Dear Kian Yuk, kian yuk wrote: we live in a house facing northeast(kun house), but all of us having the same Gua 9 opposing with our house. we do not know what to do or how to recognise auspicious and inauspicous directions of the house. Unfortunately, for a unsuitable house there is very little you can do to correct the suitability unless you can change your main door or facing direction. Usually, if the house falls under death or disaster for both person or at least for the breadwinner, the long term solution is to move out to a more suitable house, otherwise it is very difficult for you to enjoy the full amount of luck from the house. I know that moving out is the hardest thing as a house is not a cheap investment to just get rid of. So probably the few things you can do is to ensure that you identify whether ther are any other leaks in the home and attempt to correct whatever you can. This link contains a few key checks to check. URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Usually, if your bedroom is at least located in a better sector more favourable to you or at least the house facing is of an element favourable to your ba zi, it might help to offset some of the inauspicious aspect. We have lots of tools on our website, use it to check the house luck, ba zi luck and element. Whatever you can correct or fix up will help you for the time being. As I am going overseas tomorrow, may not be able to credit some free paid credits for you to do some self evaluation, if you can wait till I am back, drop me an e-mail at support@geomancy.netwith reference to this post. But anyway, based on what you have written, the shape and form placement of the bed where you can view the door and not have the window directly behind you is much better location. In this case, you can ignore the best sleeping position. The only thing if the bed is double, then ensure you sleep closer to the side the of the bed which falls under the more favourable sector. As well as enhance the room with more favourable element to your ba zi to help offset any inauspicious influence that you are not able to resolve such as the sleeping position. Hope that helps. Generally, there is really no issue on this. You can place it anywhere in the living room area and it will not really affect the feng shui simply because this is just a temporarily decoration for that season only. 6. Dear Angela, Angela Le wrote: I have a house, but unfortunately a new house is being built across from mine. I thought about putting a small concrete fence about knee or waist high in front of my yard. However, I can only do it partially because my car garage is in the front. Therefore, what can I do? Should I use a bau qua and if so, how? What about plants and where? I know I can notput a tree in front of the yard because it will block my main door, but should I put one anyway, but just away from the main door? Of course, if you can put a fence to help block the corner, that would be best. If not do what you can with the fence, and probably add a bagua mirror to deflect the Sha Qi back. You will still need the mirror whether or not the new house was built simply because the curved corner of the road is the other major sha qi that cuts into your home. So the bagua would probably be the only way to help you on this problem. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  7. Dear Aileen, aileen tan wrote: After using the Free House number report provided at your website, i was rather affected by the results. I was "told" that the house number of the new flat that I had bought is unlucky. Quote: My house number is 08-222 81 Interpretation [5] & [3] - Conflict of Star 5 with Star 3. Lost of Wealth, injuries which could lead to death. Is this report 100% accurate? Does the house number really affect the feng shui of the house and the life of its owner? Can seeing a geomancer help to ward off any bad luck pertaining from the number? Husband and I are really worried. The apartment number report is to help you determine whether a house number is auspicious or not. It bases on the flying star vertical analysis. ie it is said that an apartment located on different level will each have different luck. Thus, the main goal of that analysis is simply to show whether say unit 7 compare to say unit 8, which is better. This is useful when you are hunting for a house and found a layout you like but located on different level. Then this report can be used to determine which is better. As for the interpretation, this is taken from the 81 unique interaction between the flying star to help assess each sector of the house. It will hold true only in the flying star analysis where you can actually determine the mountain and water star. For a house number, the description does not really hold true. You only need to know that this unit number is considered inauspicious compared to say a higher or lower unit in your block with the same layout as you (ie 07-222 or 06-222 might have a better orworstluck then yours). So don't need to worry to much. Whether or not your house is good or bad depends more on your external and internal feng shui of the house and not the house number. So focus on correcting or harmonising the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  8. Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: Please help! I am moving into an apartment in which the stove is across from the sink. The front door and bedroom are in my favorable directions and I will also be sleeping with my head pointing in a good direction...but I'm worried about that the placement of my sink and stove will cause problems for me. Is it true that if I place something green in between them that it will help. What is your expert recommendation? Frankly, in our modern society due to land space being very precious, it is inevitable that houses tend to be build that are smaller and thus, not allowing you to have much options to place them as and where you want to. Like I always mentioned, you should always correct whatever flaws that you are able to in order to offset whatever that you are not able to correct. Yes, it might seem that a stove facing a sink is inauspicious due to Water and Fire clash, but were you are not able to move it to another location, it leaves very little other thing you can do to correct it. One way to reduce the clash, is simply to put a circular mirror magnet on the fridge door so that it will reflect the Qi and reduce the clash between the stove and sink. Anyway, though stove facing sink isn't ideal, however, it isn't the worst problem to have in a home. It would be even worst, if your home is unsuitable to you etc. One must always look at the overall picture, just like taking an exam. Is the clash between the sink and stove going to hurt your overall exam score? If it is, then it is a great problem. If it is only going to reduce a few points, it is not really going to matter as much compared to a major problem. The goal is to attain maximium score by fixing all possible leaks that is present, then work on the minor leaks. As long as all the major leaks are corrected or not present, even if there are one or two flaws remaining, that wil not cause you major problems. A major problem occurs when many factors are not in your favour. Anyway, this problem can be easily corrected or reduced by placing a small circular mirror on the fridge to reflect the stove image back. Hope that helps. 9. Dear Shawn, Shawn lim wrote: The lucky/unfavourable colours are mentioned in mostly primary colours - red, yellow, blue etc. Yes, this is because these colours are the key colours that make up the other secondary colours. Shawn lim wrote: Orange, pink (fire/earth), purple/plums, copper (reddish) and grey.I am a bit confused about the colourbrown. Some say it is earth colour while others say its wood. which is it? Frankly, for secondary colour, it is harder to define due to the fact that if the colour is lighter/darker the element can be different. Orange for example, if light orange more ie more towards like gold colour, it is made up of more Yellow (earth) than Red (Fire), so more likely Earth element or we call Earth with some Fire (ie Earth-Fire). If dark oranage more, it is made up of more Red (Fire) than Yellow (Earth) so more likely Fire element or we call Fire with some Earth (ie Fire-Earth). So same goes for the other colours you mentioned:- light purple = More blue than red (Water-Fire) dark purple = More red than blue (Fire-Water) copper (reddish) = Material is Metal, while if more dark reddish is Red, if more yellowish is Earth. light grey = Metal, dark gray = Water. So all depends on how dark or light the tone. Brown for example same thing. dark brown is Wood, light brown can be Earth. Shawn lim wrote: 2) can some colours be used to energise/activate lucky colours eg. Shawn lim wrote: for a person needing earth elements can he add Red cushionsin a yellow room to further energise the earth element or wear a splash of red along with a yellow shirt. For colours, it is always best to have two or better still three colour tone. Two colour tone normally ie Metal-Water, Water-Wood, Wood-Fire, Fire-Earth, Earth-Metal. Three tone colour normally ie. Metal-Water-Wood, Water-Wood-Fire, Wood-Fire-Earth, Fire-Earth-Metal, Earth-Metal-Water etc. So as long as you do that it enhance and balance each other to create a harmonious flow. Hope that helps. I am now in the starting stage of building a home, and I am using the feng shui method. My bedroom has been placed in the South Location, my front door Faces West, My office is located on the West area, Master bath on the SE location. Kitchen is on the East, Laundry on the NE, Formal Dining room is on the NW, and this home slopes on the South East corner so they are giving me a walk out basement. Can you tell me if this is correct on the positioning of the room? I appreciate your help. Thanks, Maria Based on your post, I would strong recommend that you get professional help to really plan and advise you as eventhough theremay be free tools on our website that you can use. It is not really easy for you to know theory has great priority over the other. The problem you probably have right now is that, based on the Ba Zi analysis, you aredetermined to be a certain element and thus the ba zielement and direction, does notseem to tally or match the Eight Houseanalysis which only determine suitability. ie. Eight House does avery simple but effective analysisusingyourYEAR of birth. And it gives you 4 good and 4 bad direction. This concept is used only in small or micro levelusage. ie.Ba Ziis more detailedwhich uses year, month, day, & time of birth. However, the direction here is more applied to larger or macro level analysis. It is hard for both theories to give you the same reading as they are analysed on different information. So because of that, of course it makes it difficult to know which to follow. And that is why priorizing which theory and what is more important will come in. Unfortunately, unless you know all the concepts and what and why they are used in detail, it is hard for most people to be able to tell what comes first and what comes next. Thus, I am not at all surprised why you have difficulty to apply. Which is why I strongly recommend that you probably get professional help to advise you rather than to work it out yourself. 15. Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: As toilet is not an ideal location next to the main entrance. If the kitchen location is next to the main entrance but there isn't toilet attached to it.. Is it okay. Generally, the reason why toilet next to the main door is the more major concern are two factors:- 1. The toilet bowl is where largest amount of waste and water leaks out of the house. 2. The toilet is also dirty and tends to have bad smell. So logically, if it is near your main door, even when guest enter into the house they will have to pass by the toilet, which isn't really that nice smell nor good. So imagine Qi enter into the house, the first thing is it is dirtied by the air from the toilet. How good is it? The kitchen is less of an issue as it is not really a dirty location, though I see where you are coming from where the kitchen as sink which might also have wealth leak. But on the other hand, the Kitchen does not just contain the sink, it also have the stove which provides for the family. So if it is located at the main door and it is a good location, you will be having not just a good house facing but a good kitchen location which symbolise wealth. So kitchen in generally cannot be compared in the same way as a toilet. As such, there is no real concern about a kitchen to be located near the front door as compared to a toilet. Hope that helps. Generally, you have to find ways to control your excess fire. As a Strong fire, Earth, Metal and Wood are generall favourable elements for you. So under feng shui, if you can more areas in your life that is Earth, Metal and Wood, it will help you balance up your excess fire. You can refer to this link for the various five element and relationship:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net As for your husband working in the bedroom, maybe you can just talk to him and see how you can work an acceptable compromise. ie if he needs to work too late, maybe work in the study or living room. If this is bothering you, then you should discuss and try to work out an arrangement that will be acceptable to both parties. Anonymous wrote: Also, things are not going smoothly for me at work. To make matters worst, there is a pantry with sink, microwave oven and fridge just behind my work cubicle. Usually, where it comes to career not smooth etc, sometimes you have to check your ba zi luck in greater detail. There might be a possibility that the career is not favourable for you, or that you lack lots of a certain element so being unbalanced. Usually, when a person is unbalanced, things may not go in his favour. As for the sitting location. If there is at least a partition blocking you, then it should not be as bad as if you cannot see it directly, it is not a major threat. For office, unfortunately, there is very little one can do especially, if you are not a key person in the company (ie have your own personal room etc). Usually, most work space are shared so very difficult to correct or relocate. So you can only work on other areas such as wearing more favourable colour,or other areas within your control ie your own home etc. I would say that at this point probably working to balance up your element will help you as well as to try to work out something so that you can get better rest. Will it affact the breadwinner and which door should consider as door facing? Is NE or South? Frankly, nowadays, irregardless of main door or balcony etc. Both can also be closed for some homes or offices that uses air-cond. However, that is why the main entrance where you enter in and out is still often the ideal direction where Qi will enter, as you will have to enter into the house at one time or another. Generally, that is still where Qi will enter into the house especially, when you enter or exit the house. The other is usually the balcony or living room direction. What is important in determining which is the right facing. We have come up with the following breakdown:- 1. For landed property - best to take the facing of the house (not necessary the actual main door). 2. For apartment (2nd-7th level) - best to take the main door, this is because for lower floors, the tendency for trees or opposite building to block the Qi is higher, so better to take the main door where you enter in and out of the house. 3. For apartment (8th and up) - best to take the facing from the living room/balcony because the view or Qi is unblocked and more likely to enter from the living room and balcony area. Though, Qi enters from the main door as well, but greater qi is likely to enter from the living room/balcony. Hope that helps. If it does not face your home directly, then it isn't too bad. Furthermore, you have to consider the distance. If it is fairly far away from you, then it will not affect you as much. Some of the ways to block is to have some plants to act like a partition between the stairs and the door, or to install a metal gate with a portion of the bottom half covered. The Base Star of my main door is #2, year #7, month 2 and combine of Star #8 and #5, how to know whether this sector is good or bad to us? Anyway, how to cure it if bad to us? Basically, to fully understand the flying star you will need to understand the many concepts involved, ie the element compatibility and overall balance of the sector. Which is can be very complicated for most layman. Anyway, most people don't really need to worry about that. If you used our free flying star chart, everything is basically colour coded. The numbers in red are inauspicious, the numbers in blue are auspicious, while number in black is average. URL: http://login.geomancy.net So the more red colours numbers in the same sector, that will normally mean a very unbalanced and inauspicious sector. Anyway, I can tell you that in most flying star analysis, for most end users to make use, what you want to look out for are the problematicstars like Star 2/5 (which is illness/misfortune star), and star 3 (conflict/quarrels), star 4 (romance/scandals), star 7 especially not in period 7 (robbery star). Most of the time, these stars depending on which period, are theproblematic stars that most people are concerned with. Though, it might look complicated, I can tell you that you will find that most cures or balances are just to balance or neutralise the bad stars and avoid activating it. And you will find that Metal cures are almost always recommended simply because it can control star 2/5 and destroy star 3/4. So the safest colour for the house is always to keep it netural is white (metal). This helps to balance up the house, and it is also for practical reasons. White makes the room bright which is better than dark colours. As long as you keep to this, you will be safe even if you are not 100% sure how to interpret the chart. Where in doubt, it is best you get professional help to assist you to avoid getting it wrong. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

In your service, your website states that I would be most compatible with someone whose sign isa Pig, Horse or a Rabbit...Well I'm starting to date someone who isa Horse sign but his kua # is 7 - west and I am east! Isn't this a direct conflict? How can such a relationship work? Please explain. Please avoid confusing yourself by relating different concepts together. ie Compatibility & Eight House are different. When we check compatibility between two persons, we are looking to ensure that two persons do not conflict with one another especially in terms of personality or personal characteristics. Two person can be compatible, but have different directions that he or she likes or dislike. Just like one person can be a weak water, another can be strong metal and be compatible. However, that does not mean that they both have to share the same facing direction or suitability to be considered compatible. Each person will have their own different facing and directions. That does not mean that they are not compatible. You are attempting to use the fact that one is East group and West group to determine that they are incompatible. But all that does is just mean that the individual person have different directions or position favourable to them. Nothing more. Each peson having different direction does not conflict them in anyway. In a room or layout, it is often that there will be certain direction that one will favour etc.To have eight house direction opposite is very common, but it does not mean that they are incompatible. You are likecomparing anApple (iedirection suitabilty) to an orange (ie personalcompatibility). Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
  23. Dear Asher, Anonymous wrote: My husband and I belong to the East Group but I read that the North-East and South-West facing houses are very good in the Period 8. In this case, should we look for a house based on the Eight Mansions or can we choose one that faces the North-East or South-West too? Thanks! Ideally, it would be good to have both the Flying Star Feng Shui (ie North-East/South-West) and your Eight House suitable ie (Prosperity, Excellent etc). However, for most people sometimes the flying star feng shui may be good but it does not suit them ie (death or disaster), then looking for a more suitable home with less flying star feng shui would be better. The reason for this is because, flying star feng shui can still be corrected but a house suitability cannot. Also, how good a house does not just depend on the flying star chart, the better house depends on the exterior location that will usually determine if your house is overall good or not. So I would say that as long as the house isn't a Death or Disaster suitability, then most houses can be considered even if it is your spook or irritation. However, ideally, you want both the suitability and house to be good. Where you cannot, then you just need to like average it out. For houses where it does not fit your best house facing, you need to compromise by ensuring that there is a suitable bedroom to ensure that you can still draw luck from the bedroom. The one thing I can tell you for sure, is that it is virtually impossible to buy a house that has zero feng shui flaws. Unless you choose your own plot of land and build the house yourself. For most pre-built house, it is not possible to have absolutely no flaws. But the most important is always the external & interior shapes and form of the houset, followed by suitability of the house and last to enhance the house. So even if there are a few minor faults it will be offset by the major advantages etc. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Thus, often it is better to have roofs that are Red colour. For this, cream colour should be avoided. White colour (metal) is better. Sage Green is ok, but soft beige should be avoided. Hope that helps.
