Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My son is not doing as he should in school. he is in 11th std.How do i improve his scholastic performance I personally, think that you are setting too high a standard. I won't call 11th student being that bad as compared to last in the class or entire school. However, in terms of feng shui the few things you can do to improve his study are basically:- 1. Try to ensure that he is sitting facing his best direction (ie. Excellent or Prosperity direction). You can make use of this Eight House direction report:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-8h.htm 2. Also, you must take note of where is the direction of the Sun which can adversely influence the a person's concentration. Sometimes if the study room is constantly hit by the sun, it makes the room very warm and if he faces the sun when he study, it might very glaring for him. 3. The last consideration is to enhance your son's element by choosing the right colours in his bedroom. You can use this Ba Zi analysis to check out what colours are good for him and ensure his bedroom decoration is favourable to him. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm The rest will really depend on other factors such as his school environment, and particularly his own personaleffort. Hope that helps. Warmest Reagrds Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Linda, linda bowers wrote: Looking at the wealth of Christmas decoration available, should one use the traditional green fir tree or is it ok to have for instance a white twig tree brightly decorated in your home? This probably seems like a silly question but I don't want to incur any bad luck by a wrong choice! Since Chrismas is usually represented by Green, Red and White, therefore, there isn't much choice opt for other colours that aren't readily available. Anyway, the choice of the tree colour or decoration won't really affect your feng shui, furthermore it is only for that season (ie temporarily). It is just one of the holidays, where everyone celebrate. Any holiday or event that is worth celebrating will in fact be good for the entire family. So really no need to worry so much. Feng Shui is all about creating harmony and as long as the major problems or issues are corrected, then other minor issues or temporarily additions are entirely ok. Hope that helps. Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Oh, my head is spinning! How easy for you and hard for me (with my western brain) to understand. Please bear with me....so - or + does not indicate weak or strong rather yin or yang, correct? If this is so, then how it is determined whether a person is weak or strong whatever? Would it be the over abundance or lack of a particular element in the total ba zi? - is actually for yin, while + is for yang. It has never been associated with weak or strong. Ba zi is a complex shool, that is why we have theonline analysis which determine for you whether you are weak or strong without worrying about the technicalities. All I can tell you is that to get a really accurate breakdown, lots of factors has be considered. Anyway, most people do not really need to bother about what goes behind the analysis. What is most important is for you to understand how to use the final information ie what element you are, and what elements favours you and how the five element relate to practical situation etc. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET-Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Oliv, Oliv Sullivan wrote: Quote: Robert Lee wrote: That is generally the case. Weak element person tends to be at a disadvantage because he will need to first be strong before you can even benefit from your wealth element Why would you not try to enhance the weak element? I ask this after looking at my own heavenly and earthly branches provided in this website. I have weak earth in heavenly hour and day as well as in earthly hour yet the unfavorable colors and elements listed for me are yellow and gold. Is this prehaps because enhancing weak earth would weaken the strong things in my branches (Kan water, heavenly month = +wood, heavenly yr = +metal, earthly month = +metal and earthly yr =+wood)?I'm trying to see how this all relates to the productive, destructive and reductive cycles. Sorry, I believe you are confused here. 1. When I talk about weak or strong, I am refering to the fact that a person is weak wood or strong wood. weak wood person tends to be at a slight disadvantage compared to a strong wood person. I was also mentioning that a weak wood, will need to strengthen your weak wood to take advanage of the wealth. Whereas, for a Strong Wood, he has the advantage of controlling his wealth immediately, but must be careful about being overally strong. However, the same for the Strong wood person will tends to have more health issues or very unbalanced chart which tends to show more health issue or lacking in certain type of characteristics or ten deities. 2. From you current posting, you seems to be talking more about the individual elements within the chart (ie heavenly stem element, earthly branch element etc). Furthermore, it seems that you are assuming that the + (yang) elements state = Strong, whereas - (yin) elements state = weak. Which is absolutely wrong assumption. All elements in the very default productive and destructivestate does not really assume a weak or strong nature, but rather that the elements are of the same state ie. either all weak or all strong:- 1. FIVE ELEMENT Productive Cycle: a. weak metal - There can be 4 state altogether:- a. lesser Yin (weak) b. greater Yin (strong) c. lesser Yang (weak) d. greater Yang (strong) Therefore, it is absolutely wrong toassume yin = weak and yang = strong. This is the same as people commonly assuming that just because they are yin Pig, they are automatically a weak Pig. Furthermore, for all the element in the ba zi chart there is not just weak or strong, but rather five different states. All determined from other factors in the ba zi. What is important ultimately is the final element that you are determined (ie weak water), then followed by the percentage of each element you have at the time of birth. Hope that helps. Generally, a sword has very strong sha qi. Usually, it is used to counter very bad sha qi. So of course if you can, try not to display it. if you want to display at least it must be kept in a see through cabinet. Everyone has their own personal intutition which is very strong actually. Dear Oliv Sullivan, Oliv Sullivan wrote: I'm not sure how to ask this next question.....where are the other elements in the chart? In the example given, the year born is Water, the hour is Strong Metal. Where do the other elements come from? In your ba zi, there are 4 main pillars and 2 addiitonal house pillar. Total 6 pillars each with Heavenly Stem and Earthly branch making 12 different signs. The elements are found mainly from these elements. That is why different people have different luck. Oliv Sullivan wrote: Also, am I correct that a weak element is actually more unfavorable and in need of assistance than a strong element? That is generally the case. Dear Vibecke, Vibecke Stensland wrote: We have problems with one of our neighbours. We are located atthe end of a dead end road. Our neighbours are make our life very difficult. We have a big fight with them. What can we do to neutralize this problem. Feng Shui is by no means a miracle cure to all problems, especially not in people to people relationship which is related to Human Luck. In terms of feng shui, areas relating to quarrels/conflict are star 3 in the flying star chart especially near your frontage or main door. If there are any, you can try to reduce it by having Metal to control the sector, or Fire to exhaust the star if there are no Star 2/5. You can use the free flying star report to assess your home in the members area:- URL: http://login.geomancy.net However, as mentioned people to people relationship will need more practical approach, ie being more tolerant to each other so that conflicts are reduced. And/or finding why the reasons why the quarrels start so that you can attempt to see what you can do to resolve it. Probably a good talk or get some mediator to help, would be more practical than using feng shui. As no matter what you do in your own home, it will not just change your neighbour attitude. I am Monkey(29/091980) and husband-to-be is Tiger(27/041974).I have visited a FengShui Master some time back but he has not caution us in details. Generally, though Tiger and Monkey signs are incompatible. However, human relationship is complex and if two persons are willing to give and take a little, and with lots of love differences can always be work out and relationship can last a long time. In our website, we will never tell you that two of you are incompatible etc. As this will only create additional fear on your end, and because you so believe it, you actually make it happen. I always believe that in relationship, it takes two person to make it work. Also, there will always be ways to harmonise two different animal sign especially each animal sign will have a particular element. ie weak water Monkey vs weak wood Tiger (for example), if you have more water it helps to harmonise and improve the relationship. So rather than believe in bad things will happen because of the clash, find ways to work out the difference and improve your human luck. ie have more activities together to create better relationship etc. These will all be better than worrying about bad things based on prediction. Dear Ng Chiew Kiat, I believe you are trying to ask whether you can just enter the date of birth of the club in the ba zi report, am I right? Well, not really. The ba zi is for pesonal luck, you cannot use it in the same way for the establishment of a business or club. Though, it was a really good way of looking at it. But it will not work that way. You can only assess the feng shui but not the luck of the business/club/establishment. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Could not find any discussion on traveling in different directions and how that effects us. Specifically traveling to country or a city which is in direction of ones death direction. Generally, most people do use this travelling information in this way. I mean to get from one place to another by car or plan, there can only be a certain direction you can travel. So if you follow it strictly like South is Death, that means you completely avoid South. But what if South is the only way to get to your destination? So this is not practical and that is why you do not see anyone following this strictly by the book. Furthermore, for the Eight House direction such as Death or Diaster or any of the 4 good and bad direction. It is used more for permanent placement for desk/office/bed etc and used more commonly in micro level (ie smaller scale application within the room or office. We do not use it in the macro level like travelling. Even in the Ba Zi element and direction. Say you are a weak Wood person, and Water element (North is better). It will denote that staying say in the Northern country in the World map would be better than say staying in Southern country in the World map. Or say in Singapore. Staying in North (ie Yishun) might be better than say South (City). This is what most people use the direction. Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: Would you be kind enough to help me with the following? Myfavorable directions are East, SE and N. I need a garageand the only garage available right now is a garage facing East as I am drivingINTO the garage. By the way, does this mean it is WEST facing? Also, the Garage number is 4. In the U.S. it sounds similar to the chinese pronounciation, is this correct? Generally, a garage isn't really part of a house. So it can be built separately or added on, but the entry or direction of the garage will not replace the facing of the house. So it really does not matter if it is not possible to enter into the garage from a good direction. Back to your question, facing of the house or garage should be considered from inside the garage looking outwards. That means if your garage faces East, you drive in to the garage West. This is similiar to a house if your hosue face East, whenyou look outwards from the house it should face East. It does not mean it is West facing just because you drive in from the West. As for the number of the house, how good or bad depends a lot on the individual. Some people have lucky number that is 4, others hate it because it sounds like Death in cantonese. So it really up to the individual. No right or wrong answer for this. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Carlo, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I'm confused about the best sleeping position. In the free reports, thebest sleep position looksdifferent from the best work or study position. So, for sleeping I have to have the best direction for me behind my head when laying down on my bed? It looks like you have to face in the opposite direction. Is this correct? For the other positions (work, study), itlooks like you have to have your head facing towards your best direction. Is this also correct? Yes, sleeping position is where say East is Longevity, your head should point to East and your feed point opposite in the West. This is because you are sleeping so your head should be pointed to the better direction. For study or work position, since you sit upright and work, you work facing your good direction. Thus, if East is your Prosperity, then you sit facing Eastwards, with your back facing West. Anonymous wrote: Sometimes I have bad headaches. Right now I have one, it's almost unbearable that I want to hurry up and finish typing this so that I cango lay down and rest. Would it be better in my case to lie down with my health direction (East)? (actually, in this case my health direction is one of my best sleeping, I'm not sure if that's the case for everyone?).The other best sleeping direction for me is South (longevity). Right now my bed is more aligned with South, to sleep with East I would have to rearrange my bed I think. Yes, this would be recommended if possible. Also, sometimes certain sector has too much Illness and misfortune star (ie star 2/5 under th flying star). This creates too much Earth influence which cause illness. So some way to balance is keep the room in White colour. Other method which employes the use of technology or therapy would be:- ie. Sometimes, headaches can be caused because of blood not flowing properly to your head when you sleep. So a good pillow can help you. Try looking for those Tempur pillow (it can be a expensive), but it is proven to give you a good night rest and because of the material and being able to balance you head properly, it improves your blood circulation in your head.Often, this is onereason for frequent headaches. ie. Other method is some peopletends to relax better or sleep better some some aroma therapy. ie. Of course if you frequently do have headaches, it can also be due to other medical problems which you better seek advise from a doctor to check out and help you. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: a weak yang water person with 4 fire in his four pillars and married to a strong yang wood and having 4 wood element in the chart and havetwo daughter have 3earth element and 1 daughter have 4 earth element in their chart. As wood produce fire, will it be too strong the fire is especially 2006 is year of fire. How to overcome this. Frankly, it is not really correct for you to relate the number of earth element present in someone else chart, to add that to your own chart. It does not work that way. The number of elements in individual person chart, is used to asses whether he is weak or strong person of a particular element. ie if he is a wood person, the number of elements in his chart helps to assess whether he is weak wood or strong wood. When you compare to another person, what is used is the final element and strength of that person ie he is a weak wood rat person. Thus, it will be this weak wood rat person that will be used to compare to yourself. ie a weak wood rat person compared to another strong fire pig person. In your case, a weak water person compared to a Strong Wood person. Then the pairing isn't that good for both party unless there is Metal element to act as a element to harmonise and improve the relationship. This is the solution and not say having too much fire element in the other person individual chart. Individually, his or her element will lack certain element and that is enhanced through having more of certain colour from his clothings etc. That will improvethe missing elements or deities that help a person becomewell-balanced.You can refer to this link for five element and relationship. Without seeing the diagram, it can bedifficult for me to confirm, but your facing be taken from your main door ie 90 degree. Do most people really have the time and effort towant to apply monthly or even daily flying star changes? Most people will at most practice until the yearlyflying star change, since the effect of the yearly star last for that entire year. But to apply feng shui changes every month just for the slight change inthe luck for that month. Ireally don't think that people shouldfollow feng shuiso strictly by the book. Feng Shui is supposedbe a install and forget type of scenario. ie install the basic changes and cures for the home, then forget about it and carry on with your own life and work. One should not just eat and sleep on every small bit if feng shui error. There is no way that one can have 100% perfection when it comes to feng shui.
