Dear Sam Yeong, Sam Yeong wrote: When you talked about house suitability, which oneof them doyou base on?The personal kua's best 4 directionsor the house's best 4 directions? Sorry, I don't quite get what you are trying to ask. Maybe you like to clarify your question. Say a Kua has North, West, South-East and South as favourable, then the best house direction is a house that have the facing direction facing North, West, South-East or South. When we talk about a house facing direction we will always define that from within the house looking outwards as the compass direction. So if the living room/main door facing North, then it is a North facing house. So if that is your favourable direction, then the house fits you. So you should first determine the facing direction. Once that facing is determined, and it fits you it will be suitable for you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: Come to it, the web of yours is very much easy to understand. I really enjoy the ba zi site. I have a question regarding our main door is facing South-West (Earth element) as my husband ba zi is a weak water. Does that mean the house is inauspicious? As he need water or metal to strengthen his element. By painting the main doorto sky blue does it help to strengthen his weak water. Please advice me. Generally, in terms of ba zi it isn't the most suitable direction. The Eight House and Ba Zi each has a suitable direction. Eight House is best used on a micro level while Ba Zi is better used on Macro level. ie. Eight House better for small room, work/study facing direction. ie. Ba Zi is better for like living say in the Northern part of Singapore, or Northern country. Ba Zi facing direction though less suitable, can still be corrected by having more metal and water element in other areas to compensate for it. Ideally, as long as the house is not Death or Disaster then not as bad. Not necessary to paint blue door espcially if the Eight House is suitable. Just improve on other areas in your life to make the weak water stronger. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Joe, Anonymous wrote: I believe one of the pt to note is to get a good facing main door according to your life kua. However I thought of buying a house that I like and it is facing East but my like kua is 2, East is not my favourable sector. Should I drop the idea in getting this house? Is the door facing VERY important? Thank. Joe Suitability is impossible to correct after you purchase the home. If the suitability is Spook or Irritation, it won't be too bad. Since the house is Disaster sector, which is one of the two worst sector. It is highly not advisable. You should remember that the facing of the house is the most important thing next to the environment of the house. So if you get an unsuitable home, you will not be able to correct it in the future. So if you ask my advise, I would advise against it. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Velinda, velinda harjono wrote: My husband is the bread winner of the family. Unfortunately, our main door faces north-west which spells disaster for him in terms of his birthdate (1969). His lucky direction is south east. I feel there is always going on in this house which are uncontrollable and unfortunate and usually involves my husband. How can we neutralize the unlucky front door without changing houses (for now)? Are there ways to improve our situation? This point has been talk about many many times. Eight House is about suitability. There is very little you can do to correct a suitability of a home other than getting another that is more suitable to you. Thus, it is important to choose a good home before you move in. Else there is no other solution to correct this flaw. Usually, it takes a couple of Feng Shui leaks for there to be major issues or conflict. So it is never caused by just one issue. ie maybe there can also be like ba zi element conflict between you and yoru husband, the ba zi direction of the house doesn't fit the both of you. Or the bedroom is in another unsuitable direction, or having some inauspicious quarrels or conflict stars etc. So it takesa series of problems for it to be seen. Since the house suitability will not be correctable. The only thing you can do is to check the house for other feng shui leaks and correct it. Check out some of the issues I mentioned in the above para. See if they are present, if so correct them. That should be able tohelp reduce some of theconflict or issues until youcan move out to a better location. Hope that helps. Dear Cassy, Cassy Yeo wrote: How can I be sure that the gate or door should be used, espeically one is suitable the other is not? I have provide the layoutof an unit, would this help? As long as they resembles the one you provided, it should be taking the main gate as the facing direction. However, please note that you should try to make use of the main door rather than backdoor where possible. Cassy Yeo wrote: If I continuelooking for the same facingin thisestate, afternoon sun is unavoidable because of the point block structure. Is itok to go ahead? The afternoon sun is often considered a major sha qi. The heat will retain for many hours causing the home to be hot. I believe Cecil should have explained this to you. You must weight the overall pros and cons to see what is acceptable to you what and what is not. Since, you are only looking at units within the estate, it will of course limit your ability to be able to find a perfect home. Anyway, there is so such perfect home unless you custom build a home. Soyou just have to see which unit has least overall feng shui leaks which you are able to accept. The rest you can attempt to improve whatever to compensate for the flaws. Hope that helps. Dear Joanne, Joanne Yang wrote: Hi, if a person's bedroomis afflicted with 9m,1b,5w stars and hisbazi elementis weak wood, can he still place the 6 metal coin cure? Understand that metal destroy wood? Does flying stars have priority over bazi here? The room is also the person's 6 killing sector at northeast Yes, flying star is about the feng shui of the house. ie whether a sector is balanced or unbalance. Where it is unbalance, you must attempt to balance the sector first. Once you have sufficient balance the flying star sector, then you can work on improving your own individual ba zi luck by choosing the correct colour sheme (as long as it does not adversely affect the flying star). ie say if the room as Star 2, then avoid painting the room Yellow, even if Earth is favourable for you. Everyone will have at least two favourable element, so you should be able to find another element that you can use in place of the one that might activate the bad stars. Dear Kuga, Thambyrajah Kugathasan wrote: I am selling an apartment and would like to know whatfeng shui measurescan beutlizied toexpeditethe sale. Unfortunately, feng shui is no miracle cure for all problems. There is very little you can enhance in Feng Shui to help expedite a sale of a property. The reason is because the ultimate factor whether a potential buyer will purchase the place, will depend on the location of your home, the ease of transport, the price etc. With a lot of properties available, that means that the buyer has lots of choices to find the best home for him. So under such a situation, there is really very little feng shui can help. You can only make use of feng shui in the following areas if applicable:- 1. If there are potentially good feng shui advantages, indicate it during the sale. Who knows if the person believes in feng shui, there might be a higher chance he may purchase it if it suits him. 2. Increasing the luck for yourself by means of enhacing your bazi to increate your luck. With higher luck, maybe there might be some possibility of a sale to be concluded. Otherwise, the rest depends onyourthe real estate agent ability to find the right buyer. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Maggie, Maggie Lua wrote: The direction of our house is South-West direction and is excellent for the breadwinner. We discovered that our children's bedrooms are in the Death sector. And one of these bedrooms' door is also facing the bathroom door. Is there anything that we can do about it? Eight House deals with suitability, there is unfortunately very little you can do to correct a suitability problem except:- 1. Move the child to another bedroom (if available) 2. At least ensure that the child is sleeping in the better direction (this can help offset some of the unsuitability to the room itself) 3. Correct other feng shui issues to reduce any further inauspicious influence. ie enhance the room with favourable colours for the baby or fix up any flying star inauspicious star 2 or 5 to ensure that it does not add to the existing problem. As for the toilet door facing the bedroom. Try to keep the toilet door close when not in use. This should be sufficient. Hope that helps. Dear Lee Hui, lee hui wrote: I am confused on how to determine the "Green dragon" n "White tiger" direction. Should i determineinside the house or outside the house before i step into the house. pls advise.Thank you. This all depends on which frontage/facing direction you take to evaluate this concept. For example, if you take the living room frontage, then the frontage comes the front where the phoenix should be while the back is the tortise and the East side or Left side of the house should be the Green Dragon while the West side or Right side of the house should be the White Tiger. So the best thing you can do is first determine the frontage, then assign the four symbolic animals accordingly as shown below:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-four.htm Hope that helps. Dear Linda, Quote: 1. About the 12 year luck analysis. IT shows that for a particular 10 year period, the element balance change. Does that mean that if my wealth element is water for example, and in a particular period i have 32%, i have morewealth? Yes, in a way it means that you will have slightly more wealth opportunities for that period. However, because your five element keeps changing with your environment. Wealth from high percentage from your wealth element isn't as strong or as significant from the additional wealth dieties that is found within that period. The earned or unexpected wealth deities if found in that period is more significant that it is a good wealth year for you. Quote: Also, what does it mean when a particular year is , "Luck with you but Very Bad " or "Luck against you but Good "? This means that a year has the luck flow with you. So generally you will find that whatever you do, things will generally still favour you. However, because of presence of clashes etc the overall luck will be reduced because the clashes will act as major obstacles for you. Thus, though luck is with you, you will still face a great challenge. Quote: 2. I would like to know more about my marriage and whether we're good for each other. The report only shows "As you are a Strong Earth, this pillar means that your Self & Spouse provides you the necessary encouragement and strength." When i looked at my husband's report, his day pillar shows as, " As you are a Strong Earth, this pillar means that your Self & Spouse is likely to always find fault with you. " Does that mean that my husband is good for me, but i am bad for him? DOes this have anything to do with thefact that we're both STRONG EARTH? How just got married and we seem to get along very well. One should always remember that when you do an analysis individually, it does not consider the other parties ba zi thus, it bases on its own ideal of whether the self-spouse pillar favours him or not. That simply tells you whether generally will your self / spouse pillar be good or bad for you. Also, that refers to both self / spouse. So some portions of the analysis can be telling that your husband may sometimes have his own conflicts to deal with, not just relating to Spouse. This will change depending on the other party that you meet. In any relationship, it takes two parties to make it work. Thus, ba zi can only give some indications. Whether or not it happens depends more on the both of you. Base on the element of both of your Strong Earth and Strong Earth. Generally, any element that is similiar ie Earth and Earth then to have a strong affliation to be together. Of course because both of you are Strong, it also means that in order for the relationship to be further enhanced or smoothen it requires Metal as the common binding element. So the more Metal and Wood element in your life, the better the harmony between the two of you. As mentioned, ba zi etc can only give you an indication. For any relationship to work out will depend on the two of you. ie how much each of you are willing to give and take. Hope that helps. Dear Henry, TAN SENG KIAT, HENRY wrote: Thank you for the 2nd appointment, may I check with you further:- 1. Under your Binding Element Analysis, me and and wife (strong earth vs strong metal) Binding Element is WOOD & WATER, what do you mean by this, can you elaborate, how do I use this to have better relationship with her or how do I use your Chart to have better relationship with my son and daughter etc. Since you had taken up our paid services, it is best you contact Cecil to clarify your doubts for anything urgent. It takes time for us to clear the various posting in the free advise forum due to many postings and people seeking advise. Anyway, not sure if your queries were answered:- Basically, a binding element is the element common to helping both parties improve their luck which also means the element favourable to also improve relationship between two persons. Strong Earth and Strong Metal = Wood and Water. Wood helps to control the excess Strong Earth (yourself), while Water helps to exhaust the Strong Metal (your wife). So the best way is by choosing a colour scheme that has Wood (green/brown) or Water (blue/black/gray) in common rooms that both of you share. Having the two colours will improve each of you and thus, help to improve overall relationship by reducing possible friction etc. This is at least from Feng Shui perspective. Of course, you should not forget that equally important is the two of you must be always willing to give and take. It takes two person to make a relationship work. So feng shui can only help to create an environment that will reduce potential conflicts. The rest depends on both of you. As for your second question, you will have to check with Cecil since he has does the audit for you. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Can these two areas still be used for their purpose as dining and bedroom? or do we need to move out of these areas?? Btw, mine is period 8 house. Thanks many!!! Dinning room stars not as bad as there is star 6 to exhaust or control the Strong Earth. However, it still good to have more Metal (white/gold) to enhaust the strong Earth. Even some Water element (blue/black/gray) will be good as it helps to create more wealth in that sector and create a Earth - Having bad stars does not mean you cannot use it. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We're are in the process of looking for another house. If we want to look for a house facing South, is it necessary to look for new houses i.e. build in the new period after 2004 or can we just buy a second hand house that's build in period 7 but facing south? Is there any difference buying a period 7 house and period 8 house? I feel that as long as we get a suitable house facing south, that would suffice. Would appreciate your early reply. Ideally, since we are already in a period 8 influence. It will make more sense to purchase a house that is built in period 8. This will avoid the need to worry about whether or not you need to fly a period 7 house to period 8 or retain it. The advantage of a house built in period 8 is that it already adjusted the luck to a period 8 house chart. As such you main focus is to activate the auspicious star 8 and 9.A period 7 house because it is now in a period 8 influence, will slowly lose its wealth feature as time go by. Thus, ideally if you can convert it to a period 8 influence, you will be able to continue to enjoy further luck as a period 8 house. The disadvantage of owning a period 7 house now is that if the existing period 7 house luck is better than period 8, then you face the worry of trying not to accidentially fly the house luck to period 8 else you will lose the existing luck. In either case, both period 7 and period 8 houses each have their better facing direction. Period 7 houses tend to be auspicious facing North and South, while Period 8 is now North-East, South-West facing. But again you also have to check against the suitability of the house and ofter factors to determine if the house is ideal. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: So, in calculating birth element and determining favorable elements, should the birth location (Singapore in my case) be also taken into consideration? Five element should be considered under these two scenario:- 1. as a Weak Metal, it means that you generally lack Earth and Metal, thus you are weak. Water and Fire are generally unfavourable for you because they make you weaker. While Wood is your wealth but as a weak metal you are not effectively able to control it. Thus, wood is also not very favourable for you unless you have more Earth and Metal to make you strong. This is always the basic level of application of the five element. 2. A more detailed or to fine tune your element would be to make use of the balance of five element. A person ideally should have exactly 20% of each of each of your five element. This is where you can get say 10% of Earth, 20% of Metal etc. The elements you have the least in terms of your ba zi is the element you need more. For example if you are a weak Metal, and you have 10% Earth and 20% Metal, it means you need to have more Earth then compared to Metal. Same goes for the other unfavourable element. There will be one element you have too much of and thus that should be the element you should avoid most. 3. I personally do not believe in altering the existing ba zi analysis to suit a location as these are never considered in most major ba zi analysis. Also, it also do mean that you entirely break the essences of how the five element balances and seasons of the birth based on the original ba zi principles. That would be like saying that everyone born in Singapore must have water element? Hope helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.
