Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Recently, i just had the key for my new house. But I can see 1 or 2 sharp edges of the flats opposite pointing to my living room & every bedrooms of my new house. I heard of this sharp edges are very harmful like a knife. Sowhat can I doto solve this problem? Please help me. I really need your help! Thank you so much. Yes, any shape edges from building across are sha qi. Since it is from another building it not possible to have something blocking the path of the two buildings. One thing is to always ask, how far is that building. If it considered very very far away, then not going to be that bad. So the only practical thing you can to is to make sure you have day curtains in addition to normal curtains. Try to keep the day curtains closed so that it helps to block the sha qi from entering into the house directly. This will reduce some impact of this. If the sha qi is very serious, one way is to have a circular mirror to deflect the sha qi is another way. Another traditional method for deflecting sha qi is like the use of Qi Ling or Dragon which are often consdiered very strong defensive creature. Such creature are often used as to counter sha qi, where other solutions are not possible. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Please forgive my ignorance as I am new at Geomancy. The front door of my apartment faces North in the helpful people Gua. According to your report the North direction is very favorable (prosperity) for me. Do I incorporate the two maps together?I am confused.Would you clarify the difference between the Ba Gua nine area map and each direction associated with the Eight House map and how they work together? Thank you kindly. Paula Nine map or usually nine grid similiar to like flying star where there are 9 sectors. However, there are still only 8 directions with one additional center direction. So simply match the eight sectors equally for the flying star and eight house. Only difference is that the 9th grid is a circle at the center of the chart. So basically, that is how you relate the two types of concept together. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I started my new house renovation on 03/05/05 after refering to the Chinese calendar that it is a good date. One should always know that a Chinese Calendar (Tung Shu) as what most people come to call it is generally a date that is good or bad for most people. It does not personalise to each indvidual, so a date might be generall good, but it does not mean it will be particularly good for everyone. Each person has individual suitability so, some people may not be suitable for certain dates. Anonymous wrote: However , things did not seem to go well. First there is the tile out of stock for the wet kitchen and I have to select other tiles. Then I have difficulty in finding a matching wall tile border. When I do find a matching one at the tile showroom and ordered , when the tile was delivered to my house it was of a slightly different colour which is not matching. Then the dry kitchen tile is also out-of-stock and I have to spent additional RM800 to change to other tiles. Now , the cooker hob that I ordered in Jan 2005 , the sales people forgot to key into the system and that too is out-of-stock. Anonymous wrote: Since the renovation process is not smooth , are all this bad signs ? Anything I can do to improve the situation ? By the way , I am 8 months pregnant. Pls advise. One thing so far is that your pregnant. Frankly, it is not advisable for you to get involved in your renovation during your pregnancy. This is often inauspicious. You should let some other family oversee your renovation on your behalf. Shouldn't be personally involved. Another possibility, is hopefully you did not offend the Tai Sui (either by your year of birth or by having renovation work disturb the grand duke). If so, generally you should just have a simple prayer to just like seek forgiveness. Usually, these two are possible answer for your situation. Hope that helps. Dear Reina, Quote: ie period 7 (NW sector has 5-2-5 and yearly 5 will be very bad) ie period 8 (NW sector has 6-6-7 and yearly star 5 not too bad) I don't understand the NW 525 in 7 and 665 in 8. Can you please explain further. Frankly, this is lots of flying star related analysis. I was simply trying create an example to tell you that different period and different flying star numbers in the sector will make the yearly star have different overall influence. 5-2-5 are all three Strong Earth Illness/Misfortune star. With the yearly 5 again nother Strong Earth will make that sector extremely bad. 6-6-7 are Metal related stars. Metal helps to exhaust Earth, thus even if Star 5 (Earth star is present), it will be exhausted by the Metal thus not too bad overally. I was trying to highlight that one cannot just based on the fact that because yearly star 5 is present in that sector it means the entire sector is doomed. You have to related to the other stars to make an overall decision. Otherwise, you are only applying a general feng shui cure for everyone. Reina Bernadette De Leon wrote: My house is facing south and the sitting is north. It is a period 7 house. I am using an entrance door to the west. Please help me where I can enhance my wealth sector. Southeast is my bedroom. Thank you and more power. I just want to make sure here that my previous e-mail on the NW sector and stars present are created to explain my above point. It does not mean that your current house is actually having that influence. You can simply make use of our free flying star report to assess your home to see what influence your NW actually has. Different house direction will get you different flying star charts which will in turn have different luck for your home. URL: http://login.geomancy.net Only with the flying star chart of your home can you assess where are the bad influence (ie misfortune stars - 5/2 etc), and wheere is your wealth sector for the house. ie period 7 house star 7 (current prosperity) and star 8 (future prosperity) will likely be your wealth sector of the house itself. Mountain Star with 7 or 8 will be your unexpected wealth (pian cai), while Water Star with 7 or 8 will be your earned wealth (zheng cai). Reina Bernadette De Leon wrote: What cure can be done? I am a Gua 9 person and have been financially in distress for about 3 yrs now. Please help me where I can enhance my wealth sector. Southeast is my bedroom. Thank you and more power. Frankly, to be able to tell you want you can do you really need to identify more than just kitchen is the disaster sector. Often, where lots of problems is faced by a person, it means that several feng shui analysis will not be favourable to that person. ie. Ba Zi - Luck Period could be in a very bad period right now and/or career element / house element not favourable to ba zi element thus bring additional unfavourable luck. ie. House Suitability - ie facing of the house is unsuitable to you (ie your death or disaster sector). This means a house does not suit you. Where a house don't suit you, you will not be able to enjoy the max amount of luck from the house itself. ie. Bedroom Suitability - ie staying in an inauspicious room is also another aspect which will further lower your luck. ie. Flying Star - ie you could have a house with very bad feng shui luck itself. ie maybe facing of the house / main door has bad stars affecting the luck of the house, or the bedroom/work room is unfavourable. As you see, in order to truly help you one must know what exactly is the cause or root of your troubles. Only then can you know how you can correct it. What I can do to help you if you are willing to do some work on your own is provide you some paid ba zi and flying star credit to assess your situation. Once you know what is against you, then you can work towards improving your luck. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: In hunting for an apartment, is high-rise or low-rise building better? Is there anything to do with qi flow? In general, higher floors are generally more popular because firstly it gives a good view (usually unblocked by other flats). Also, under flying star above 7th floor onwards, it is always said that your frontage (usually the living room/balcony) contains virtual water (open space). Thus, usually higher floor is more popular. As for whether which is better in terms of Feng Shui, you have to really check out the environment in relation to the unit to determine which is better. Doesn't mean that lower floor means not as good. Some low floor can be as good depending really on the surrounding. One cannot just make a sweeping statment that all high rise building is generally better. There will always be good and bad units on low or high rise building. It is the surrounding environment that will ultimately determine the overall feng shui of the home itself. Hope that helps. Dear Steve, Steve Jhun wrote: The problem is, the house sits on a road that makes a 'T' and therefore the road creates a poison arrow directly to our front door. Would a water fountain help as well? Do you have any suggestions to remedy this or should we look for another house? Sha Qi from roads are harder to cure because these are external shapes and form influences. I would say that the planting of hedges to block this will be much better than the use of a bamboo windchime. In feng shui as along as you can minimise the any Sha Qi from cutting into the house it will help. However, in the long run ifyou do look for a new home remember to avoid such a house as external shapes and form are hardest to completely root out. You can only minimise the impact but not completely remove the threat. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Reina, Reina Bernadette De Leon wrote: My house was built in period 7 and its front entrance is the west (actually side entrance) but the facing direction is south. My question, if my house was built in period 7,what flying star chart should I follow, period 7 or period 8? Right now I have made some cures in my home but I followed the flying star chart of 2005. Am I right? Please give me some advice on what to do? Thank you. In order to determine if your home is still a period 7 or period 8, you will need to confirm whether there are any major renovations done in 2004/2005. You see a house does not change to the new period automatically unless you make enough changes to the house structure especially to change the luck flow within the house itself. Therefore, your house by default will still be a period 7 house. Only when major renovations work are done in period 8, will it cause the house to fly over to the new period. If you plan to make major renovation this year, then you can consider to check period 7 and perior 8 house luck, see whether it is better or not to fly over to the new period. If luck is better, then should fly over to the new luck period, else keep the existing luck. As for the yearly flying star, this chart will be same for all houses. But how it interacts with the base sector consisting of the Mountain Star-Base Star-Water Star will affect the overall influence of the sector. This is because the same yearly star in period 7 and period 8 will have different overall influence. ie period 7 (NW sector has 5-2-5 and yearly 5 will be very bad) ie period 8 (NW sector has 6-6-7 and yearly star 5 not too bad) It is never advisable to simply make cure based on the year star without considering what base influence is affecting that sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: The picture file shown is similar to the flat that I had purchased. The walls of the study room and another bedroom have sloping walls. If I have built in cabinets to make the walls straight, does it help? Yes, sloping walls tend to create additional poison arrow, so not very good in feng shui perspective. In feng shui, as long as you can no longer see the threat, it no longer becomes an issue. So by building a cabinet to hide the slope will be one way to resolve this sha qi. The other way is if your ceiling is very high, a false ceiling is also another away to conceal such sloping walls or any beams. These are usually the most effective solution, as once you are not able to see the threat it no longer becomes an issues. As to which is more cost effective, you will probably have to check out the various quotes for the work necessary. Hope that helps. If the fish die due to natural death, then I don't think there is anything bad about it. I mean every living creature on this earth will have to die once his or her time is up. So this is natural. ie. If the fish die due to illness, then you should also investigate maybe the cleaniness of the fish tank or clean up the water in the tank. Because if the fish die due to like the tank not clean properly than likelyhood of infection is always high.If so, than again shouldn't have anything to worry. Otherwise, if the fish just die suddenly (ie not due to natural deathor due to any logical reasonsetc). Then yes, it may not be a good sign. But still, I won't be too worried. Unless you tell me that all the fishes just died overnight. Or that fishes keep dying even if you replace them. That would be a really a bad sign. Dear Wong Paul, Wong paul wrote: Mr Lee, Care to elaborate how can I improve the flying star of my house. thanks Just like what we kept mentioning from time to time. You must identify what are leaks in the home. So for flying star, do a flying star analysis of the home. Once you have done a flying star chart, identify where are the trouble stars ie star 5 and star 2. If they fall in key areas of the house (ie living room/bedroom etc). These stars should be neutralised with metal. Even like star 3 and star 4, these are stars often related to lawsuits / romance stars. If they are present in especially bedroom etc, these are sectors that need to be balance off. Often with either Fire (if no earth stars are present) or Metal to destroy the stars. If star 7 (especially in period 8), might be related to robbery stars so must correct especially if found in like living room sector. After that, you will want to determine where is the Wealth stars especially (Water Star = zheng cai) ie in period 8 would be star 8. In addition the Wealth star especially Mountain Star = pian cai is. Once you fix up the problem stars, and activate the auspicious star, you would have corrected most of the flying star issues in the house. Others you should also look at is like shapes and form issues such as posion arrow from a building or tree opposite your home etc. Any leaks in the house must be neutralise. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Sorry..I would also like to ask as I have just visited lovesigns.net and I have found that my fiance and I are a difficult match. I just want to know how accurate it is and if there are ways to overcome it..I was born in 1982 (Dog) and my fiance was born in 1981 (Rooster). Horoscopes usually only based on year of birth so most of the analysis you can say is more general. Usually people look at horoscope more just for fun than real accuracy. However, under the ba zi even for say Dog and Rooster, there can be different types of element of Dog, say weak water Dog, Strong Fire Dog etc. There can also be different kinds of rooster ie weak metal Rooster, strong Earth Rooster. So the different element sign ie weak water dog and weak fire rooster, will not be as good as weak water good and strong Metal rooster. This is because the element sign will define what kind of dog and rooster you belong to. And thus, you can further be more accurate in determining compatibility. Often, you can use element to harmonise the two person ie a weak water dog and Strong Metal Rooster, can be improved by having Water element which helps to improve luck for both persons. So if elements are compatible, than even if the animal signs aren't that favourable, it isn't that bad. The worst compatibility is where element clash and yearly horoscope clash. That means very incompatible. One thing you should also note from this is. Ultimately, a relationship takes two person to make it work. No matter what horoscope or ba zi incompatibility exists, but if the two are not willing to give and take each other's weakness, then no matter what you do these two will never get along. Whereas, if two person truly love and give and take, no matter how incompatible the analysis maybe, the relationship may still workout. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Why do some people only want to pick on that year? Any particular reasons aside from the tung shu? When will the tung shu for next year be out? Can I then refer to you an a suitable date once it is out? As far as I am aware, this is the most common reason:- Tung Shu for next year is only available once a year usually in the 3rd/4th quarter of the year. As such, to look for dates beyond the tung shu, you need to wait until the next year book is available. Whereas we do not depend on availability of the Tung Shu to be out in order to select dates. We have our own system to compute the auspicious dates even for 10 years down the road. So we do not need to wait till the last minute to help people select a good date. Often I noticed most user telling me that sometimes just getting a date a year ahead already have difficulties booking reservations for popular hotels. Thus, most people want to be able to plan early to get the best date selection for their important event. Hope that helps. Dear Cilla Tan, Cilla Tan wrote: I understand from my paid Bazi chart, I'm a strong wood. It mentioned..( Since you are a strong Wood, you don't want to be too overly strong otherwise, you will not be able to control yourself.).Please explain to me what is that mean? Does that mean I will fall sick or something else? I understand that we need to balance all elements, but what if we lack of our favourable element too? Is there a chart to tell us whatwill happen if someone lack or have too much offavour/unfavourable elements???? That is just a general statement does not really mean anything. You see ideally you want to be a person balanced wood. That is, not too strong or not too weak. However, that is virtually hard to achieve. At most, a person is always too strong or too weak. So a weak person strive to be stronger, while a strong person wants to be more in control. That is about all that statement really means. Usually a Strong Wood person, usually means that you are strong either because of lots of water and/or wood. And thus, lack fire/metal/earth to balance up. The true way to see how much you have of each element is to use the balance of the five element chart which breaks the five element into percentage. Ideally, everyone strive to have 20% of each of the five element. But this is virtually impossible to get. No one will be able to tell how much you have of a particular element you have at anyone time. So most of time if you are Strong Wood, then more of Fire and Metal will certainly helps you. Just relate the element to the various career, house direction, colour etc. The more of these areas favouring you, the better your overall luck. Hope that helps. So you should make use of the free flying star report in our member area to determine your house wealth sector. This sector changes from time to time. For personal wealth sector or corner, you make use of either the Ba Zi (ie a weak water wealth element is the element water destroy ie Earth). This question sounds very similar to another recent post:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=18533 I am not sure if it is exactly the same. But as mentioned, in such situation where it is difficult to put any form of partition, then the best is work on the having like a main door with bottom half fully covered. This can help to prevent any sha qi from entering into the house. However, if yours is similiar to the above post, where it is a private walk way, then I don't think you need to worry about it as much. You might as well focus on enhancing the home in other areas (ie flying star, ba zi etc). That will ultimately be the way to improve luck. Dear Daniel, Frankly, I will not be able to comment much on what your previous master has used to analyse your feng shui. In terms of our website:- To find whether a house is good or not under the house hunting analysis:- 1. Flying Star of the house built in a period will determine which facing direction would be most ideal (assuming the ba zi and suitability isn't yet considered). So different period (ie period 7 house will have certain direction better, period 8 house will have another set of direction better). 2. Then you need to check against your ba zi element ie weak wood likes water, thus North facing (water) is usually good. 3. In addition to the ba zi element, it would be good that the Eight House (does not fall under at least Death or Disaster.) In fact, if both Eight House and Ba Zi direction are good, it will be considered the most suitable house for you. So you see there are several difference theories available. Our house hunting does all these analysis to obtain the best possible facing direction that considers all forms of analysis. Even that, you will still need to match the various bedroom sector so that all your family members each have a suitable facing sector to make the house search complete. My best guess is that your previous master could just only focus on the best house direction based on either Flying Star only or only one concept to define your best house direction. As mentioned, since there are so many different feng shui practitioners/master. You will really have to determine if they really know their stuff or how much details they use in the analysis. The more detailed your analysis, the less you will go wrong when making any decision. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Dear Megan, Anonymous wrote: I am an extremely weak wood person. Thus, wood and water are my favorable elements, and since I have strong metal in my chart, metal is an unfavorable element. I currently work as a police dispatcher. I have read that police work is a metal element career, but would you suggest that as a dispatcher and call-taker for emergency police service, I am in more of a communications field, which is good for those with wood and water as their favorable elements? Thanks in advance for any words of advice you can offer. Generally, police work normally involves law enforcement. Thus, it is more accurate to classify police work as Fire element (Law). More than metal. So I would consider your job industry as Fire element. Although, your work scope is more like communication so it has some Water element in terms of work scope. Communications (Water) element is suitable for weak Wood person. But for Fire (Police/Law Enforcement) it is not as suitable as it exhaus your weak Wood. So industry wise, not as suitable. Career is something hard to tell you what you can go into. As almost all jobs need some kind of experience or skills to be able to venture into. Remember in feng shui say a period 7, star 6 is fading prospertity, star 7 is currentprosperity and star 8 is future prosperity. Not sure if you were the same person who sent me a query about trailer and graphic layout. If not, basically you should note that when feng shui was created, there is no such thing as a trialer. So really, there is not going to be any books that can properly advise you on this. This is because a trailer is moveable so your feng shui luck isn't fixed to a certain direction unlike a concrete house. I think in the case of a trailer, you should focus on making the maximium use of the small space available so that it is practical and useful. If you do wish to apply some feng shui, then go for suitable colour schemes rather than worrying about where is the good or bad sector based on flying star. Cannot apply flying star and eight house simply because a trailer will not have a true fixed location. If you part the trailer in a different direction, then your so call feng shui cures for the flying star will need to be shifted along with it. So not really going to be practical. More likely, if you follow your ba zi, ie weak wood, then have your trailer in water (blue/black/gray) colour etc. This would be very much more practical for your trailer feng shui application.
