Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: I would like some advice please on whether placing photographs of my daughter and her partner in the relationship corners of my rooms will help them heal a rift in their relationship . I so want then to be happy. At present they are apart. I have placed a photograph of them in happy times in the relationship corner of her bedroom, in the sitting room and my office, one photograph i have placed inside a red cd casing. (this one shows them kissing). The hardest area for any third party to help resolve is relationship issues. Frankly, you can only do so much as to create opportunities for the two person to talk it out. Anything, that can help to remind them of the good/memorable times they had together can help. But ultimately, they will have to work out the difference themselves in order to settle their conflicts. There isn't going to be any so call feng shui items that can be place to mircle improve their relationship. The only thing can can help to so call create harmony is by finding what elements will work together to help reduce friction. So in terms of feng shui, you can check out the elements of the couple and try to have more of the common elements to help reduce fiction. ie weak water, strong metal can have water element help reduce friction. Dear Than Huynh, Thanh Huynh wrote: My front door is facing directly a big beautyful oak tree. I know this bad in feng shui. Is there a way to fix this or cut down the tree is the only option? There are someof the common way tocorrect this. 1. Is to place two pot of plants at the side of the main door (one on the right side the other on the left side). The reason for this, is the two plants together with the oak tree will form a triangle which points outwards of your home. Thus, creating Sha Qi pointing out of the house. Or twoLions (Qi Lin) can also be used. 2. The other way is to have a row of plant between the oak and your main door. This will act as a shield or like a fence against the lone oak tree against cutting into your home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Hi Cheryl, cheryl ludwig wrote: This is my question. I am planning on buying a tract of land and building a house on it. How do I go about knowing which direction everything should be in, in addition to where to place living room, kitchen, bedrooms (2), etc. ? When I draw up the plans, I want to start out the correct feng shui way before the house is built? What is my next step? Thank you for any assistance. Unfortunately, each house is unique as such there will not be a single perfect template that you can refer to. The only way you can get a perfectly designed house is to seek a professional home consultation to help you make recommendations on your home so that it suits you and your family. Probably this would be the easiest way as you don't need to worry about the various concepts and how they should be used. If you wish to do it yourself, then you can make use of the various free tools on our website for exmaple, to check what colours to select for each room using ba zi, or where to place the bedrooms based on your eight house etc. Generally, thesearesome of the tools that most masters will use to help designthe perfect layout for your home. Hi Anon, In terms of beams, ideally it is best not to be able to see it if possible. Anonymous wrote: We have just finished building our dream house, actually its a loghouse so the problem is we have big beams over our beds and in the living room area, also we have a big log postsupporting the secondfloorareain the middle of the living room. So usually, two most efficient ways to go about it is to either have a false ceiling which will hide the beams. Or to have a bed with those canopy beds which you can place like curtain or cover on top. That should help you shield the beams from your view when you are sleeping on the bed. These two are two more practical ways rather than having to place two flutes on the beam. Anonymous wrote: And also in our bedroom we haveclosets with mirror. For this, it all depends on how comfortable are you with the mirrors. This is because generally the ideal behind this is that it is said that when we sleep our spirit will leave our bodies. So when you have a mirror, what might happen is that your spirit might get a shock when it sees itself on the mirror. However, this boils down to how tolerant you are. There are some spirits for example who will see a mirror, comb his/her hair, adjust the clothes before he/she leaves. So once you more or less understand the reason behind the inauspicious influence. You can then know how bad it really is. As long as the mirror does not bounce Qi from a window located opposite from a mirror, I think that it should not be a great deal of problem. In addition, if you feel comfortable with the mirrors, then should not be a problem at all. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

You can break up a career in to a suitable industry and job scope. I ideally if the career element is favourable to you, it will tend to bring you luck. But of course, it also depends on whether you have the right skills to be able to go into that career. ie if most suitable career is mechanical engineering but you know nothing about it, no matter how suitable you will not be able to benefit from it. Careers are generally harder to classify now-a-days, but the above link should give you some rough guide. Hope that helps. Hi Edwin, edwin tay wrote: in myoverall summarreport, it said that i am water 14%, wood 7%, fire 47%, earth 28%, metal 1%.it is saidthat well balance is when a person has 20% of the each element. does it mean that i need to ehance my water, wood and metal while reducing my fire? however metal is identified to be my most unfavourable element andhence i should avoid.i'm confused. kindly advice. The thing here is that a weak person wants to be a stronger to attain harmony, while a strong person is too strong as such needs to be curbed a little. So the ultimate goal is to be a balanced person. A balanced person is defined as when you get 20% of each of the five element at a single point in time. However, it is virtually impossible to be able to assess a person's element breakdown at any time, as it is not possible for you to be able to determine say how much of an element is this house you are staying giving you. Or how much the clothes you are wearing is adding to your luck. As such, the way go about enhancing your luck is by focusing on the elements that favours you and avoiding the ones which do not favour you. In your case, a weak wood person, means that you need more Water (14%) and Wood (7%). So what this tells me is that you are a weak Wood because you lack more Wood than Water. As such, you should have more Wood elements rather than Water elements. In terms of your unfavourable, Metal (1%) and Fire (47%), means that you should avoid Fire since you already have too much of it more than Metal. Since these are generally considered your unfavourable element, you should avoid having them if possible. However, it does not mean you should avoid it completely. You need a little of each element in order to attain balance. So that means that having some Metal even though it isn't your favourable is better than having fire element which will make you too weak given that you have too much fire. So you use this as a guide to fine tuning your elements. edwin tay wrote: whathappens if my partner is a strong metal? will it add on to my metal element balance or be the most unfavourable element? what can i do about it? Yes, if your partner is Strong Metal, it does add to your metal. As mentioned, since you do lack some Metal, having some metal will be ok for you. Just do not add too much more of it then necessary. In this case, if you can have some Water this will help convert the strong Metal into Water which in turn strengthen your weak Wood. edwin tay wrote: also, what's the best way to enhance an element? The best way to enhance the element, is by taking note of what elements you should have more, and have them in as many parts of your life as possible:- ie. House - North = Water element ie. Career - Wood = Healthcare for example. ie. Colours - Water (blue/black/gray), Wood (green/brown) The more areas in your life that is suitable for you, the better your luck will be. Hope that helps. Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1. The owner (an old lady) died in the house two weeks ago of natural death. Therefore the house went on sale for a lower than market price. Amazingly it doesn't bother us as much as we thought it would and when we were in the house yesterday, we felt peaceful. As you mentioned, the lady died of natural death as such should not be an issue. I mean if the lady is young and died of like accident or suicide, that would be the type of home that you should avoid. For natural death this is part of the natural cycle of life. So should not be an issue. In addition, since you mentioned you feel good, then it is your personal intuition that is telling you that it fits you. Try to bring as many family members as possible. The more people feeling good, it will normally tell you that this is a good house. Anonymous wrote: 2. The L-shape house location faces southwest, which is an excellent location for my husband. But the main door which is at the left side of the L faces southeast, which is to the Spook direction. We're not sure if we should use the house facing location or door facing location when assessing the house. This depends a lot on the type of house. It is a landed property or apartment. Landed Property, you should try to take the frontage of the entire house facing. Apartments, that are higher than 7 floors best to take the frontage from the living/balcony where most light enters. Apartments, that are lower floor take the main door entrance. I am guessing it is a House (landed property ie bungalow/terrace etc) for your case, should facing direction should be the south-west. Spook direction is still acceptable as long as it is not Death or Disaster direction. The other thing you should check is the Bedroom sector where does it fall in the house. If this is suitable, then should be of no issue. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Roeland, There are a couple of concepts in feng shui. In terms of determining house element, we use Ba Zi which is based on the direction the house faces. As such North = Water, thus the house is considered Water element. Given that Eight Trigram isn't the most accurate analysis, as it uses only the year of birth in the calculation compared to Ba Zi using Date and Time of birth, the more accurate analysis comes from the Ba Zi element. While we use Eight House as the suitability analysis only. The problem with most of the sitting and facing direction method is that it can be confusing because Luo Pan is orientated in South-North orientation, as such often you will need to rotate analysis 180 degree before it can be fully utilised. In our website, since everything is orientated North-South just as a normal compass. So we do not use Facing or Sitting direction. When you use a Luo Pan, and take a reading South (this is actually North in a normal compass). So if your direction you are taking oon the Luo Pan is North (this is actually South in an ordinary compass). Please note that difference. When you use a Luao Pan it is different from a compass. In our website, we completely use the North-South orientation as such what is North is North. This makes it easier to use our analysis compared to original Luo Pan. Thus to avoid confusion we do not use Facing or Sitting direction but rather the original direction. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: I came across one of your articles which seemed to say that it is not quite good to have a bedroom above the kitchen. I'm not sure why but my new master bedroom happens to be above the kitchen. What shall I do? Yes. The reason behind it is simple. Since the kitchen is below the bedroom, the likelyhood of a fire to start under the kitchen would be very much higher. As such becomes a pontential danger to the people sleeping above. The most simple and practical way to solve this threat is to install smoke detectors. This will at least alert you in case of such a situation. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: I am a weak water person, does it mean that I don't have the chance to get into Career with Wealth or Career with Power Authority? Does it also mean that without the above, I will not have a stable career or no promotion or can't climb up to the corporate ladder? As a weak water person, you do still have elements which represents your career with wealth or career with power and authority. However, the problem with these two exclusive career type are they belong to element which you must be able to control before you can benefit from it. ie a weak water person for example will have career with wealth as Fire element. But as a weak water person unless you have enough metal and water in your life, you cannot benefit from a Fire element career. That is why I mentioned in my reply to the other user that for such users usually the element which is most suitable career element would be more beneficial. Anonymous wrote: I am a Company Secretary (manager), my job is to ensure on-going compliance of company law & provide advice and my company's principal activities are multi-level marketing. Does this suit me? This should generally be a Fire element career. So generally considered your wealth element. The problem when you try to go too deep into say hour analysis for example, it can happen that you may find that the best hours may be found in very odd hours like 3am in the morning. Dear Wanama, Wanama Thefirst wrote: I am a strong m?tal element ,but dont undestand very well about how to balance the ?lements.I hear that you should have about 20% of each element to be good but I have 43% metal, 25%water,0%wood,16%fire and 16% earth.I'm wanting to know what can be done. As a strong Metal, that means:- Favourable Element: Water (25%), Fire (16%), Wood (0%) (Wealth) Unfavourable Element: Earth (16%) and Metal (43%) Ideal would be to have 20% of each element. But this is frankly very impossible to achieve as you will not be able to accurate determine how much percentage you have at any one time. As such, the best is based on elements you favour. In this case, it means you should have lots more Wood, followed by Fire, and least Water among the list of favourable elements to enhance. Since you have 43% Metal, it means that is the element you should avoid a lot more than Earth 16%. So you make use of this kind of guide to assist you as to how you should go about improving your luck. See which element is most lacking by you so you have more of that element. Hope that helps. Dear Users, Some users have pointed out some description related errors in the Ba Zi v12.55. We have since corrected them in this latest revision of the Ba Zi Premium & Standard versions. A. DESCRIPTION BUG FIXES A1. Under Changes in your Five Element Balance (Part 3) Unfavourable to you While, your unfavourable elements are Wood (18%) and Fire (64%) You will to avoid Fire (64%) more than Fire (64%) to improve the luck for this period. Avoid staying in an unsuitable House Element - Your luck will further be reduced if you are staying in a house facing South direction which represents Fire Avoid unfavourable colours - Should ensure you avoid bedroom decor/car colour/dressing are in red (Fire element). When percentage of the unfavourable element is equal, it showed a template which shows the favourable element description rather than unfavourable element. This text is also in blue (for favourable indication rather than unfavourable). This affects very few people due to it being hard to get percentage that are equal. A2. Under the Luck Pillars analysis (Part 3) You have an Earthly Branch Self Punishment found! chen - The elements in the Luck 8 (chen - Dragon) pillars of the Earthly Branch punishes itself. The explanation pillar which tries to make sense of this keep showing 1 and 2nd pillar description as such the explanation also does not refer to this portion. For the time being since this is an outdated module which is not needed anymore, I have disabled it until I have time to re-write a new module to explain the clash. B. IMPROVEMENTS / CHANGES B1. Clashes / Harms / Punishment etc. Since our ba zi was written till now, we only show Clashes that are not duplicated. Meaning that if two or more pillars clashes with the same pillar, only one of the clashes will be shown and usually it will be the one that is permanent that will be highlighted. The duplicate clash which is often less important will not be shown. For example Day and Month clash. say yin-si harm was found. Another yin-si found between say Day and Luck pillar will be considered duplicate clash. Previously, this was not shown as duplicate clash already occured once. We have enabled this so that such duplicate clashes/harms/punishment etc will now be shown rather than hidden. This is because in current ba zi report, we have such forecast modules which does not only 10-year / 5-year / year analysis. In fact, it can go as deep into 6-monthly/monthly/daily/hourly. So with such indepth analysis. By allowing duplicate clashes to appear, it will make the forecast even more accurate by being able to tell you if a year is classified as Good / Average / Bad especially with the present grading system in place. In our curent analysis, we used a grading system to grade the score so as to classify them as Good / Average / Bad etc. If the system is able to know that a duplicate clash is also found, then it will better be able to classify as less auspicious then previously maybe average (because no clashes were found). This will give a more accurate forecast result since it is able to consider all major and even minor clashesas well as duplicate clashes. Users can access the report to get an updated forecast module. This will affect the forecast as those which are good/average may be classify a little lower. Giving a more true account of your luck forecast. Since ourforecast reportcolour code theday/month/year in 3 colours, so please do not be surprised to see previously analysed as Green (Average) become Red (Bad). As mentioned, witha minorduplicate clash, the overallluck will be less auspicious then previously graded. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

Hi Anon, Nntp Guest wrote: My boss upon seeking their master's advice, put a 6ft tall plant outside my room. According to my colleague, this is to prevent the person in that room (i.e. now its me) to leave the company. This means that I am stuck with this company whether I like it or not. And I have been feeling uncomfortable since the plant was placed outside my room. Is there a way to counter this and make me feel better working in that room? As you are only an employee in the office, it is difficult for you to put or suggest removal of the plant. So probably only thing you can do is attempt to add Metal to balance the plant. One suggest would be to have a 6 coins with red string to attempt to balance the Wood. (ie Metal to destroy Wood). Otherwise, don't think you have any other thing which you can do at your own personal level. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: If you have small creekback of your house or source of water feature in front of your house.Does itmakes any difference which way water flow isgood orbad? Yes, the flow of any water feature is important. This is why there is the shapes and form concept about Water Courses. See this link for some details:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-wcourse.htm For example, even if you put an external water feature, it is good if the flow of the water is flowing into the house rather than outside of the house. Water flow out of the house means your wealth leaking out, while a water flow into the house means wealth flowing into the house. So, it is also important to note how strong flow is. Even if you have a water feature, but the flow is so small, it does not create an impact for the house. The reason why a water feature is good is because when water fiction with Air, it creates Negative Ions. This is good for health. So the water flow is extremely important in terms of feng shui. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: 1) Iunderstand that I amastrong water element. How do I go about reducing this element and increasing other elements which I am weak at? In what ways? Should I avoid going forany other water related activities such as swimming? You should go by the Strong Water element characteristics. As a Strong Water means you generally have too much Metal and Water which makes you overly strong as such Metal and Water becomes your unfavourable element. While Wood which exhaust your excess Water and Earth which destroy your Wood help to control you excess Water which makes you Strong. These element becomes your favourable element. In addition, your wealth is what you destroy which is Fire element. So Wood, Fire and Earth generally becomes your favourable element. So the more of such elements in your life will be good for you. Since Five elements can be related your home (direction), colours (bedroom decor, clothing, car etc), career (ie Sales - Fire, Accounts - Metal etc), people around you etc. So the more areas in your life which belongs to your favourable element, the better luck you will have. Of course, that doesn't mean that you should avoid the unfavourable element totally. You will still need to have some of each element. The ideal goal is to have 20% of each of the five element to be truly in balance. But this is difficult to achieve, so you only try to get more of your favourable elements to attempt to balance it out. Anonymous wrote: 2) In terms of career, I understand that I should choose either afire element (for wealth) andearth element (for Power& Authority), can you let me know if Office/Admin Manager,IT/Telecom and government/stepboard industry belongs to these two elements? Office/Admin Manager is more towards Wood element IT/Telecome is more towards Water element. Govenment/stepboard is hard to classify as there are many departments. So depends on what exactly will you be doing. Anonymous wrote: 3) Under my suitable/favourable career, you had listed some job which are considered beneficial to me, in what ways are they beneficial to me? Suitable Favourable career, simply means the element which is directly suitable for you. Some people do not have the luxuary to take on Career with Wealth or Career with Power Authority because they are generally weak natured person (ie weak water person). In such cases the suitable career is element which favours them generally. ie in your case a Strong Water the suitable career is based on Wood element career. That is why it is suitable, because it enhances your Wood element. Anonymous wrote: 4) Under my balance of elements, I am totally confused. I am strongest in wood and 0% in earth and metal which I understand is totally unacceptable, so what should I do the increase/reduce the elements? It seems to be totally opposite to my favourable/unfavourable elements? I am currently working in Finance dept, which I believe can help me increase my metal element but then I understood my most unfavourable element ismetal and is my wrong career choice. As I mentioned to you earlier, the best way to balance yourself is to have 20% of each element. However, this is very very difficult to apply or calculate because how to tell how much exactly do you have in a point in your life. In terms of your ba zi (your given luck), this can be calculated easily. But in real world, how to I tell you how mucha brown colour (Wood) car will be in terms of your percentage of Wood element influence in your life. Thus, you make of this information to tell you how much of a particular element you have. Since 20% is the ideal, if you have too little, say 5%, then having a little more of this element will be eventually beneficial for you. If you have 40%, then it is too much, so having less will be beneficial. So say your Strong Water is made up of 30% Metal and 10% Water, it means you are Strong because you have more Metal than Water. As such Metal should be an element you should avoid getting too much of. Say if you have 5% Wood, 20% Fire, 40% Earth, then it means among your favourable element, you would prefer more Wood, followed by Fire, and least would be Earth. This is how you make use of this portion of the five element to fine tune how much of each element you should have. Hope that helps. The only thing you can do now is try to be in company with your other relatives or friends. Talking about it will help you slowly get over or accept the fact. Yes, probably inititally you will cry or feel sad about it, let it all out. Once you do, you will find at a point, you won't feel like crying any more because you have already cried enough. This is a form of healing process itself. In terms of like religion (ie christian). Probably take some time off maybe go on a holiday with your other love ones etc. Just to get away from things/places that might remind you about your mother. Dear Anon, It is of course nice to have everything perfect. However, in reality, this isn't always possible. There will bound to be some imperfections in pre designed homesunless you are rich enough to construct your own perfect home. Anonymous wrote: i am moving into a very nice house in a nice neighborhood with nice people, but my bedroom is in my disaster position. i cannot move my bedroom, so what steps can i take to make my bedroom not so bad? In Feng Shui, you should always remember, that there are many different concepts each has a specific purpose. In your case, say the suitability of the room isn't ideal.Make sure that at least say the house is suitable to you, and/or at least the colour scheme of the bedroom is of a favourable element. In addition, you should also attempt to fix up other major leaks in your home. This way, you have something else which is suitable to you to offset the unsuitable flaw. Often, a single feng shui fault alone (ie say a toilet in the center of the house), the bedroom does not fit you, or colour is unsuitable. Each individual flaw on its own does not cause a major catastrophy. But when many many leaks comes together, that is where you get trouble. Which is why I keep stressing that, it is more important to correct whatever flaw that is correctable, rather then to dull on the problems you cannot fix. In cases for suitability, the only way to ensure you do not ever encounter such a issue, is to make sure that you check the home for that suitability or external shapes and form flaws before you actually buy it. Suitability and external shapes and form cannot be fixed unlike other flaws such as flying star or colour schemes etc. So these are important considerations when you first get the home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Imagine if you have a head larger than your body, it will be a burden to your body in terms of being able to balance yourself properly when walking. Thus, it is more ideal if you have a frontage that is narrower than the back. Of course, each plot of land is unqiue so you have to see each plot to be able to comment if it is good or bad in relation to the surrounding environment. Quote: If so, are there anyfengshui fixes? Generally, the only other fixes is to ensure that the house is squarish and big enough to cover the plot without any further missing corners etc to add to the problem. Andto fix up other feng shui leask in the home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Cindy, CindyLu Who wrote: Hello, I have moved into a new home, it's Period 7 house (S2) and have brought many plants with me. My living room areas are the S & SW, kitchen is N & NW. I can't seem to place them in an appropriate place as I do not want to destroy the 8WS & 8 MS yet wouldn't wood neutralize the 2 star? Generally, plants are always good in terms of feng shui. Most of the time most plants if any should be placed in the garden or balcony area. This is practical for it makes it easy to maintain and well as create a very nice garden environment for the balcony area which is extremely pleasing to look when you look from the living room area. Some plants within the home is also acceptable especially in living room, study room, corridor, kitchen, yard area. Plants in bedroom area for example won't be advisable as plants will also fight for oxygen at night. So it is never advisable to place plants in the bedroom. I think you don't have to worry about plants being considered as destroying Earth. If you look at plants which is wood by default. Also contains Water elementand Earth element. So it is not all wood element element if you look at it from this point inview. Frankly, this itself won't create a big problem of addingsay too much wood which destroy Earth element.Notat least when you consideronly one or two plants. But if you intendto fill the room with lots of plants, than that will be different story. One or two plants will not create an issue. Let's look at it in another way, it would probably be even more worrysome if you think about most wooden furniture which represents wood. Won'tthat have more concern than plants? Sometimes we look at it from the point of view of colours (which is best way to represent element influence in the room),as well as quantity. Does the plant for example cover more than 33.3% of the room? If not then it will not create any impact to thebalance of harmony within the sector. Hope that helps. Dear Sophia, Sophia Chia wrote: Are dreams a part of feng shui. Human mind are so complex that no one is still able to comprehend how dreams work. However, I would classify dreams which appear to come true as personal intuition or 6th sense at work. Many a times, whensomething bad is about to happen to people (especially those closest to us), we somehow have some form of intuition which will give us advance warning. Most of the time it is dreams or sometimes it is like your eye twiching constantly. Since everyone has some form of person intuition or 6th sense (only how weak or strong for some person). Often even in Feng Shui, when we often say that the best way to tell if a home is good or not is just to bring your family members to view it. Each person will have some like of intuition which allow you to know whether this home feels comfortable to you or not. But I would consider it closer related to Personal Intuition rather than Feng Shui. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
