Dear Anon, Yes, under the horoscope sign Ox and Ram are not compatible. However, you are a Strong Fire Ram, while your husband is Strong Metal Ox. Your husband benefit from you as your Strong Fire helps to keep his Strong Metal in control. Your husband is also your wealth to your Strong Fire. So though your horsocope isn't the most compatible, but your five element is compatible. Therefore, your incompatibility isn't the most incompatible pair. So it isn't really that bad. Also, you can improve the relationship by having more water element. Please refer to this chart for five element and relationship:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, i have a question regarding the placement of my family photo in my living room. Currently, my family photo is placed on a wall in my living room which is facing the entrance to my kitchen, which also faces the windows in the kitchen (the windows of a normal kitchen ina HDB flat). Please remove it from the current location. It is extremely bad luck to face the family photo facing the kitchen because the kitchen got lots of knife and forks etc which is like cutting the family. Anonymous wrote: I would like to ask if that's a favourable position to place the photo as it seems that i have been having bad luck since placing the photo there. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello, we have just started house hunting and to our dismayed, landed property prices has gone up like crazy as compared to Nov last year. I was told by someone who knew a little bit about FS advising that we should look for a property on the last quarter of 2007 or best in 2008 whereby there will be a correction to the current uptrend. What are your advise please as you are a professional master. Thank you. Frankly, although we are able to forecast an individual's luck for the entire life, not every decisions to be made based on feng shui. Investment Opportunities (ieinvesting in stocks and shares)for example cannot be made based on feng shui luck forecast. Instead, it should be made by examining the high and lows of the counter as well as how you good the business model of the company that you plan to invest. If you do careful evaluation, you will be able to know if the company has good business growth potential, and thus minimise your risk when making investment. This is far better than basing on buying when your luck is high or low. Buying a house is for having a place to stay. So there is really no good or bad time to buy a house. The only consideration is whether the house has good feng shui or not. Especially if you are planning to buy a house for long term investment. Isn't it better to buy when the prices are low so that you do not need to take so much loan, and when the market is doing well, to be able to gain value from the house when the prices are up. Same goes for business opportunities. You should based on whether there is demand for your goods and services rather than basing on whether you are suitable or whether this year is lucky for you or not. Same goes for romance. I mean even if your ba zi tells you that there is no romance luck for that year. That does not mean you cannot get married. Starting a family is a step to increasing your wealth as children are wealth to a person. So not every decisions to be made based on feng shui. You have to really use the common sense approach to it. Meaning, that you can have a feng shui forecast to know generally when is good or bad time. But more important to that, you also have to use the common sense approach. So back to your questions. If you are buying a house because you need the rooms for your family, then by all means search and buy it when you found a good a suitable one. If you are buying a house for investment purpose, then it makes sense to buy when the price is low or when you see potential growth in that location. Don't rely on feng shui to make such decisions. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Delia, delia diaconu wrote: Woul he get along very well wth a sister wich self-element would be strong earth? Under the five element compatibility analysis:- Strong Woodvs Strong Earth (sister). Strong wood helps to keep the sister's strong earth from being too strong. So it is favourable to her. Strong Earth is wood's wealth. So this means that your son's sister is his wealth element. So again this is favourable. So I have to say that the five element compatibility should be ok. Of course, when it comes to relationship between each other no matter how compatible, some conflicts may still arise from time to time. But in general, both benefit from each other's company. So compatibility is good. For any relationship, there is always a binding or common element that can help to improve the relationship. In this case, it would be metal element to help minimise any confilcts and improve harmony. The rest depends on the human luck factor (ie both person must be able to give and take to maintain the harmony). Hope that helps. Dear Ann, Ann Loo wrote: Thanks so much for clarification. Incidentally, my master bedroom is on one level directly above the living room and the study is at 2nd level above this. (Its a 2.5 storey house). This will make both the master bedroom andstudy to have the 8-1-8 combination as well. Should I activate the mountain stars for both sectors and how can the mountain star be activated? Will putting paintings of mountain help? Thanks again Yes, in this case the painting of the moutain will help activate the mountain star in the bedroom. And, yes, you can also activate the water star in the living room. But you cannot activate both in the same room/level. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Cahaya, Cahaya Harapan wrote: I'am a west person. I want to move to west (W2) direction house(my prosperity direction). The house is period 8 with water feature at the front. Is it still not a good flying star in this case ? Can you tell me at what case west direction is good for west person ? (You said NE dan SW is better for west person). Thank you, Cahaya Harapan If you are a west group person, and if you are looking for period 8 house. Then North-East/South-West has the two most favourable flying star house luck. Also, it will fall under your favourable eight house direction. So yes, NE/SW will have better house luck than a period 8 West facing house. This is generally the case. Take note:That even though the house direction are generally good, the auspicious flying star sectors should fall in the right locations of the layout to benefit from the good luck. Otherwise, say if you stay in a NE house but all the good stars falls in the toilet or storeroom or yard areas where it does not benefit you, then it is not good. So whether or not a flying star house direction is auspicious is one thing. Finding a layout that can benefit from the chart and still have rooms suitable for every family member is equally important. West facing house still have auspicious flying star in the front. So it is still one of the auspicious direction for homes. As to whether or not it is the best direction, as mentioned depends a lot on whether the layout has the rooms in the right sector to benefit or not. So whether it is NE/SW/W if the layout cannot benefit from the chart, then it is not as good. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I found out that my element is strong yin water. I have intention to run a restaurant but I fear that water element will clash with fire, in which people relate restaurant with. Resturant is Fire (selling/cooking food) and also Earth (Food). So it is mixed Fire/Earth to be more accurate. You see there is a difference between weak water and strong water:- 1) weak water is one where you lack metal and water. Thus, metal and water is you favourable. While, wood / earth is unfavourable. Whilefire (your wealth is unfavourable), unless you have more metal/water to strengthen your weak water so that it is strong enough to control it. 2) Strong water is one where you have lots of metal and water already making you strong, so elements which weaken or help to keep your strong water from being overly strong. So Wood which helps to exhaust, while Earth which destroy water and even Fire which is your wealth is favourable for you. If you are a weak water, then yes, running a restaurant isn't favourable for you. However, as you are a Strong water, this means that Fire and Earth which is represented by running a Restaurant is your wealth and your favourable element. So it is actually a very suitable wealth element career for you at least based on the fact you are a strong water. Hope that helps. Dear Delia, delia diaconu wrote: Happy new year to everybody!!!!!I have 2 questions.First,I even paid for my son's Bazi reading and I was told that His self-element is strong yin wood.Well....i just wanted a second opinion about his for pillars and ....,I was told that his element is weak, not too weak but still weak yin wood.So I am wondering how is it after all, weak or strong or ......So i am askink for some help, his DOB is 25 of february 2006,at00:51 minutes, rat hours, born in NeW-YORK,USA.The second question i will ask tommorow,it is midnight here in Romania were I am visiting my parents and....I got very sleepy.Thank you very much! To be frank, I do not know how detailedwas your ba zi done when the person who told that his element is weak. So I have no comments on that. I can only tell you why we assess it as strong. Frankly, the best way to determine if you are weak or strong, is by doing an equation of the favourable and unfavourable elements after considering all the combinations/clashes and You can't go wrong if you break it up to percentage to see clearly why it is so. Your son is born on Wood day. So the main element is wood. So what favours wood? Also, the strengthen of the element will impact how weak or strong each element is:- Favourable elements (25%+27%=52%): Water (as it WaterhelpsWood to grow) -You have 3 weak water which represents 25% Wood (as it add strengthen to Wood) - You have 2 Strongest woot which represents 27% Unfavourable elements (22%+2%=24%): Metal (destroy your wood) - You have 4 weakest Metal which represents 22% Earth (destroy your favourable water element) - You have 1 extremely weak earth which represents 2% Fire element is neutral as it exhaust your wood (weaking it), and destroy Metal (which helps you). So if you must add, you need to add to both your favourable and unfavourable. So it cancels it's own effects out. So since you have more favourable (52%) vs unfavourable (24%). Which is a 28% more. So you are clearly a Strong Wood rather than weak wood. So once you are determined as a Strong Wood, that makes Fire/Earth/Metal as your favourable element. Earth is your most favourable element simply because you have only 2% of it. Next will between Fire and Metal as you have 22% of it. So your most favourable element is Earth, followed by Fire or Metal element. For your unfavourable elements, you are strong because of more Wood (27%) rather Water (25%). As at now, you have sufficient of these elements. So you should avoid having more water/wood until you have suffficient of Earth/Fire/Metal. Once you have sufficient of Earth/Fire/Metal. You see the goal is to attain a perfect balance of exactly 20% of each of the five element. I can say about your son's chart, is overall it is well balanced. All the percentage is about 22+% with exception of Earth (2%). So that means that basically, what the child lack is Earth. But don't forget, as you add earth, your earth percentage will increase, but other element percentage will also decrease. Also, depending on which period, your percentage of the five element will also change from period to period. So sometimes you need more of one element, other times you may need a little of the other elements. o just adding earth alone will not be enough. Which is why you need to add more Earth, with a little of Fire and Metal. Only then will your chart be balanced. So that is why your son is a Strong Wood as opposed to weak Wood. At least this has been how our website has been assessing the different ba zi charts and why we say it is weak or strong. Dear GG Mart, gg mart wrote: BIG help needed for 2007...I just charted my NW2 Ch'ien home for 2007 and I have a 5,7,6 combination in the NE sector with the yearly visting Yellow number 5 as well...in fact on the NEW Year Feb 18, the visting monthly star is a 5 also....What should I do to cure this area? Please help! Basically, the stars have 7/6 which represents weak metal/Strong Metal. So it should be enough to control the Earth Star. However, with the entrance of the second Star 5 from the yearly star. Solution:- 1. Additional Metal may still be needed to control the star 5. So best to keep this area white. One way is to add the 6 coins with red string to strengthen this sector for the current year. 2. Waterelement is also necessary to help exhaust the star 7 which is an inauspicious star that is yet to be controlled. So some light blue colour may also help. Water feature may not be appropriate as there is not auspicious water star that is available to be activated. 3. You must avoid Earth (bright yellow) or Fire (bright red) in this sector of the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Mark, Mark Thornhill wrote: I have a 4m 7b 8w combination at the front door and I am so very confused as to what to activate. I have read Eva Wongs book and she says that I should concentrate on relationship between 7b and 8w. However, Stephen Skinner says that 4m and 8w should be concentrated on? Generally, there are many rules in flying star application. The easiest what I can advise you is follow these rules:- 1. You should always consider how the 3 element interact with each other and which is auspicious/inauspicious. 4 (weak Wood) 7 (weak Metal) 8 (weak Earth) In period 8, star 4 is average, star 7 is inauspicious, star 8 is auspicious. So the best solution to improve the luck for this sector is to control the inauspiciou star 7.Adding water which exhaust the metal and activate the water star 8. So you immediately benefit from enhancing the water star 8. The interaction with moutain and water star is can help you give the interpretation of what problems is present in the sector. The interation with the base star is necessary to see what is the major influence, but more important it is used to check against the yearly star. So just focus on the balance of the 3 elements, where you try to control the inauspicious star and boost the aupicious star. Thensee whether it is is good to activate the auspicious moutain or water star. Basically, for most novice, this would be the best advice to follow. Hope that helps. I decided to hang them up in my room. However, when my mother saw it she said it is very bad to hang up dragons and tigers in your room. She told me only emperors can do that. It is very bad for me to do something like that since I am born in the year of the pig. Actually, it is best not hang any painting that contains fierce looking creatures/animals. For a very simple reason, because they contain a lot of Sha Qi. It is ok to hang any auspicious/happy loooking paintings as it just brings about a nicer feeling. So I do have to agree with your mum on it. Chun Hao Wang wrote: I don't know what I should do. I thought dragons are suppose to protect me and tigers are suppose to give me strength. So the horoscope signs does not really conflict with you as a pig. Rabbit and Ram are best horoscope compatibilitymatch for a Pig. Dragon / Tiger isn't the best match for a Pig. They are average at best. So since the Dragon/ Tiger does not clash withyou, as long as the picture isn't too fierce looking, and if you really like it should still be ok to be displayed in study/office or anywhere where you need want to show that you have authority. However, not good for bedroom, because Tiger and Dragon are considedYang. And the bedroom should be yin (for resting) Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I am very interested in this unit but it is almost unavoidable to give the place a fresh coat of paint, renovating the bathroom (hacking the tiles) and not to mention the possibility of knocking down a part of the kitchen wall. However, by doing that, it will bring the house number from a good period to period 8, which was interpretated as 'vomitting'. Is there a way to curb this? The house do really need some renovation. Also, is this 'vomiting' referring to physical vomiting or more than that? Thanks! The apartment number analysis is an extension of the flying star analysis to help determine between two unit number which one is more auspicious. For Apartment, you either have auspicious or inauspicious house number. That is about it. Anyway, for auspicious number, there are so many other methods to assess it. Such as by the sounding ie #08-888, would likely sound better even if the apartment number analysis isn't that great. So the interpretation does not really for the house unless that interpretation is present for the flying star sector of the house. So you really do not need to worry about it. Since you are doing renovation, it is more important to ensure that if your house is a period 7 (1984-2003), then a major renovation may change the house luck. So if it does, then you need to ensure that the bad sectors are neutralised. While the good water star or mountain star is activated to increase the luck for the house. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My front door faces a flight of steps going up and then directly down to my backdoor - I hung a metal windchime outside my front door to mitigate. I also try not to use my front door as best I can. However, my chime is making a lot of noise and I am afraid of disturbing my neighbours (I live in a patio home) so I stuff each chime with some cotton to stop the ringing.... please help - is that ok? How else can I 'cure' my front door facing stairs/to back door ailment? Thank you so much!! The problem is the Qi leak directly out the door as well the sha qi from the flight of steps. The Qi leak to the back door can be solved by keeping the door close and ensure the door do not contain any see through window design. I do not believe that the wind chime would be the best solution for this problem. Like you mentioned, it is noisy. The best solution is to kind of screen/parition to block the Qi from going straight through from the door to the back of the house. So the more appropriate solution is to have a partition that blocks this qi leak, either before the stairs. But I am not sure if you really have space to install this just before the stairs. If not, another way is to have some kind of screen door before your door, or a kind of wooden garden fence thatcrawling plants creap andclimb on to installed at the patio before your door. This will block some of the qi leak. Also, it looks nice to have greenery at the frontage. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

What cures can you recommend that I can do please. Unforuntely, the only solution is to position the bed in another better position if possible. Since you can't, then there is nothing much you can do abou this bed position. What I can suggest is that you work on correcting other areas that you are able to correct. Such as choosing the right bedroom colour, the right colour scheme for your bed sheets etc. ie. if you are a weak wood, then favourable colours are Water (blue/black/gray) / Wood (green/brown) colours. This will at least boost your ba zi luck to compensate from the inauspicous sleeping position/direction. Remember, that when applying colour scheme to your room and where you are not aware of the flying star influencing the room, avoid bright red/bright yellow and try to choose light pastel colours (ie off-white) or very light tones. Why is it the best direction? 1) The best facing should be one that:- 1a)will enjoy the right choice of open space for your frontage and the best moutain support for your home. 1b) it should also be positioned such that you get the auspicious flying star facing. Such as Westgroup person may consider North-East/South-West facing for period 8, while East house group may consider South/East facing for period 8. 1c) In addition, to the best direction for the flying star, you also have to consider that the facing direction does not fall under the Death or Disaster sector for the breadwinner. This has to be considered together with point 2, orsome form of compromise is needed to get the optimium direction. 1d) Where possible, the best direction is one that fits both your eight house and ba zi element. Or where it is not possible, then at least avoid Death/Disaster sector. 1e) The breadwinner will need to have the house most suitable to him. I believe I have given you a guide in my point 1. A good house if it does not suit you will not bring you the best amount of luck. A few traditional Feng Shui Masters have stated their views that there should not be any changes with respect to people living in the South Hemisphere. We also believe there is really no need to make any special alternation to the feng shui analysis. Actually, the seasons in the South is still the same as in the North. Only difference it that it is more like it is there is a time lag of6 months apart. For example, in the Northern hemisphere, the Winter is in Dec. But in the South the winter comes only in Jun. So the fundamental of the five element principle remains the same because it is not like the seasons are reversed or anything. It is stillSping - So the fundamentals in the five element and seasons will still remain the same. Furthermore, the purpose of like the ba zi to determine the luck of a person, is actually more to determine the balance of the person (how weak or strong he/she is ie weak water, neutral water or strong water). Ultimately, the analysis is will balance itself of because of the way the five element and yin and yang concept was formed. So really, any feng shui analysis is simply to make sense and attempt to relate all the information together. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My sons' bedroom falls in the spooky area of the house. How to counter this problem? Should I paint the bedroom with their suitable bright color? Can they still sleep in this room even though it is not their ideal place to sleep? My eldest son's ideal placeshould beour master bedroom while youngest is my husband's ideal study room. Hope to hear from you soon, thanks. You cannot correct a suitablity problem. A suitability sector is for you to assess whether it is good for a person to make use of that room or not. So you can only opt to use or not to use it if it is really bad. Spook and Irritation are not as bad as death or disaster sector. So they are still rooms that you can use. Just make sure that, when you find the rooms for the rest of your family members, you locate the one which is most suitable or at least not the two worst direction death/disaster sector. The two things you can do improve the luck are:- 1. If it is possible try to locate the sleeping position / study positon. For sleep position, the head points to the good sector. ie if North is favourable, then head should point North, while feet should point South. For study position, you should sit facing the good direction. ie if North, then you sit facing North. 2. The next thing is do is choose the most favourable colour that suits the ba zi element. For example,a weak wood person, favours water (blue/black/gray) or wood (green/brown). Remember to try to choose light pastel colours (off-white) andmust be extra careful when choosing brightred/bright yellow. This is because if you do not consider the flying star, these colours can activate the Illness/Misfortune star 2/5 (Earth element) in the sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Delia, delia diaconu wrote: A very good friend of mine is pregnat. She is expecting a boy ,the due date is the 17 of feb.Because of her health situation she will have a cesarian so......I dared to make a suggestion, the 16 of february, dragon hour,or rooster hour. Please could you give me a second opinion?ii anything bad that you can see so thi shoud be avoided.I chooce this date because the self element is strong.I hope for a bit more information,if possible?Thank you so much! NOTE: In future, it is best you seek professional consultancy services on such questions as any question that needs to consider many factors are not suitable to be answered by anyone under free advice. Why? Simply because so many factors are not know, ie the parent's date and time ofbirth (to check whether the baby element can also bring luck to parents) and how suitable the baby will be to the parents etc. Without allfactors being considered, any advice given may not be correctly given. And could result giving you the wrong advice and instead of helping any result in more harm or problems. I advice on the general ba zi analysis (not considering any other factors) for the day16 Feb 2007 on a boy. The day seems generally auspicious luck for baby boy. But need to be careful of unbalanced five element charts for certain hours which may mean potentially higher health problems. Which is the better hour, that one you will need to assess in detail, and also need to consider what types of characteristics the parents hold more important for the baby to have. There is no best hour, but rather the best hour that the parents feel that they can accept the pros and cons. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
