So there is a square gap. between the wall and our bed. Anonymous wrote: We do not wish to do extra renovation. Can we expect your advise for remedy to this situation? The only problem with this is usually the pillars will create poison arrow or sha qi. The best solution if you can build in some hidden cupboard space. This will hide the gap. The other method is to find way to cover or hide it. ie a simple curtain like or flat screen cover it will also work. As long as you can no longer see the threat, it no longer becomes a problem. Otherwise, really not much else you can do as the only way is to cover it the gap. Anonymous wrote: Also, due to space constraint, we have to put our computer monitor is the left corner of the bedroom on a small squaretable. The edge of the table would meet our feet if we lay down. But the monitor is put in a tilted angle so it faces us. Is this a right way? The monitor facing you isn't a big issue so should not be a problem. It is usually the cornder of the table edge that creates the poison arrow if any.So there is still space to shift it so that as little portion cuts into the bed, would be ideal. Else, just put in one of those home-fix rounded corner protection (to prevent children from knocking on the corner) that should resolve this issue. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My seating arrangement is such that we are back2back with one another but I am able to see who is coming in as the door is at the front of my right hand side. I would like to boost my career as well as human relationship, so i earnestly seek Master's advise on your suggestions. Thank you To be frank, in an office location. Unless you hold a high position where you are given your own room, there is very little or much you can do to really enhance your luck in the limited office space you are given. So I would advise, that you focus on areas you have control:- 1. The house is the most important area that influence your luck signifcantly. So finding a good house that has good feng shui qi as well as suitable to you or has a bedroom suitable to you is very important. This ensure that you gain luck from the house you live in. 2. The next area is the career suitability also plays an important role. A suitable career will ensure that you gain luck. ie if you are a weak water and you have a career in the IT (Metal/Water), this will ensure that you gain luck when you work. 3. The colour of the room that you work in or sleep also will influence your given luck. The colour of the clothes or personal objects (car etc). Will also boost your luck when you work or when you drive etc. The rest will depend on your human luck (relationship) with others etc. ie a good relationship with your boss will ensure a good and smooth career path. Dear Balbir, Balbir Anand wrote: What is a good direction for a cooking Range to face in the Kitchen for harmony. In general, the best direction for kitchen should go to who does the most cooking in the house to feed the rest of the family. ie if the wife of the house does most of the cooking, then it is best you have the cooking stove/area face the direction she commonly use. This is to give her the best amount of luck when she cooks. You can use the free eight house report to determine the best direction for the person from this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm The other method is to depend on the layout. Dear Aloysius Chia, Aloysius Chia wrote: Reason being if a person do not have a good chinese name (after analysis) but with good ba zi and staying in a good feng shui house, will his bad chinese name affect him. I have confusion over the above 3 combination as you may not have a good ba zi but a good feng shui house will assist you in many ways but will a good chinese name help too. A good name does help you in some way to boost up what you lack in your ba zi. However, it is not 100% necessary to bring you a great deal of luck change compared to the Feng Shui. A person's luck is affected by Heaven, Earth and Human luck. So my ranking would be:- 1) Earth Luck / Feng Shui (most important as this affects your earth luck, so a good house can influence your overall luck significantly even though your given heaven luck is bad) 2) Human Luck (relationship with others is next most important. As there is such thing as borrowing luck from another person. ie husband can draw strength from the spouse, or parents will draw strengthen from children etc). Most common is like if you have good relationship with your boss, your career path will be better than others. So this human luck I rank 2nd. 3) Heaven Luck / Ba Zi (this is given to you, so there is very little you can change right from birth except maybe your name.) The rest of the luck from this ba zi is how you can maximise and fully utilise the given luck. ie knowing when your luck is best to start work or going into the right career will influence this factor. So, this given luck is more like how you can maximise it. Thus, the name change is only 1 factor to this Ba Zi. Therefore, I rank the Name Change as least important given that it affected only a portion of your given luck. So a name change does not bring about a significant change compared to the Earth or Human luck. I can only rate it as it will help in a small way, but not significant enough compared to having a good home for example. Also, the hassle of a name change after a certain age, may outway the benefits you try to obtain from the name change. Hope that helps. Dear Delia, delia diaconu wrote: Since my self-element is weak fire, and my wealth element is metal, that should i do in order to improve my wealth luck? As a weak fire, your wealth is Metal. However, you will not benefit from it simply because you are too weak to be able to effectively control it. Therefore, in order to be able to increase or control your wealth, the very first thing that you should do boost up your weak fire. Therefore, you should focus on adding more Wood or Fire element depending. Always added the element you lack first as most important. Refer to your ba zi analysis done for you. ie if Wood is 10% while Fire is 20%, this means you benefit more from Wood since you lack more of it. Then associate what career, direction, colour, people belong to Wood element. This means that if your career, the direction of your work, colour of your room and people belong to Wood, you will be strengthening your weak fire. Then you will automatically be able to control your wealth (Metal). delia diaconu wrote: For exemple would be considered a good day 2 gamble or 2 play LOTO in a day which has self-element metal? Like I mentioned, you go for which belongs to your favourable element as the best/favourable element. This element will bring you most luck. However, when it comes to gambling, there are a lot more than just your own best luck. The 10-year, 5-year, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily luck will play important factor. So the best day with most luck has to be the one where all the different luck pillars are auspicious to be considered the best luck. Furthermore, you are gambling your luck vs the other people who are gambling. Therefore, which of you has the highest overall luck will determine who has higher chance to win. That is why gambling is never a good way to earn wealth. That is why most people who gamble may end up losing more than what you win. But the above is generally, how you find the best luck so that you will have higher chance. But ultimately, it will be who's luck playing the same game who is highest that will end up being the winner. delia diaconu wrote: Another question: howwould I get a long with an son or daugher who's self element would be metal?Thank you very much to whom would answer me! Aweak Fire vs weak metal, will required like Fire & Earth as the binding element. A weak Fire vs Strong Metal, will like to have Wood as the binding element. Hope that helps. It would be great if you can give me some more information about it. Thank you! The 10-year luck only really tell you whether are you considered more of a very forunate person (ie a person born with silver spoon), or a less forunate person (ie. most average person that has to work very hard to make a living). So in general, it would seem that your is one that you will have to work even harder on your own to gain success. Anyway, the 10-year luck is one area of luck, in order to see how your luck really is, will depend on how the 5-yearly luck, the yearly luck, 6-monthly luck, monthly luck. You will still have good 5-yearly, yearly luck every now andthen which will mean thatyou will still enjoy somegood luck from time to time. Soknowing when is your good period, will allow youto be able to maximise your given luck. So that means that you still haveopportunities tosucceed in businessif you venture into thesuitable business and at the righttime in your life. Dear Desmond, Desmond Woo wrote: What is the differences between a bazi reading analysis and a Ziwei doushu analysis? I know bazi calculation is using the 4 pillars and the 5 elements to analyse, but it seems like Ziwei doushu takes a different method of analysing by generating a chart of many boxes or columns in a square shape. How much differences or accuracy are there between them actually? Ba Zi and Zi Wei Dou Shu are really two different concepts. Ba Zi isa personal luck foreast, some form of fortune telling etc. This is often the analysed used in Feng Shui analysis. Zi Wei Dou Shu is actually Chinese Horoscope and Astrology. It uses the different animal signs or the different stars that changes in your life. Basically, it is used more for relationship and character analysis. So they are really for different purpose. They are really both accuate in what they do best. ie ba zi for luck forecast, while zi wei dou shu for relationship/compatibility forecasting. There is really no such thing as a single tool/analysis that is very accurate. In fact, if you are looking for a good fortune reading for example, then you need to apply all the various fortune tools together to give you a very comprehensive and accurate analysis. For example, face reading/palm reading/bone reading/ba zi/zi wei dou shu etc. Each analysis tool give you a specific area of accuracy, and when you put them together that is will give you an accurate analysis. This because each theory or concept is for a specific purpose. If you can take the best of each concept, they will reinforce eachother and correct the flaws of the other concept. So just like feng shui, a good feng shui analysis uses all its feng shui related analysis, ie shapes and form, compass school (eight house/flying star), ba zi and horoscope. Each tool will complement each other and also help to bridge any flaws in any single concept. That if you noticed, just take ba zi for example, there are so many different variations of ba zi available. iexia calendar/lunar calendar, some break the 11pm-1am as two different hours, others want to apply gmt timezone. All thinking that those changes will actually make a real difference in the accuracy justify the historical events. But they all forget that ba zi is only a heavenly given luck. There are so many factors that influence it, your home & place you stay in(earth luck)/your relationship (human luck), your education etc. These are what changes some of your predicted luck to be different from what actually happen. And that is why only when you put all the various concepts like your flying star, eight house, shapes and form, then you are able to properly identify what is the reason why things go wrong. That is why an accurate analysis is not dependent on 1 single analysis. It is taking the best results of each concept and putting them together that is makes a good analysis from a bad one. Each theory or concept is there to re-enforce the other. For example,Compass shool has eight house and flying star. Flying Staris to assess the house luck, while eight house is to assess the suitability.A house with very good flying star but does not suit you wlil not being as great a benefit than an average flying star but suitable to you. So back to your question. The two concepts each are accurate in what they are best in. Ba Zi is good for individual element/luck forecast, while Zi Wei Dou Shu excel in compatibility. Like in our website, when we need compatiblity, you find we always check our horoscope site for additional compatibility reading. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Nevine, nevine al seidi wrote: I am strong wood. This means my colour is green. Should I employ more red and fire element, more and more metal in my home to neutralize my nature? And does this mean I should surround myself with less living plants? I think you are a little confused here. Kua (Eight House) is often used more for most suitable/best facing etc. It is based on year of birth so it is less accurate when you are planning to use for personal analysis. Thus, even though there is a kua element you do not use it as your personal element. Ba Zi charts your luck and true personal element as it uses the day/month/year and even hour of birth. So it is better to determine your element. Which as you mentioned is Strong Wood. Strong Wood does not mean that your favourable is green. A Strong Wood means you are strong because you either have too much Wood or Water. Thus, Wood and Water are not your favourable element. Instead, Strong Wood means you are overally strong, thus you need elements like Fire to exhaust away the excess Wood, or Metal to destroy the Wood or even Earth (your wealth) to help control the excess water. Therefore, your favourable elements/colours should be Fire(red), Metal (white/gold) or Earth (yellow). Refer to this link for the colours and five element relationship chart:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net How much or exactly which element is considered you most favourable will depend a lot on the percentage of the element in your chart. For example if the percentage of your fire is 50%, metal is 15% and earth 5%, that means among the 3 favourable element, you benefit from having more earth followed by Metal and Fire. This will be known if you have a full ba zi analysis for you to fune tune. Otherwise, in general any of the 3 favourable element will be favourable. Hope that helps. Dear Kumar, kumar g wrote: mywife was born on 9 july 1985 . so what will be her age according to chinese calenderas on 10 october 2005 . is it 20 years 3 months or 21 years . Just count her age from the lunar birth date 22 day 5th month 1985 year. The age as on lunar date 10 day 10month 2005 year would be 20 years 3 months. This is usually the best way to count your date based on whether it pass your next lunar birth date. This is the best way to count just like your western birthdate. The reason why there is some who will consider it 21 years, is because they only count by the year. Meaning that though you are born on 22 day 5th month 1985, they will consider that age 1 already. Then by 2005 it will be considered age 21. This is not wrong also, just that it don't count by the exact next birth date. That is why it is always said that the chinese age is often considered 1 year ahead. However, to avoid confusion, it is best you calculate by the next birthday which is more accurate. I thought that having a pair is good. Could you suggest that should I throw the third one and what could be the best place to place the ducks. In general, for any animal it is best to have them a pair. It is not auspicious to have 3 as it would be like there is a 3rd odd one out. If you relate it to a relationship, it is like having a 3rd party. So not not really advisable. It is best you either keep the 3rd duck and only display the 2. As to whether to display, this is really up to you. If you have some display cabinet then place them there. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am a person of weak wood with a lot of fire elements, but no water. As such my wood is considered 'rootless'. Read in a book that some people have a 'follow the leader' configuration in their bazi whereby the self element (day master) surrenders to the strongest element in their bazi as it has no chance of survival. As such elements which favour their very weak self element are actually detrimental to them. How does one know if his/her day element is of this special configuration or merely weak? Actually, there is really nothing significantly different from the 'follow the leader' type of chart if you really know how to properly determine the weak/strong and apply the five element of balance properly. At least, you need not have to worry about it, if you are applying cures or solutions from our website's ba zi chart. Why? Simply because if you properly define a person's weak/strong and then apply the balance of the elements concept to prioritise the favourable/unfavourable elements. You will find that it is will take care of most of the worries about the so call 'follow the leader' characteristics. Take your chart for example, which I extracted from our your profile and using a portion of our paid ba zi report:- Element Strength Percentage 0 Water Weakest 0 % 0 Wood Weak 0 % 8 Fire Strongest 90 % 0 Earth Strong 0 % 4 Metal Extremely Weak 9 % You will still be considered weak wood simply because your favourable elements (water 0% + wood 0% = 0%) is still less than your unfavourable elements (metal 9% +earth 0% = 9%). Fire element will exhaust Wood but at the same time strengthen Earth. So it should never be considered in the initial equations as it willcancel out the any good or bad effects. Therefore, without any doubt, you are a weak wood. Where water and wood elements are generally your favourable elements, and fire and metal are generally unfavourable for you. Earth is your wealth which is also generally considered unfavourable due to your self element considered weak wood. So the above will generally define your favourable and unfavourable based on whether you are weak or strong. In any case, this rules is still the fundamental and should not be ignored. The difference or the fine tuning comes in the balance of the five element, where you should aim to get 20% of each element to achieve perfect harmony. 1.Water and Wood are both 0% which is way below the optimium 20%, so both are needed to gain harmony. Since both percentage are also equal, it means both elements equally required to make your weak wood stronger. However, even under this special situation, you will find that Water will be most beneficial for you. This is because water will help to destroy Fire. It also helps to exhaust the Metal. So this means Water is most favourable followed by Wood element. 2. Fire 90%, Metal 9% & Earth 0% are your unfavourable element. Where Fire element you already have 90% which is too much. So this becomes the element you need to avoid. While Earth you have 0% so this element though your unfavourable element is what you want to have more of. Followed by Metal. So when you put it together, as a weak wood:- 1. Water element is your most favourable element. This you need to have most of. 2. Wood element is needed but much lesser than Water and to control the Earth element that you will be adding. 3. Earth element is needed after you have sufficient Water and/or Wood element. 4. Fire element is not needed and should be avoided due to having too much already. 5. Metal element isn't needed as when you have Earth, it will automatically produce Metal to balance up the chart. So this means that you most Water, some Wood and Earth elements. While you should avoid Fire and Metal. Thus, you see if there isn't really anything special about the 'follow the leader' type of chart if you really know how to apply the weak/strong characteristics together with the balance of the five element. At least not really a big issue if you are using our website's ba zi analysis. In any case, your chart is still weak, so you need to still increase your weak elements and elements you lack to attain the perfect balance. Hope that helps. However, this can easily be resolved by applying the give and take concept. ie when you are looking for a home for example, the breadwinner will have to be given the best facing direction, while the spouse will get a better bedroom to compensate. To really assess incompatibility, we need to check the copatibility of the horoscope signs (ie tiger vs monkey may not be that compatible pair). One will also need to check the ba zi element compatibility. As well as analysing two ba zi chart to see if there are any clashes/harm. These three different checks will give a better assessment on the compatibility between the two person. Hope that helps. Dear Sherry, Sherry Shao-To wrote: Is it okay to put a clock in the middle of the backwall of my store facing out of my front door? It's also above my restroom and storage room doors. Thank you, Usually, the reason behind the inauspicious meaning of the clock is that. Clock in chinese is pronounced as 'Zhong'. The act of giving a clock is called song-zhong, which also sounds similiar to another phrase representing sending off the dead. That is why clock has this kind of meaning. So ideally it is also inauspicious, where there is a clock that faces your home from across your home, or where you see it when you enter into your home. Clock that is placed just above a corridor walk way or above a door are also not ideal, as if the clock isn't hung securely, then there is a possibility of it dropping and hitting someone. The best place to place is on the side of the wall where it faces another wall and not a window or above door/corridor entrance. If based on the information provided so far, it may not be the most ideal if your clock faces the front door, and if it is hung just above the entrance tothe restroom/storage room door. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Pls advise on which birthdate should we use for all kinds of feng shui calculator ( eg. four pillar, kua, bazi, etc ) - the solar ( as in the birth certificate) or chinese lunar date? The online calculators on our website requires the use of your western/gregorian/solar date and time of birth (as defined in your birth certificate). It will then do the necessary conversion to the chinese lunar calendar for any specific analysis. That is why you will see a western and lunar calendar information at the beginning of the report for you to counter check to ensure that the information are correct. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I purchased two BaGua mirrors, one convex and one concave. I was going to hang them together in my house on my wall but now I read they are to be hung outside. Which one is better tohang and where does it go? If I hang it inside can it be facing out a window or does it need to actually be outside? Can I hang them both together outside or only one at a time? Can I hang it on a railing if there is no space to be hung over the outside door? I am trying to improve positive energy in and around my house. To be frank, you should not be putting up bagua unnecessarily. The different types of bagua has different meaning and purpose:- A convex bagua (ie the one which looks like a fisheye), is meant to deflect external sha qi or poison arrow. Also such bagua is effect to place outside the house rather than inside the house. A concave bagua, is meant more to trap/suck wealth, usually placed for example at a missing corner in attempt to retain wealth. A flat bagua, is meant more to scare away evil spirits. So you should only place it for the above reasons and not just placing it for no reasons or purpose. So hang the convex bagua externally where the threat (ie a poison arrow/sharp corner from another building/house) cuts into your home. As for the concave bagua, hang it at the missing corners of your home in attempt to trap and retain wealth for the owner. If you have neither of the problems listed above, then don't hang it at all. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
