Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Based on a couple's birth details, is it possible to tell whether a particular year is a good year for them to purchase a new house, property? The ba zi can only tell you what luck you are supposed to enjoy in any particular time and period. This is often used to check whether it is a good date, good month, good year etc. So you can make use of it as a guide whether this is a good or bad year to own a property etc. However, purchasing a home is only one aspect. Finding a good hosue that fits the family and has good overall feng shui luck is more important. This is because the house luck can adversely influence your ba zi given luck. Thus, finding a good house is even more important than buying at the right time. Why do I say this? Very simple. Say if the ba zi luck tells you this year is not a good year for you while next year is good for you. Then you come across a fantastic home and do not buy it this year. What if the house is no longer available next year. Then you might miss out on a good house that could actually improve your inauspicious luck forthe year. So my point is, itisn't really as important to wait for a good year to purchase a home, but getting a home that fits the family is ultimately more important. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Nowadays in HDB flats we do not have much choice as where to place the master bedroom. Anonymous wrote: What if the house facing is good for the husband and the more suitable bedroom is given to the wife, but the more suitable position is at the same time death to the husband? Wherever possible if you should avoid death and disaster for key facing direction and bedroom. But where it is not possible, then at least the breadwinner has luck from the house, so even if he takes a less suitable bedroom like death or disaster, still acceptable. But what it does tell is that this house isn't the most well suited house for the breadwinner. Thus, it is always important that before you purchase a home, you try to ensure that such an issue does not arise. Anyway, as long as your husband continue to improve or get luck from other favourable elements in the ba zi (ie weak wood person needs water and wood). Thus, have more favourable colours (blue/black/gray or green/brown), or more suitable career etc. These will help offset any influence even if he stays in a sector that is death or disaster. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: How about if the facing falls under the disaster/death sector for children? Does it matter much? You see you should focus the house suitability to suit the key breadwinner. Once the house suits the breadwinner, the rest of the family will enjoy luck from it since that breadwinner will provide for the entire family. Since most of the time the breadwinner is defined as the head of the house often the husband. Thus the spouse is the next key person in the family. As such, it would be great also if the spouse facing of the house does not fall under the death and disaster. But this is only good to have. Not necessary. As long as the spouse has a suitable bedroom, then even if the house isn't that suitable it does not matter. Once the breadwinner has the best house facing direction. The rest of the family should ensure that they have a suitable room that they will draw luck from their bedroom. They will automatically benefit from the breadwinner who draw luck from the house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sam Yeong, Sam Yeong wrote: Iintend topaint the walls of my bedroom which is located at the west sector of the house. Can you enlighten meifthe Grand Duke (Tai Sui) will be disturbed? Grand Duke is usually affected by major renovations especially any hacking works etc. Although, paintings are not as major, it still does consider as a renovation. Best thing to do is simply just offer a little prayer to Grand Duke apologising for disturning him before you start work and probably choose a good date also. These should minimise any impact of offending the Grand Duke especially to the owner of the home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: May I know more about the triple combinations and what does it mean? Eg. this triple combinations of Base Star, Mountain Star and Water Star (BS9, MS3, WS6) neutralises the inauspicious influence created by the Flying Star. Thus, this is considered an auspicious combination. Right! No doubt there is no mountain star and/or no water star to activate. Sophia Chia wrote: As the triple combinations is considered an auspicious, why can't a mountain star and/or water star can be activateat this sector. Triple Combination is considered auspicious, simply because the element or at least the bad stars are being neutralised so that it no longer becomes a threat in the sector. Often, the inauspicious star will in turn make the originally average stars better because like a Strong Earth when met with weak Metal will make weak Metal stronger. And if weak Metal is an average star it will benefit from the inauspicious star. A mountain or water star that can be activated are only stars that are based on the period of the base period. ie period 8, auspicious mountain/water star is star 8. If such stars are not present for example, then there isn't any benefit in activating it. So the triple combination does not convert a ordinary star into an auspicious mountain/water star. As such you cannot activate it. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: What should I do in accordance with Feng Shui to quickly sell my home? Frankly, there is very littlein terms of feng shui that you can do about selling a house quickly. Except maybe make use of some of the auspicious feng shui benefits of the house as a selling point in your promotion or maybe even to improve your luck by choosing a good date to meet etc. Otherwise, nothing else can really help you here. Anonymous wrote: I've already un-cluttered my house and is clutter free. However, under his ming kua, west is his Death sector. Should he follow his Bazhi pointing west to sleep or follow his kua (best 4 directions) to sleep? It is best to follow this rule:- 1. Ba Zi direction is best applied to more macro feng shui analysis. Such as North of the country or North facing house. 2. Eight House direction is best applied to more micro feng shui analysis. Such as the sleeping / work / study direction. Therefore, you should follow the eight house direction more than the ba zi element of the direction. Dear Marc Berthoud, marc berthoud wrote: Dear Cecil Lee Designing our new house, I got intersted in FS and in your www. From your 8 House Chart I found, that a SE House is best for me, while for my wife it should be a SW house. Studing these 2 Charts I found, that my wife and I do have not a common sector - even worse these 2 types are totaly opposite (Where she has her optimum main door, I have spook and vice versa) - and the same again is true for the bedroom. Should we live in the same house at all? regards Marc Berthoud Basically, this is a very common problem for most people. But not to worry, just follow these steps:- 1. Breadwinner should have a house facing that suits him. At the same time if possible, it should not fall under the death or disaster sector for the spouse. It is ok if the house is spook or irritation for the spouse. 2. Spouse should be given a more suitable bedroom since the breadwinner has the luck from the suitable house. The breadwinner should then take a less suitable bedroom, ie spook or irritation. This way the spouse can get a more suitable bedroom to compensate for her getting less luck from the house. If you follow this method, you should be able to find a suitable house even if both person's chart is completely opposite. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My sister had taken a series of wedding photos in a deserted oldbungalow withshattered/broken window panes at the background. And she intend to place all these photos intheirmaster bedroom..I am just wondering ifthe photos with shattered/broken windowsare inauspicious tonewlyweds since broken windows are considered negative elements? And if so, is there anyway tocounteract the negative elementslike changing the photo frames or placing it in other parts of the house? Please advise. Thank you so very much. Generally, anything that is broken or old will not really be good to look at. So in a way it does not seem like the best kind of photos select to place in the bedroom. Usually, photos should look nice and happy etc. Else, like what you mentioned, it does not seem auspicious to do so. Just like if you want to hang a picture of fish painting, you also want to select nice and prosperous looking one. You will not want to choose fishes that are under-fed or only bones left. Just not auspicious to do so. If you ask my advise, would be to select other better picturesto hang. For these photos you can kept in photo album for memories but should not hang out to display if possible. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hi, I am a person with weak water element. Over the last year, I have made 2 career changes: Weak water person generally favours Metal or Water element careers. I am feeling very miserable again after 1 month on the job and feel that I am not able to cope with the pace and demands of the job. I also keep falling sick, and unable to sleep well, feeling very pressurised. Is this because I am not suitable for the job ? Is sports an EARTH industry? Public Relations is Fire element, while Sports industry is Earth element. Fire is water element wealth. However, as you are a weak water person you first need to be strong in order to control your wealth element. Thus, as a weak water you will not benefit from this fire career which is considered your unfavourable wealth unless you become strong enough by having lots of Metal and Water element in other areas of your life. In addition, the Sports is Earth industry which destroy or weaken your water element further, so not a very favourable industry for you. Anonymous wrote: I have been doing marketing, andPR jobs for the past 10 years. Is marketing more suitable for me or PR? Dear Reina, Reina Bernadette De Leon wrote: My house is in period 7. Should I also follow the flying star of 2005 to cure the afflictions and enhance the stars of the other sectors. My gua number is 9 and my death direction is northwest. What cure should I install to negate chue ming? Thanks you. The easiest way to apply flying star is always fix up the 20-year sector because this influence will last the longest as long as the house luck does not change. The yearly luck will come and go each year. So these changes are not absolutely lasting very long. However, a little caution to where the star 5 and 2 which are the two worst stars should be neutralized where possible. Usually, enough metal (white/gold) element will balance such problematic stars. So follow the yearly flying star only when your 20-year flying star is balanced. Eight house is about your suitability to a sector. Flying Star is the luck of the house. Even if a sector such as North-West which is a Death sector for you. It does not mean that you shouldn't fix up the sector based on the flying star. These are two different concept. It is hard for me to suggest any cure unless I know what is the influence of the sector that you are worried about. Every home is unique and every person is also unique. So unless you know what is wrong, one cannot simply just give you a general solution because it will not work. If you are worried about whether the flying star sector is bad or not, tell me what is the influence of that sector (ie Mountain Star /Base Star /Water Star and year star for that sector you are worried about). You should avoid having a house facing Death or Disaster which are to be avoided at all cost if possible. The most ideal facing direction is one where your eight house and Ba Zi drection both say suitable. ie strong water person, wood- East is good, and under eight house is East is Health, than East is the best direction for you. Once the house suits you, then you should check the master bedroom to ensure that it is suitable to your eight house. Or if you have a spouse, then ensure that it fits your spouse. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I read under Fun with Feng Shui Tour that it is unfavourable to have a bedroom above the kitchen. There is a very commonsense reason for this. The kitchen has the highest probability of fire to start compared to other parts of the house. So if you have a bedroom just about it. The chances of five spreading up first is so much higher. As such, this is in auspicious. I mean in the traditional feng shui, most will probably ask you to put like 6 coins or wind chime etc. But I would personally advise you to spend a little money and buy a smoke detector. This is because technology has caught up with times. A smoke detector can at least give you warning so that you can attempt to put out the fire before it grows to big or at least alert you to get out the of the house safely. So this is the most effective way to handle this kind of feng shui leak. Anonymous wrote: It also saysthat the bedroom door should not face the door of another room. Is there anything I can do to fix or "cure" this? Generally, this is because it is said that when two door face it other, there is a higher chance of conflicts from arising. Especially, between the two occupants. The best way to resolve this is either keep the door close when not in use. Or at least at one of the bedroom door, if possible to install have some kind of curtain to block of the entrance or view. This can help as well. But simply this is usually not a major issue for family members as mostly family members are more likely to work out the difference than compared to a neighbour. So don't really have to worry too much. Just keeping the door close will help in most cases. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Olivia, Olivia Kim wrote: I mention this because as a strong earth ram, you've stated on your website that the most favorable color for that person is white. However, on their website, it mentioned that white and greenis the LEAST favorable color butyellow, blue and grey are beneficial colors for this year. Olivia Kim wrote: Will be so kind to explain the discrepancy? Frankly, there are so many different concepts and theories for defining element. Some people can based on year of birth, some use chinese horoscope, some use i-ching etc. Even with the same concept the depth of analysis will also ultimately result in different analysis results. So it is best you check with the site that gives you that information for the answers. As for me, I can only tell you how our site analyse the information. There can be only two state that a person can be classified in:- ie. weak Earth or Strong Earth. weak Earth is defined by having too much of unfavourable ie Wood and water. Wood destroy Earth, while Water destroy Fire which helps Earth. Metal is double edged element so cannot be considered as it destroy Wood and also exhaust Earth so cancelling its effect. Strong Earth is defined by having too much favourable element ie Fire and Earth thus making Earth very strong. So if you understand this basic definition, you will know why our website define your favourable elementas a Strong earth as Metal (white/gold) or Wood (green/borwn). As a Strong Earth, water also becomes a favourable elementyour wealth. So in order to weaken your excess Strong Earth, you need togenerally have more Metal, Wood or Water. This is how mostfive element deduction are based on. On a more fine-tuning level, you want to check out thepercentage of the five element present atthe start of your chart. ie how much percentage of each element you have. This is because a Strong Earth can be strong because it has say 50%Earth, 10% Fire. Or it can also be strong because it has50%Fire and 10% Earth. Or it can beequal etc. Sothough generally a Strong Earth is strong because it has Earth and Fire, knowing the percentage can let you know which element you have too much and which have too little. As such you can determine which of the five element will be better to have more than the other. ie if favourable element 10% Metal, 40% Wood, 0% Water. Then out of the 3 favourable element, you want more Water, followed by Metal then followed by Wood. In reality, it is very difficult to keep track of exactly how much percentage of element you have at a time. As such, as long as you have generally more Metal, Wood, Water. Your luck will generally improve. So that is how we based our analysis from. I will not be able to comment on other analysis as they may have other considerations or priority or even different concepts used. I can only comment on our analysis to tell you how we get our analysis. However, you should always take an analysis from one source completely. Never mix and match analysis as you may not have the same foundation how the analysis was derived. I can only say that all the concepts from our website works properly together because they have the same fundamental concepts that allows us to related from one concept to another. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Can I know the compatibility of a weak water & weak metal person. Weak meal person actually makes weak water stronger. So weak water person benefits from this pairing. Weak meal person will be slightly weaken by the pairing as metal produces water and thus weakening Metal. In order to make the relationship better, you should have Metal element as the common binding element. ie Metal = White/Gold / Carer = Finance / Direction = Westetc. So Metal will be the common binding element that helps to improve or smoothen relationship. Dear Lily, Lily Loh wrote: If my paid Bazi analysis forcasted that a particular day or a number of days in a row are very inauspicious ie. stated "Very Bad", can I go and change a hair style? People said trimming of hair or changing hair style can change one's luck, or I should'nt do anything significant, just go to work and home, that's it. Is changing of a hair style considered significant? One should always know that person's luck is always changing from day to day. What is important is your general 10-year and yearly luck. This will influence the type of luck for the day overall. ie.If the year is a good/favourable year for you, that means that the Very Bad days becomes only the least auspicious day within the entire year. ie. If the year is very bad/unfavourable year for you, that means that the Very Bad days becomes the most inauspicious day within the year. So how truly bad depends on the overall year or month that you are in. You can always use this kind of deduction when making use of your luck forecast. Coming back to your query. Changing your hair style and look will generally affect a person's luck. Why? Simply because if you get a make over which makes you look very good and confident, even if you for example go to work, people will notice you better. This is what we call Human Luck. Taking care of your look and how you present yourself is one way of changing your luck. So by all means go ahead. Get a good make over that make you look good.Nothing to worry about the good and bad day. This is not that of an important event that auspicious date and time needs to be checked. You only check on such dates when you are planning to do something important (ie wedding / move in / start of renovation etc). Hopethat helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Ihavejust received keys for my new flat and to my dismay, I realised my living room window actually can see a cross junction road. And my main door is facing my neighbour main door too. Few questions for you to ask yourself in order to determine if this isreally bad. 1. This cross junction that you mentioned, how close or far away is it from your block? ie. If it is the road next to the block, then it is close. Then it will have more impact. ie. If it is separated by another small carpark road, before the main road? If sothen it is at least a distance away and you have another small road or path that separate or blocks you from the cross junction. Then not so bad. 2. How high is your apartment? ie.Usually for lower floors probably in this case I would say 7 floors or lower, then probably it will have a higher impact especially on the 2nd/3rd/4th floor. ie. For higher floor, then I don't think it will be as great an issue. These two factors will influence how much the cross junction will impact your home. The nearer the cross junction and the lower your floor the impact will be greater. Else it will be less. Same for your neighbour door. How close it is from you? Closer, will also make it harder to fix. I mean if you were to employ like putting a bagua or mirror, your neighbour may also do the same and end up having more conflicts rather than a friendly relationship. One practical way is to install a gate with the bottom half that is cannot see through. This will block some of the bad influence of two doors facing each other. Anonymous wrote: Could you provide your expert advice on such situaion and how to prevent bad omen? For the cross junction, one way is to ensure that you have day curtain which will act as some protective first layer to shield you from the sha qi. In feng shui, when you cannot see the Sha Qi it does not become a problem. But if it is a distance or you are on a higher floor, then I don't think it will be too bad. Hope that helps. Dear Affrei, Sorry to learn about your situation. I mean you will really need to identify where are the leaks available only then can you be able to know what is causing the issue and whether some of the leaks are correctable or not. Unfortunately, there are so many people constantly seeking out advise. I cannot promise you that I can attend to your case personally. As such what I can do for you if you are willing to do some work on your own and clarify the doubts as you face them. Usually, there are several concepts each used to check certain influence:- 1. Ba Zi - helps identify your luck period (maybe it could be very bad) or you have too many areas in your life such as career or favourable element lacking. 2. Flying Star - helps you identify the luck of the house, maybe the facing direction / bedroom / work room you are using is having inauspicious or even lawsuit stars. 3. Eight House (free report in member area) - Check yourhouse suitability and bedroom direction check if it is Death or Disaster which are two most frequent issues. 4. There might be other shape and form issues from layout plan or externally. It takes a series of these to be against you to have lots of ongoing problems. All depends on how major the leaks are. If you are interested, I can provide you with some of the paid ba zi and flying star analysis which you can use to check out what's might be wrong and thus correct them whereever possible. Once you minimise the various problems, luck will usually improve. How much of luck improvement depends a lot on what kind of leaks are affecting your home. If you have a layout plan, I can also check quickly to see if there are other shapes and form leaks that you might not have noticed. But you will have to give me sometime, as we are quite busy. As it is there are still a long list of forum messages and cases which we are trying to clear daily. Send me an e-mail at support@geomancy.net with your member account and this e-mail. I will credit your account with the paid credits. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Hello, I am extremely interested in learning about Feng Shui and doing an online course but I am feeling unsure about it as I discover my husband and I need the exact opposites. He is Kan and I am Kun. We rent our house which we both love but is ideally suited to me which concerns me. I am worrying unneccessarily for him or will you be able to teach me remedies (without moving bedrooms or house for that fact) to create a desirable living situation for him. Thank you. Frankly, this is an extremely common situation. You should be applying the give and take approach in such situation. 1. Firstly, identify who is the breadwinner for the house. Where both earns the same, in terms of feng shui the husband is usually the breadwinner. 2. Breadwinner should have priority for the house to suit him first. ie any of the 4 good directions. If possible, the spouse suitability to the house should avoid death or disaster if possible (if notstill acceptable as long as the bedroom is suitable to her). 3. Since the breadwinner now has a luck from the house, then the breadwinner can take a less suitable master bedroom suitabilty. Give the spouse a better suitable bedroom so that the spouse can get luck from the bedroom. Same thing, if possible the breadwinner should avoid a bedroom falling under death of disaster. So this way breadwinner get luck from home, while the spouse get luck from the bedroom. This is the way that both person can enjoy the house equally. Hope that helps.
