Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What does "In constant contact with Wood" mean? Anonymous wrote: It says, unless I can enhance myself with "Wood", then only I can enjoy this wealth (Metal Related Career). Generally, in order to control the wealth elements, you first need to be strong. So for example, if you are a weak wood, and Metal is your wealth element. In order for you to control your wealth, you first need to be a Strong Wood. To become a strong wood, this means having more water and wood element to strengthen your weak wood. So that is why when it says you need to be in contact with wood, this means you element is not strong enough. Anonymous wrote: How can I enhance myself with wood - as far as career is concerned? e.g. house decorated with "Wood" related color, house facing "Wood" direction etc ? A person's ba zi can be improved from having a suitable career/colour/house facing/people around you. You can refer to this link about five element and relationship. URL: http://talk.geomancy.net The more areas that falls under your favourable element, the more your weak element is improved. Thus, you will then be able to have a career with wealth. So if you are a weak wood, then having more water (ie staying north facing house, blue/black colour decor/clothings etc). Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My kua number is 6 and I amsitting facing East/SE (the five ghost). My L-shaped desk is fixed and there are cabinets on my right hand just connected to the end of my Lshaped desk. There isan exteriorwall behind me, about 10 feet away from me with a window. I cannot change my facing direction because my table is fixed and cannot be moved. Is there anything i can do to improve, since I cannot move to another area or my desk.?Thanks Generally, in an office environment. Unless you are holding key managerial positions, you are often allocated to a work area which you will have very little options to make changes. So it is unlikely that you can change the sitting positions. So the only other thing you can do is simply to improve either your home feng shui (which is something you can do), or improve your own ba zi luck through wearing favourable colours to boost up your luck. A person's luck is influenced by the Heaven, Earth and Human Luck. Heaven Luck is luck that is given to you, so having favourable element/career/colours etc will improve your given luck. Earth Luck is luck from your home and surrounding. Having a good house can adversely influence your ba zi luck. Human Luck is your own hard work and relationship luck. So where you cannot correct your office luck, then you work on improving your ba zi and home luck to offset the influence. Hope that helps. Dear J T, jt88 88 wrote: Is it neccessary to collect keysfor a new home on a auspicious day? I found that the day of collection is an inauspicious dayfrom My Fengshui report site. Thank you. Selecting an auspicious date is just to find a date that has as little inauspicious influence to your ba zi. This is to ensure that you have a good start that is all. So it is entirely up to individual whether or not they want to find a good date or not. Of course, if possible it is always recommended to find a good date to collect key, to perform initial opening ceremony, move-in, start of renovation etc. All this is just to ensure that everything will go smoothly. Nothing more. You can always use this free auspicious date link to determine a good date:- URL: http://date.geomancy.net Hope that helps. Dear Anonymous, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I know this may be a question that is not answered due to being superstition/omen. But here it goes- I just moved into a new office and found a dead bat, I removed it, what can I do? My birth is august 7, 1963 and this office is on the west side of the building. thanks for any assistance. As you mentioned, this is not really a feng shui issue. In this case, bats/rats etc are all pest. So there isn't any problem that is related to feng shui. The only thing is that you may feel or think it might be a bad omen to have found something dead especially when you move just move in. So maybe spend some time to clean up/disinfectthe place or even a small prayer and offerings on auspicious date just to symbolise getting rid of this potential bad luck. Hope that helps. Dear Sarah, Sarah Chew wrote: Ifmy earned income is more than my husband, am I right to say that I am the main breadwinner, if that is so. Can you advise how the house report given will affect me and my husband? Generally, the breadwinner is often the head of the house(usually the husband). In the modern society, as both(husband and wife) alsowork for income. There person who earn moreis can beconsidered the breadwinnerproviding for most of the needs of the house. Should both earn about the same or the income is not very much apart, it is best to still take the husband sinceunder theTraditional Chinese system, he is still deemed the head of the house. So unlessyour income difference is verybig, then it is better to consider yourself as the breadwinner. If not, it is stillbetter to consider your husband. The difference in who is the breadwinner, will affect whether how the house suits the breadwinner. Given that mostcouples will have oppositeGua, a different breadwinner will normally mean the house for example may be suitable for the husband, might not be suitable for the wife. So that is the implicationon how thechange in breadwinner affects the house report. Otherwise, thehouse report (flying star chart) won't really change that much.Only the suitability of the house to the breadwinner portion will be affected. Hope that helps. Dear Patrick, P Sun Patrick wrote: I will be collecting my keys on 5 September 2007. Would it be okie to open my door on that day or should I wait until the hungry ghost festival ends? What are the repurcussions if I open the door during hungry ghost festival? Partner's mum wants us to open after hungry ghost festival. Kindly advise You can make use of this link to check if 5 sep 2007 is an auspicious or not:- URL: http://date.geomancy.net Generally, most people will avoid collecting key, intial opening of door, move-in, start of renovation during this 7th month. This is to avoid accidentially `inviting' a ghost/spirit into the house. So it is best to wait until after the Chinese 7th Month before you actually collect or open the door. End of 7th month is just 10 Sep 2007 which is 5 more days away from 5 sep. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

However, star 7 will revert back to the robbery status while the luck will also start to fade as the current period 8 luck becomes stronger. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Which of the two is more suitable for a weak wood person? The Childhood Education wood will help a weak wood person. So this is considered favourable. Psychology's water element portion will be also good for weak wood person. The Earth portion from human to human relationship is more wealth to wood. But as a weak wood person, you may not benefit from wealth directly until you have water/wood to strengthen it. In this case, because there is water from psychology it does help to strengthen your weak wood, so the earth portion may become a wealth element for you. Only problem, is it is hard to say how much water it would add so the earth portion may not necessary be that beneficial. So both career aresuitable. Considering the Earth element is a uncertaintyfactor, so I would have to say Childhood education seems more suitable between the two. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I've been told I'm strong Yin Earth, but your report shows I'm weak. Can you explain how, showing the percentages? If the info below is correct, then your percentage is as shown:- Name: Kimmy (Female - 22 Nov 1963) D.O.B: Lunar (1963, 10th month, 7 day) at 3.00 a.m. to 4.59 a.m. Pillar Heavenly Stem (HS) Earthly Branch (EB) Hour Day Month Year Life Conception Element Strength Percentage 2 Water Strongest 25 % 6 Wood Strong 60 % 2 Fire Extremely Weak 5 % 2 Earth Weakest 10 % 0 Metal Weak 0 % You are a weak earth because your favourable elements making you strong is 15% (5 % fire + 10% earth). While your unfavourable elements making you weak is 85% (25% water+ 60% wood). Given the unfavourable elements making weak is so much greater, that is why you are a weak earth and not a strong earth. As a weak earth, fire and earth are you most favourable elements. Metal is favourable for you because you lack 0% but adding metal also weakens your earth. Thus, you only benefit from metal when you boost up your fire and earth. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

I have a dresser with a mirror the only place I can put it is on the wall where the door is, which means it is facing the side of my bed just like the door is. If I move this mirror and put it beside my bed it will face the door to my 1/2 bathroom. One of my dressers is facing the th foot of my bed,the other is facingmy1/2 bathroom.Oh! and did I metion that my closet door is at the foot of my bed aswell. Please tell me what to do, what alternatives do I have. I'm new to Feng Shui and my life has not been the greatest since the day I was born. I'm tired of it and I want it to change. Please help me. I don't want riches, Ijust want tohave a descent life. I'm desperate. As you mentioned, you can't change anything, this means you cannot arrange the furniture. So it is going to be different to suggest anything that might help except maybe to choose the right colour scheme for curtains/bed sheets or even the colour of the bedroom. So check your ba zi element from this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Then pick colour schemes that will bring you luck. Only take note if your favourable colours is Fire (red) / Earth (yellow) as these may create problems for theillness/misfortune starsin the flying star chart of the house. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: could you please explain if the missing corners on the upper floor of a house are as detrimental as missing corners on the ground floor A missing corner is considered when more than 33% of the sector is missing when you view the house from the roof view. I am not extremely supertitious but most people have advised me to avoid such activities duringthe Ghost month. I like to have your advice should i have to takeover the house as the seller has indicated to move out during the 7th month. Yes, it is indeed not really auspicious to take over a house during the chinese 7th month. So if you can avoid it it would be better (ie collect the key after 11 Sep). However, if you really cannot wait until after the 7th month (ie 13 Aug-10 Sep), then at leasttry to choose an auspicious date to minimise any impact:- URL: http://date.geomancy.net In any case, you should avoid moving-in or starting your renovations works during the 7th month. Dear Alex, Alex Chua Kim Soon wrote: Master, Ive found a nice house for me and my wife. The thing is both of us is kua8. The house faces South West. But my master bedroom location is in south. My bed head also can only be placed on the direction of the south east (south east wall in the bedroom) becoz other sides all very inconvenient. What should i do? Alex Please help to advise Generally, the house is suitable to you facing to you. Though the room isn't the best sector. It isn't considered ultimately the most suitable house. However, it is still considered a suitable house. So even if the room is disaster, it won't be too bad as you still get luck from the house facing. Thus, the impact will be lesser. You can still try to fix up other areas of the house, or choose suitable colour scheme so that you can enhance can boost up the luck further. One or two problems does not mean the house is hopeless. It is hard to get a house that is perfect in everyway unless you build your own house. Even then, there will still be some areas that will still be imperfect. Hope that helps. Dear Constance, constance king wrote: hi cecil, i would like to know for wood element with door located at death sector what would be the best thing to do. ( no other door) beside front door. please help and thank you very much. constance Generally, you cannot correct or fix a suitability issue. That is why buying a house that is suitable is the only way you can avoid this problem. As for a wood element person, depending on which sector is your house there is still a house element. For example, North facing is water element. Then if you are a weak Wood, water element will be good. So even if the house id death sector, then it will help to offset some of the inauspicious aspect. The rest, you have to correct or fix other areas in the house. The more leaks you correct, the better the house luck and thus even if the house is not suitable, it will have lesser overall impact. Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: I'm a weak metal person, would it be harmful for me to have an aquarium even though it is for fengshui purposes (i.e. water feature as recommended by Flying Stars chart)? My husband is weak wood, my daughters are strong metal and strong water respectively. Water in general is good for your weak husband. Given he is likely the breadwinner, it will be good for him. Generally, water will exhaust metal so will weaken your weak metal. While, mixed for your daughter as one like water one has too much. But in general, the breadwinner would probably be the most important. A water feature if outside of the house is ok, as it will be more a water feature to activate wealth. However, for within the house, you may want to minimise having to much water feature. A small aquarium is still acceptable if you really like to rear fish, but a big one should be avoided. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

DearToh Kim Hong, Toh kim hong wrote: hello, hi, need some advice fm u. i belong to east group, my wife, son belongs to west group. so which group should i followed. mine or my family .EAST OR WEST. This question has been asked many times. Basically, you should use the give and take method. For breadwinner (yourself), ensure that the house facing is suitable to you so that you enjoy luck from the house facing. For the rest of the family member, you should make sure the rooms are suitable for them to stay in. As they will be getting the luck more from the bedroom. For husband and wife that have opposite Gua (Kua), the breadwinner takes a house facing that is favourable but try to avoid having the wife as death or disaster. And given the breadwinner have a better house facing, then he can give the wife a more suitable room and take on a room that is less suitable. However, should try to avoid death or disaster if possible. If you follow this rules, it will be easy to make sure the house suits everybody. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What happens if we choose a period 7 house facing north but we are also going to undergo some major renovation? Will this house become a period 8 one? If so, will it be suitable for us then? If the renovations are major enough, the house luck is likely to change to a period 8. The house suitability will not change even if the luck period changes. It sounds like you are an East group person, so North or East will generally besuitable for you no matter if the house is period 7 or period 8. However, the luck of the house may change as a North Period 7 and North Period 8 house chart will have different luck. Also, depending on how is the layout of the house, a change to period 8 may or may not be beneficial. This portion depends a lot on how well the period 8 chart can benefit from the layout. My Kua number is 7 is this a suitable falt front door opening direction for me please advise As long the house faces any of the 4 good directions in your eight house, the house is deemed suitable to you. So given gua 7 is West group facing, so SW facing house is good for you. If the house is built after 2004 (period 8 house), the SW facing will have very good feng shui luck compared to other facing direction, but several sectors will need to be balanced else health issues may arise. Dear Ann, ann j wrote: The mother of my friendsuffers from cancer.I had gone through the flying star chart of herhouse built in period 5 with NW1, .Is any star combination of star 9 with star 5 or star 2 in south area or any area suggestive of cancer, please clarify on this and any possible combination suggesting any major illness Though, the house was built in period 5, the house luck would have already slowly flown over to the at least period 7 or even may have flown to the period 8 house luck. But the combination of star 9, star 5 and star 2 is very bad for health related. Star 9 is weak fire, but star 2 strong earth (illness) and strat 5 strong earth (misfortune). This combination is extremely bad for health because weak fire enhances earth in star 2 and 5. If the sector has further fire (red) or earth (yellow) colours, it might worsen the sector. However, generally there maybe other problems together such as bad ba zi healthissue together that makes it worst. You see, often a problem does not just arise from one area. It is a series of problems together that makeitbad. So it take several bad things to be a major problem. So probably the house sector is one, but also the inherient ba zi health issues and probably a bad health period may also be another reason. Try to minimise any further fire or earth elements from making that sector worst. But ultimately, at this point seeking medical help would be the best thing to do for any health related issues. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, my family and I will be moving into a new place soon and is planning to place an aquarium tank as a partition between the main door and the living area. The main door is facing eastwards. Pls advise whether this is fine. Thank you. In general, if you are placing a fish tank for activating auspicious luck, then you need to check whether the sector of the house based on the flying star chart contains the current auspicious water star. For example, if it is a period 8 house, and the sector whereyou place is East, check if the water star 8or water star 9 is present. If so, then it is considered an auspicious sector to have a fish tank. Please use the free flying star chart in our member area to check on this:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net Also, you should check if the breadwinner favours water element. If a weak fire or Strong Water person, then water may not favour them. Therefore, it may not be a good idea to have water features in the house. Again, you can make use of the free ba zi report to determine the breadwinner's ba zi element and favourable elements:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Otherwise, fish tank is usually best placed in living room/study room. But should never be placed in the bedroom. So we do not consider any of the personalised analysis, then it sounds ok to place where you. But better to check the above mentioned reports to confirm if it is indeed beneficial. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Anonymous wrote: Question: Does the inauspicious luck implies that, we have better stayed in what we are doing - rather than, taking risk by starting something new? Generally, this depends on whether you are referring to the 10-yearly/5-yearly/yearly/6-monthly/monthly/daily luck. Even within each group, there is a sub-group of luck. For example, 10-yearly luck will tell only whether a person is a very fortunate person with luck always on his side or a very unfortunate person where you have to work hard for your own success. Even within an inauspicious 10-year luck, there will be some 5-year which is better, there will also be some year which is better than another year. So all depends on how your luck flow looks like. Even during inauspicious luck, there are some years better to career career some years to avoid changing careers.
