Dear Karine, Karine Saint -louis wrote: here is my question: I was born 03/01/1977 at 2.50 am in Paris (France). My questions is when do you think is the best month for me to get pregnant ? However, you can always check up the best months from your bazi. However, can I confirm whether your date 3/1/1977 is it 1 Mar 1977 or 3 Jan 1977? Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: To analyze a house number, should I enter the lot number first followed by the street number (e.g., 23-2210)? I am searching for a brand new home inNorth Carolina and found 4 lots (2 facing North and the other 2 facing South). The first North lot number is 23 and the street number is 2210. The second North lot number is 21 and the street number is 2222. Please tell me if they both have bad analysis so I can look for another home builder. The House Number we have on our website, is designed more towards Flats or Apartments within a Condo which has unit number in the format of ie #01-11 etc. This was to allow users to determine whether say a 5th level unit is better than 6th level unit etc. There isn't any analysis for a house number based on street number and lot number. It all depends on individual. There are lots of different way to check if a number is auspicious or not. Frankly, for checking such analysis based on your feng shui. I would advise using the Gua Number as to check. ie if you are Gua 1. Then make sure the number added up gives you 1. ie 2222 = 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8. So this kind number will suit you. Another method will be go for any nice meaning or by sound ie people like to go for 8 or 6 because 8 is Fa (Prosper) or6 sounds like Luck. The most important ultimately is the plot of land itself and the external factor. You should make sure that the plot of land is good first then when there is a choice of two different house number then decide which you like better.I can tell you thatluck of the house itself is much more important than the house number. So priority should go to getting the best location first. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Rachel, Rachel Rachel wrote: Hi, I'm a weak metal person, and my Bazi lucky elements are metal and earth. Unfortunately, a weak person tends to have a slight disadvantage compared to a strong person especially relating to the wealth element. Wealth element is the element your element destroy. So for a weak Metal, Wood is your wealth element. But unless you are strong enough, you cannot effectively control your wealth. Thus, that means that in order to be able to take advantage of your wealth, you first need to make your weak metal stronger. Only then can you benefit from your wealth element. That is the reason why Career with wealth isn't something you benefit. Rachel Rachel wrote: 1) Fire career is completely unsuitable for me. Rachel Rachel wrote: 2) Wood careers are not recommended for me unless I'm in close contact with earth all the time. Career with power and authority is always the element which destroy you. Just like the career with wealth, these career does not benefit you unless you are strong enough to control it. Rachel Rachel wrote: I don't understand the report at all. Why is fire career not suitable for me, even though it is my with Power + Authority career element? Please explain this for me Master Lee. This is very simple. A weak Metal person. Earth and Metal are your favourable element. Wood (Wealth - your career with wealth) desotry your Earth. While Fire (your career with power and authority) doestroy your Metal. These two careers though are your Career with Wealth and Power and Authority actually makes you weaker. They are extremely beneficial for a Strong Metal, but not a weak Metal person. That is why you need to have lots of Earth especially in order to benefit from such a career. As Earth element makes you a weak Metal strongest, it does becomes your most favourable career where possible. Next will come Metal element careers. But where possible, ideally you should go for Earth element careers first because these career is most effective at making your weak metal stronger. Rachel Rachel wrote: Also, since my Bazi lucky elements are earth and metal, why doesn't my career report mention that I should work in a metal-related profession? In your opinion, Master Lee, do you think I should consider working in a metal profession such as politics, banking, etc.?? As mentioned, the report is catered to identifying which career belongs to career with wealth, which belongs to career with power and authority. Followed by the most suitable career which is Earth in your case. Metal is acceptable, just that it is not as effective as Earth, thus wasn't listed. Anyway, you can get this five element and career list from the follows:- URL: http://talk.geomancy.net Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee Geomancy.Net - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I've read from this website that it is the worst when toilets are located in the NE. Our 2 toilets (in master bedroom and kitchen) are in the NE sector of the house. How to cure the bad sha qi? Actually, to me more exact, toilets are bad if they are found exactly at the true North-East (exactly falling at the 45 degree angle). One should always remember, that a house luck consists of many factors ie luck from the surrounding, luck from the flying star luck of the home itself, shapes and form arrangement of furnitures within the hom etc. It is virtually impossible to get house with zero faults at all. There will be some minor faults in almost all home. What is important is to remember that whatever you can fix, you should correct them. Whatever, that you can't correct, then you just have to ensure that other areas are corrected to minimise the influence. In this, case there is very little you can do to move the toilet to a different location. So at most you can do if any is to ensure that you minise the leak from the toilet ie keep the toilet bowl cover close when not in use. The traditional solution would be to have like the hulu to attempt to trap some of the wealth before it leaks out. That is about all you can do for this particular problem. But I would advise you to focus on fixing or correcting any other flaws. This one issues alone will not make your home completely bad. Hope that helps. Thks to you and Master Cecil. Good to hear that everything is improving. Sophia Chia wrote: He loves collecting figurines/statues and before buying he is very cautious about it, as now he believe in feng shui. Thanks to feng shui. He is now in HongKong and wanted to buy the following:- If your husband love figurines/statuesas a hobby, there should not be an issue collecting it. Just as long as he understands that these items are more of art work rather than having any special feng shui "properties". Only caution is whenever any items that is fierce looking (ie dragon/tiger etc), should avoid displaying too many of them. If really want to keep or display it should be kept in a display that can be closed or covered when no guest are around. This is because, we have seen cases where a husband likes collecting figurines such that his entire living contains lots of figurines displays that are very strong or yang related. This can cause a lot of great uneasinessand health issues. So when it comes to figurines or display, best to exercise some degree of caution especially what can be displayed openly what not to. Sophia Chia wrote: (i) Kuan Kong riding a horse(a victory horse) have not seen it before. Sophia Chia wrote: (ii) The metal hulu as it remind him of theflying star that needs metal to the particular location (as he is more concern to the sickness location). Frankly, Kuan Kong (Guan Kong) riding a horse is a common work of art in Chinese history as he was a warrior that supposed to have won many histories. So to the Chinese it symbolise Victory and most people tend to like him there as a protection purpose. Remember, these are all ultimately believes. As for the Hulu, basically an ordinary hulu will be sufficient. For mental solutions, best to keep the room painted white (metal) will be more effective. As mentioned, if your husband collect items for his own hobby that is fine. But to use them as a feng shui cure, that will not be correct as true feng shui isn't about items. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Before I discovered your site, I checked on Chinese astrology web sites. They say that my lucky elements are male earth, female earth, male metal, female metal and female wood. I sampled your free personalized report and it says that I am a weak wood and my suitable careers belong to water and wood. I should not go on metal and fire careers. If it's not too much to ask, will you enlighten me on this. Many thanks. Firstly, you should always remember, that though Chinese Horoscope and Feng Shui have some areas in common, they are still ultimately two different concepts. Chinese Horoscopes is most commonly analysed based only on your year of birth. Like if you are born in year of Dragon, then you are a particular element Dragon based on that year. ie Metal Dragon if you born in1940, or Water Dragon if you are born in 1952. This means that everyone born in the same year will be considered that element. Feng Shui especially the use of Ba Zi feng shui is commonly analysing your element based on the day and month of birth. This means that if you are born in 1952. You are still a Water Dragon (based on the year of the ba zi element). However, more accurately, within a year there can be a weak water/strong water, weak wood/strong wood etc. This means that if based on the day of birth, you might be a weak Wood person born in a Water Dragon year. Thus, this analysis gives you a much more accurate breakdown of your element. This is why in our website to determne the type of element, we use Ba Zi analysis. This gives the best and most accurate analysis of your element. As it different people born in the same year has a different birth element. Once you understand this difference, you will know why our analysis has defined you as a weak wood person. Since the ba zi is better and more accurate at determining your element, thus the analysis on the career suitability will also be more accurate than using the year of birth that the Chinese Horosope commonly base on. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Chong Boon Soon, Chong Boon Soon wrote: What is youradvise ifa house has a period 8 setting (which is good for 20 years beginning 2004) but also has a unfavourable influences such as facing T or Y? External Shapes and Form influence will always have more impact to an home compared to flying star or eight house influence. A house with good external shapes and form feng shui is a house is the key to enjoying a quantum leap in feng shui. That is why we keep stressing that a good house begins from the external environment. A house with good flying star feng shui only deals with luck within the four walls of your home. No matter how much you enjoy the luck, the luck from the external factors remain the same. As such to answer your question. It is not advisable to get the home, because the external T and Y factor will still create a sha qi to your home. Thereby reducing the overall luck that you might enjoy. Chong Boon Soon wrote: Can the good factor of period 8 overcome the unfavourable influences? If yes, does it mean it will last onlyfor 20 years? You see a 20-year chart of a house, does not really last 20-years only. It will continue to last as long as you do not make a major renovation after the 20-year year to convert the home to the new house luck period. Say your external factors not so good. Lets assume this makes your overall house luck 60%. A good flying star house luck will mean you might be able to enjoy upto 90%-100% of the entire 60% luck. That is about it. It will not enhance your house luck to enjoy more than the 60% influence. Say a flying star house luck is bad, this means out of the 60% luck maybe you can only enjoy 20-30% luck. So the answer to your question is that, with a good flying star house luck, you can only enjoy whatever luck is available to you after you consider the external factor influence. You can never expect to improve the house to compensate for the flaws from the external factors. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Frankly, to help everyone avoid the many confusions about the facing direction of the house, we have came up with these very clear definition to follow:- 1. For Landed Property, the facing direction of the house is the frontage of the house where the house building faces. Stand at the frontage of your home, take a reading looking outwards. 2. For apartments (2nd - 7th storey), take the main door direction of the house. Stand at the main door inside the house and take a compass reading looking out of the house. 3. For apartments (8th stoery and above), takethe facining direction of the house from the balcony / living room. Stand at the balcony or living room looking outwards. Take a compass reading and this will be your facing direction. These method allows you to apply macro flying star analysis to your home. The centerpoint analysis is not wrong except that it apply to only micro flying star which only analyses the interior of the home. We find that most people end up have some trouble to determine the main door properly because of some restrictions in using this kind of anlaysis for some layout. There are many different frontages for a home, getting the right one can sometimes be difficult for most users. As such, if you follow the above guideline, you should easily and clearly be able to get the right kind of facing for your home. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I had generated the 8 house report for both myself and my husband based on our date of birth. From the report I realised my husband and I have totally opposite directions. What is good for me is bad for him. E.g. my East is prosperity but his East is irritation. Anonymous wrote: In this situation, what can we do? Whose 8 house report should we follow? This is actually a very commonly asked question. Often in a household, the husband is usually considered the breadwinner as he provides for the entire family. Or the one earning most to sustain the family. So you need to first determine whether it is you or your husband. Very likely it would be your husband. So if this is the case, you should try to ensure that the breadwinner gets a suitable facing direction from the house. This will mean that he will get luck from the home itself. Since the breadwinner get luck from the house, the rest of the family will indirectlyenjoy this luck as he provides for the entire family. For the rest of the family, the bedroom location will be more important to obtain their own luck from the bedroom location itself. Thus, even if the house facing does not fit the various family member this is not as important to the rest of the family member. So under this rules, you should ensure the breadwinner gets the best luck from the house facing, and give a better bedroom to the spouse to enjoy. Ideally, if possible, try to look for a house that is good for the breadwinner but does not fall under the death or disaster for the spouse (the next most important person in the family). But do this only when it is possible. Sometimes, even if the spouse has a death or disater facing, but as long as the spouse have a suitable bedroom it is acceptable. Then for the bedroom, since the breadwinner has already gotten luck from the house, even if he takes a less suitable bedroom, it is fine for him. The spouse which did not get a suitable facing direction should then be given a better bedroom. Again, where possible, if the bedroom does not fall under the death or disaster for the breadwinner. This would be ideal. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: But I know, my renovation of the house will include wacking of wall, making flooring and furniture from scratch. It's totally empty and not furnished yet. Yes, if based on your renovation, it does not matter if it is a period 7 house now. As the "wacking of wall", will likely convert it to a period 8 house. So what you should be doing is planning the home so that it fits the period 8 house chart to benefit from the period 8 house luck. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: if my master bedroom sector (67.5 - 112.4) is death, is there a possibility that there could be a good sector under the death from flying star? I mean sector 67.5 - 82.4, 82.5 - 97.4 and 97.5 - 112.4. What you should remember here is that:- 1. Eight House suitability is simply whether or not you suit the room / sector. 2. Flying Star is simply how is the house or sector luck within the house itself. A flying star may be good, but that doesn't mean that a person will be suitable to that sector. That means that if a sector has good flying star, but if a person does not suit it, then you can only draw a certain amount of luck from it. I understand that you are concern here because the sector falls under your death sector one of the two most inauspicious suitability. The other thing you can check is whether the element of the sector fits your ba zi. If the element is one of your favourable element, then it may not be as bad as you expect. In this case, by enhancing some of the flying star luck, and having more favourable element, you can still make use of that room. In addition, if you are the breadwinner of the house and the facing of the house is suitable to you, then it won't be too bad either. Though, it isn't most ideal, but not the very worst case scenario. Anonymous wrote: How should we go about find it? Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I just bought a flat which has completed since 2001 however it is not occupied till 2005 when I purchase it and renovate it. Should I consider this a period 7 or 8 house? Since the house is completed in 2001 without any renovation done so far, it is still considered a period 7 house. It will continue to be a period 7 house, unless you intend to have a major renovation to fly it to the new period. This means, you now have an option to check if the period 8 stars is better or period 7 (existing) is better. If the star 8 is better, then better to make enough renovation to fly the house luck to the new period. Else, you can attempt to keep the existing period 7. Hope that helps. Dear Anthea, You cannot compare two different method's analysis. This will be like comparing an apple to an orange. Even in just the feng shui / horoscope, if you use Eight House gua element, this also does not match the ba zi element. Why? Eight House calculates fromthe year of birth, while Ba Zi calculates from date and time of birth. However, even though both gives you different analysis, but you will know that certain analysis you use Eight House while certain analysis uses Ba Zi. Same with nearly all concepts. Pu Kua or any Divinity method is aconcept to attempt to predict what might happen or to help choices. This is entirely different from like Ba Zi which only is suppose to reveal the kind of luck you might have. So again it is entirely different concept altogether. Most people use divinity to attempt to get answers to what might happen or what best to do. However, no matter what, no one can accurately foresee the future. You can only make use of these tools to attempt to culculated guesses what might happen. This is usually one method a fortune teller will use in attempting to forecast your past or future. In fact, a very accuratefortune teller will use a series of tools, ie ba zi, horoscope, i-ching, face reading, palmistry, character analysisetc. Each tool has a purpose, and a good fortune teller can take bits and pieces of information to piece up into a good prediction of your past. Remember, that a fortune teller will often look at how you dress and talk, this already give them the information to be able to guess how is your currently luck. So it is very easy to tell you what you like to know that makes it seems that they are very accurate. However, personally we do not go into fortune telling. Why this is because no one can really tell youwhat the future will be. Even with the use of ba zi and I-Ching, you can only attempt to forecast what might happen. Ultimately, whether or not it happens depends a lot on yourself. The decisions you make today will affect your future. ie if a child decides not to further his study, his future will be affected because he will likely not have the qualification to obtain a job that will bring him wealth. Thus, no matter how good his ba zi, he may not enjoy it as well. Often any predictions that are suggested by the fortune teller will come true simply because you believe it to come through. Thus, you actually make it happen. So if you ask me, I will use divinity method to forecast future or get an opinion of what options to choose. I will use ba zi because this gives you the type of element that influence your own luck. I will use eight house for assessing personal suitability etc. Each theory has it's own uses so I will use the strengths of the theory rather than use all the analysis that comes from a theory. Thus, in terms of element, I will not use the I-Ching or Eight House element as that is not showing your luck. And for feng shui knowing what is your given luck is important to enhancing future luck. I would also advise that you take note that there are many different types of divinity (Chinese I-ching, Western Tarot) etc. Also, there is Chinese Horoscope / Western Horoscope. So remember that you cannot mix and match the different concepts unless they are related. Else, you will definately get conflicting results. You must make sure for example that there is a related concepts. Even for related concepts you must know which concept is good for what. Only then can you make the best of the various results you get. But again, I would like to caution about fortune telling predictions. It is ok to just to listen but donot believe it too much. It is ultimately your decisions today that will define your future. Nothing else. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Vivienne, Anonymous wrote: I was told before not to use animals as a company logo as it symbolises "unstability". Is this true? My company is currently dealing with software distribution and I'm considering to have a penguin included in the company logo as it's related to the software. Is it advisable? What objects/animals is the best to be used as a company logo? If this was true than probably in terms of Computing the Linux which uses the penguin should have close down now because it uses the penguin as an icon. But instead it has been gaining momentum as well as popularity. Or in terms of cat food which uses cat as logo, or dog food which uses dog as an logo will not be successful. Frankly, how good or bad a logo really depends more on how well the design / colour of the logo suits the business owner as well as the business itself. Also, the sybomlic meaning of the overall design will be equally important. Depending on what kind of business, your logo should be appropriate. ie for logo it should be simple yet attractive for people to remember for brand awareness. Ultimately, the success or failure of a business does not really lie in the logo by itself, but rather the business model itself. I mean if you have a business that has lots of demand, it will be hard for you not to be able to survive or succeed. But if you have a product that nobody is interested or simply have too much cash burn that your revenue is not able to recoup, then the likely of failure will be higher. No amount of Feng Shui can help you in such cases. The main goal of using Feng Shui in design of logo or layout planning is to create a harmonious environment that everyone feels comfortable to look or work in. This is especially for the business owner, if you have no stress and feel happy, you are likely to have higher success to focus on your business. Your customers will also feel good about your services etc. Then your business will likely be more successful. Hope that helps. Dear Sophia, 1. Frankly, this really depends on how you define the Qi flow and what is it used under. 2. In houses, we are often talking about Qi flowing into the house. ie. your living room frontage faces East. 3. Qi or air will flow in from the West into the East? So don't you want Good Qi from East to flow into house as opposed to Bad Qi flowing in from West into your home? 4. That is why for our website, when we define facing direction we want good Qi to flow into the house and not bad Qi. 5. The other concept is useful for usually the Yin Feng Shui where you want to have lots of good Qi behind you so as to ward of the bad Qi. Thus, under Yin Feng Shui: sitting at your good sector helps you accumulate good Qi to defend against the bad Qi. However, I am aware that there are sites that rather define the house facing using this method. So it can be quite confusing. 6. We have studied closely the differences between Yin (for the dead) Feng Shui and Yang (for the living) Feng Shui. 7. And our approach is a realistic model using the Feng Shui meant for the living = Yang Feng Shui. 8. So ultimately, it really depends on your definition of how the Qi Flow. For us when we define facing direction say face East. This means from standing in the house looking out, that is East facing. So when East is good for us, we want good Qi to enter from the East to West. Where Qi circulating into the house is good Qi. 9. Ultimately, both concepts are not really wrong. But the application of what you want to flow in and whether you using for yin or yang feng shui is important. 10. I usually do not like to use sitting or facing direction because unless you get the orientation right, you will often get confused. Thus, using the compass (North-South) orientation is better. Thus, facing East means you literally face East direction. Hope that helps. Is it ok?? Or is there any way to remedy it?? Under the Eight House, Death and Disaster are two worst sector, while Irritation and Spook are less impact. So given than it is your irritation, though it is not the most suitable it isn't the worst sector also. In addition, at least you are sleeping in your South facing (ie Prosperity sector unless I am mistaken as you didn't give me the gender in your details but both gave the same results). The only thing else you can do is simply decorate the room is suitable colours favouring your ba zi element to offset any further influence of the unsuitability. Use the free ba zi report to determine what colours are good for you:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Anonymous wrote: My bedroom is also directly above the kitchen. The main problem or worry for such a layout is the fact that the kitchen has the high probability for a fire to start. And since smoke or fire rises upward, the bedroom would be the first to get hit by a fire from the ktichen. For this problem, the best recommended solution is simply to install a smoke detector for the kitchen. This will alert you in case there is a fire starting from the kitchen so that you have sufficient time to get far away from the danger. This is far more practical than using like 6 coins or windchime or any so call feng shui products/items etc. These items will only melt away in the fire, where the smoke detector can give you sufficient warning to avert the danger. Also, probably handy to keep a fire extinguisher close by to stop small fire outbreak. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Just another query, what if the breadwinner do not have the facing of the house andthe bedroom isin the death position. What can they do? This would mean that the house is generally not very suitable to the breadwinner. Unfortunately, suitability to a house is one thing that you cannot really correct after you move in. You either can enjoy maximum amount of luck from the house if it suits you or, enjoy less if it does not suit you. Another thing you can check is the ba zi element and direction. If the bedroom is death sector under the eight house, but the direction of the room is still favourable to your ba zi, then it is not as bad. It is even worst if the ba zi direction of the sector is bad as well as your eight house suitability. If the main door is disaster facing with a death sector bedroom and the ba zi direction also not suitable, than my advise in the long run is to move out to a better house so as to be able to enjoy better luck. In the short term solution, correcting/enhancing all other areas can only minimise the overall impact and get you some improvement. However, you will not be able to enjoy a quantum leap in feng shui in such a situation. The long term solution unfortunately is to move out to a more suitable home to enjoy a quantum leap in feng shui. If your house facing is spook or irritation, or if your ba zi direction for the main door or bedroom is still favourable. Then it will help offset the influence. Either way, the thing you can do to at least improve overall feng shui is like what I mentioned above, attempt to fix all other feng shui leaks and enhance whatever possible (ie colour scheme, etc). These will help improve or reduce the overall unsuitability. This is why choosing a good home before you buy the home is very important. Such suitability issues is hard to correct once you own the home. Unless of course there is alternative bedroom to make use but often these is impractical due to space constraint. Hope thathelps. Dear Terry, Terry Law wrote: Hi master, can i still activate the double 7 for my period 7 house since now is in period 8 region? As long as you don't change the house luck to period 8. Then the period 7 stars will still active. This is beacuse under a period 7 house the star 7 is the current prosperity. However, you should also look out for where are the star 8 as this represents your future prosperity. So activating it will help you to continue to enjoy your future prosperity luck in addition to your current prosperity. When you do change to period 8 house, then you should focus on star 8 (current prosperity) and star 9 (future prosperity) stars. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Recently I just had my new house key & now started renovation. I am just wondering ifit issuitable toplacean air-con abovethe bedroom's door? Is that a bad location? Thanks for your help! Generally for air-conditioner placement. You should avoid if possible to have the air-con located above the toilet door or directly above your bed. These are two not so good placements. The other aspect is to ensure that air-con does not blow directly into your face when you sleep. This may cause you to wake up the next day and catch cold. If you do have such a placement, then adjust the air con flap to blow down, so that it does not blow at an angle towards your face when you sleep. Otherwise, most commonis to place the air conditioner is just above your bedroom entrance. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
