Dear Robert, Generally, wealth (whether Direct Wealth or Indirect Wealth) are good regardless of whether there are more direct or more indirect wealth. Everyone would like to have as many of these as possible. A person with extremely good wealth luck means that they have more than 7 or more at any one time. Most average person have between 2-4. Some even have 0. All it does show if any are how much wealth opportunities a person might be given or have in their life. One must remember, that wealth does not necessary mean pure physical money. True wealth in the old traditional chinese is children. In fact, children are a person's greatest wealth. I mean if a person has 5 children compared to another that has 1. So wealth need not just be in form of money. In today's society, when anyone talk about wealth, they always refer to money. But this isn't necessary the true meaning of it. Direct Wealth is usually associated with money you earn as well as children.UnexpectedWealth is often associated to gambling, but it can also be in forms of bonus, addition money from inheritance, gifts and etc. So having lots more Unexpected Wealth does not necessary mean thatthe only way you can earn is throughgambling. This is a common misconception For gambling, your luck is compared another person luck, so meaning that ifpeople who buy 4D for example. If your luck is 7 but another is 8, your luck will lose out that one that is higher. But whatever Direct or Unexpected wealth, these are types of deities you like to have more rather than less. The more you have, means things will likely be better for you as you are given more opportunities. But ultimately, it is through your own hardwork that will determine how much you can eventually earn for yourself. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, 1. Unfortunately, Eight House analysis helps define suitability issues. It is very difficult to correct a suitability issue. I mean if a house facing does not fit you, the only way you can correct it is to move out to another house which fits you or make correcting to the location of the door. So in such situations, you do not really have much choice of correcting this one flaw. That is why it is important that when you first obtain the house, these issues should be checked first. Issues like flying star problems can be corrected, but not suitability of the house to you. 2. However, you do not need to worryso much as Spook or Irritation are not as bad as Death and Disaster. Meaning that as long as you have a bedroom located in a more suitable sector of the house, this will help offset the inauspicious suitability of the main door or frontage of the house. 3. Furthermore, Eight House is only one form of analysis. Just like in a school exam, failing one question does not mean you fail the entire exam. As long as you still do well in other areas such as Ba Zi suitability ie (Strong Metal, but staying in a North-Water house), or having good external shapes and form etc. Then this issue will not be overall too big an issue to worry about. So the advice here would be to attempt to fix up all the leaks present in your home to help offset this issue. Hope that helps. Dear Michael, Yes, Eight House can be applied in the in bedroom where you sleep. This is where the Sleep Position or Bed position report in our Members Area come in. http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/perlist-sleep-position.htm ie. Sleeping with Head North and Foot facing South, if your North isLongevity direction for example. However, you should always remember, that the general shapes and form placement of the bed holds a greater priority over Sleep position. So only apply this when there are other bedroom alternative that comply with the shapes and form concepts. Hope that helps. Dear Anonymous, 1. In the ba zi, the birth element percentage is calculated during when you are born. So that gives you the percentage which you have at the time of birth assuming other factors such as the current year are not considered. 2. The percentage at each 10-year luck pillars is further calculated to attempt to give you an understanding how that particular 10-year element might influence your overall ba zi luck at that present time. 3. This is to give you a better understanding how your overall elements are at any present time. This will allow you to further fine tune your five element during that period so as to get the best overallresults. 4. Any percentage depends on the total elements that are considered. It is very difficult to tell you how each any additional elements might give you at any time. But it is safe to say that a person's luck is greatly influenced by the house (so this has a higher weightage), followed by Career, followed by other surroundings and colours. Hope that helps. Dear Users, NOTE: Usually during the end and start of the new year, we are extremely busy as such there will be some delayed attending to the posts. In fact, you will noticed that we are reviewing the unverified which we may have missed. Doing a one time clean up to delete duplicate post as well as approving posts which we might have missed. Additional Updates to the original Post (5 Jan 2005) Fixed the Watch / Stop Watch Topics Message posted Last 60 days now only shows the new messages by grouping them as a single topic. (Rather than displaying each individual sub-message). The new read module display all the topics when read, so you need not read the individual postings anymore. Topic Header showing some of the emoticon tag codes (ie (notes), (angree) not removed properly. Original Post The new PHP Webboard Forum Interface v1.0 is converted from our Perl Forum Interface to greatly enhance the usability and access performance. Though the previous Perl Forum Inferface was working fine. It was performing sluggishly especially with the increasing number of visitors to the website accessing the forum. As such I had spent the past few days converting the Perl Interface to the PHP Webboard Forum. Features PHP Webboard Forum Interface v1.0 1. Faster Forum Pages (for Forum List, Topic List) 2. A new Read Post module was added so that once you view a topic, it displays all topics sorted from Last Post to Oldest Post. This PHP version also generates much faster than the original one. 3. File Attachment count also added back to the Topic List so that messages with file attachment is more easily noticed. 4. Many SQL coding refinments were added which improves the SQL access time. 5. User Login have also been greatly improved. This allowed for more closer integration between the Members Area and Public Pages. You should noticed that once you login, the system remembers you the next time you access the forum pages (without further need to login again). Our existing forum software has very extensive features and database, thus it is essential that we keep those features and databasein place by enhancing the core forum interface and still continue to retain the original features. Hope you enjoy the various updates. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sophia, For birth element you should use Ba Zi element. 1. The Kua Element is never used as the Birth element, given it only considers the YEAR of birth. 2. The Ba Zi on the other hand tkes the full Day, Month, Year and even Hour of birth, so it is far more accurate to use the Ba Zi element. You should always try to use the day rather than year element (just as in our website's ba zi analysis). So Earth element as caculated by the Ba Zi report is your birth element. Hope that helps. Dear Sophia, Generally, for doors, there is no harm to leave it in the natural wood (brown colour). This is considered a neutral colour or element for doors. For a weak Water person ideal colour is either Metal (white/gold)or Water (Blue/Black/Gray). So if you truly want to paint colour then you should choose between the above colours. Whether a house is good or bad, depends a lot on the suitability of the house to the breadwinner as well as the general feng shui of the home. Often most problems are due to major leaks in the external factors of the house itself. So finding and fixing the leaks are essential to improve your overall luck. Knowing what are the leaks will help you plan and avoid them in the future. For example, staying in a Death/Disaster house will mean that you will not be able to get the best amount of benefit from the luck, so in long run you will benefit more by moving to a more suitable house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Kel, Generally, for a Strong Metal person:- 1. Fire destory Metal. Since you are a strong Metal means you have too much Metal which is why you are Strong Metal. So Fire destroying Metal helps to keep the excess Metal in check. Thus, favourable for a Strong Metal. 2. Wood is wealth to Metal person. So this is again favourable to you. A 10-year luck period is influenced by many factors, ie big luck for the 10-year, 5-yearly, yearly, 6-monthly luck. It is also influenced by whether a 10-year luck period has clashes or harms. Generally, if your are born on 10 Jul 1964, then generally you are now following your wealth luck flow, so things should generally be ok for you, how good or bad as mentioned depends on the yearly luck influence. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Radha, Generally, if the renovations are major (ie replacing roofs / hacking of walls / adding roomsetc), then your house would have moved to 1990s (period 7). Usually for houses that are old, it can be sometime hard to say for sure unless you know what have been done. But most likely for most old houses some major renovations would have taken place, so it is very likely that it would have moved to period 7 (1984-2003). Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Chee Kiong, Generally, the best way to determine your true birth element is to use Ba Zi day of birth element. 1. There are two ways to determine a ba zi element, the most basic way is to take the year of birth element. So most will take the fact that your Chinese Year is 1959 (Earth Pig), so your element may be considered as Earth element. 2. However, the problem is that even in the entire year ot 1959, there is still different element that a person may be born in depending on the day of birth. So the more accurate way is to consider the day of birth. This is because one can be a Strong water , weak wood born in an Earth Pig year. So the day of birth is more accurate for this point. I believe the geomancer you consulted is probably using the day of birth based on the ba zi, while books are using the year element. Feel free to use our free ba zi report to determine your ba zi element:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/reports/free-report/freerpt-element.htm Hope that helps. Hi Anon, Feng Shui is no miracle cure for all problems. Feng Shui cannot control how much a person wishes to spend or save, this is more of a human factor. You should probably try to say get your husband to do like a financial planning, so that he can see how much he earns and how much he spends. This way he will then realise that he might be spending unnecessarily and start to save more. No amount of feng shui can help you change it. Feng Shui can help you improve the amount of potential wealth, happiness and health but it cannot help you on controlling your wealth. For questions on Health, there may be two possibilities:- 1. From Ba Zi, it seems that you though you have luck on your big luck path, but it seems that there are many many major and minor clashes/harms occuring your life. This usually are signs of a person with health issues. This may be made worst if you continue to lack Wood (green/brown) and Fire (red) elements in your life. 2. From House perspective, you might also be staying in a house where there might be lots of star 2 and 5 which are illness and misfortune stars that can add to your issue. This you have to use the flying star report to help check on your home. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Seco, Plants and flowers in general, no matter whether they are have thorns or not, are geneally good. It is always nice to have some greenery, or nice looking or smelling plants to liven up the place. Anyway, even for thorns are quite small, a few of them will not create a massive sha qi. Thus, it should be no problems to have roses in that area. Furthermore, you already have put up some Metal cures which should be enough to neutralise the sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Seco, Though Eight House suitability and bed placement are important, but even more important is actually the shapes and form placement of the bed within the bedroom itself. Often, the shapes and form principles will have higher priority than, Eight House. So generally we try to follow this room:- 1. The bedroom sector within the house itself should if possible fall under any of the 4 better eight house sector. 2. Bed placement within the room should first suit the shapes and form, ie a solid wall behind where you can see the door and window. 3. Only if possible under the shapes and form arrangement, such as to place the bed North or East facing, only then can you make use of the Eight House again to see which direction is better. 4. Finally, choosing where one person should sleep on the right or left. You use the eight house to try to sleep closer to the direction which is better for you and let your partner shield you from the less auspicious direction. It is never advisable to solely use one principle and ignore the rest. Each feng shui theory and concept has a specific use. Knowing when to use what is important. But if you generally folllow the above rules, you should do just fine. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Linda, Generally, a rifle is a form of sha qi. So generally, it isn't advisable to hang a rifle. Even if you wish to display a rifle, it would be better that it is kept inside a glass display where the rifle barrel at least inside the glass display. It will definately make more sense to have a picture or a flower ornament rather than to hang a rifle. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Koon Hee, Generally for main door you follow these rules:- 1. For entire buildling, you take the frontage of the buidling. 2. Fora particular shop/office within the building, you should take the main entrance where you and your client will enter in and out of the office. 3. Taking the frontage or office window is another way, but that will be taking the frontage of the office. Especially for offices which do not really need to have customers entering in and out of the house. From our experience, it is better to take the main door direction from the centerpoint of the office. Reason for this is because this way the sector where the main entrance fall under will be same sector. However, it is also not wrong to just stand at the main door looking outwards and recording the compass reading of the direction or the facing direction of the office window. All really depends on the office layout itself. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Sharon, Generally, when there are two doors facing each door, it is said that there will be more quarrels between the two occupants. Especially if they are extremely close to each other. In your case a life door, though it isn't a house, but you will have lot of people enter in and out of the lift and if it faces your home, in a non-feng shui point of view there will be some lack of privacy. If the lift is a distance away shouldn't be much of an issue to worry about. Otherwise, best thing you may do is to keep the door close when not entering in and out of the house. Hope that helps. Dear Anon, The reason why you will not find answer to your question is because in order for anyone to know where is the best position to place a water feature, will mean that they will have to do a full personalised anlaysis of your home before anyone can recommend where exactly you can place the water feature so as to take advantage of the new period. Generally, a water feature is good to be located in an open space area, often the frontage or garden would be a generally a good choice. I so happen to reply another question on water feaure, which I have put up some tips and guides on water position which you can read up as a guide. http://forum.geomancy.net/webboard/wbpx.dll/~geomancy/read?16959,1 But generally, the best placement of a water feature should be a water feature that attempts to collect water (wealth) into your home as well as to prevent wealth from leaking to another house located lower down the hill. Exactly where will that be in your garden will be hard for me to tell you unless a full review is conducted or until a full flying star is done. You can make use of the free flying star to locate where is the water star 8 (current prosperity) or 9 (future prosperity). These would potentially be good directions where you can put the water feature. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

Dear Judy, Generally, in order to fully know where you should be activating the water position in the home, it is best to use tools like flying star analysis to conduct a full audit so that you can find where are the current and future auspicious stars where it will benefit from having a water feature. So please note here that any advice provided here is based on general shapes and form concepts without considering other factors. 1. Ideally, any water feature should be located at the frontage of the house where possible. This is because whatever your frontage is that should be the clear space where under the Four Symbolic animals, it is the pheonix sector where the bird may fly freely in the open space. 2. The next place that is often good to place the water feature where say the backyard has a sloping hill. Such a sloping hill will often cause wealth to flow from the high grounds to lower grounds. So such a position is also good for placing water feature so that you can trap the wealth before it flows to another house lower down the hill. 3. The next would then be the living room balcony frontage especially in apartments where the main door entrance may be on the opposite side of the house. For landed property, this will often be the garden area. From what you have provided so far, it would be that the water feature will be located in the garden, so it should generally be ok. As for the use of amethyst crystal bowl it should not be an issue. Justtry toremember some of these tips:- 1. For garden it is always good to have some water feature. The only issues will probably be how big or small. The water feature should not be too big in a small garden or too small in the garden otherwise it won't look nice in a garden. 2. The water feature should also have sufficient water flow so that there is moving water which helps to create negative ions (which is good for the environment) as well as create the nice water flowing sound just like if you were in the forest. 3. Whatever feature you put it, should be nicely decorated so that it will if possible contain all the five elements (ie rocks - Hi there! I live in the Southern Hemisphere and I have a large amethyst crystal bowl (60cm round and 40cm deep) I wish to place it under a Frangipani tree, in the middle of my back garden as a water feature facing the house. The back garden fence faces North East, the crystal would have it's back to the fence. Is this a good position? Is there anything I need to keep in mind when placing this crystal. Regards....Judy

Hi Anon, Generally, plants in general are good for beautifying the environment as well as as plants with flowers are often good indicators to whether a sector is good or bad. Remember that the goal of feng shui is ultimately to create an environment which you will feel comfortable in. Most people should find that a home with plants or a beautify garden very relaxing to be around. Thus, plants no matter what variety are always used. In terms of feng shui, any sharp objects pointing at your home or etc are considered poison arrows. Which is why most people will go for less torny plants if and where possible. Usually, one will also try to avoid getting plants which can create major poison arrow to the home. But you should remember that that whatever sha qi, you can often grade the severity. ie a small single torn isn't going to create as much sha qi as a single tall and thin lamp post for example. This means that even if you have a plant that has some torns, it is not going to create as big a sha qi as a corner from another building or tall lamp post. Thus, even if you put like a rose (which has torns as well), it isn't going to create a major sha qi. Rather, some plants especially a variety of plants can create a very nice garden decor which will be override the minor sha qi and still create a very nice environment. In addition, some people use plants that are torny as a form of protection to the home. Imagine if you create a fence with a row torny plants, don't you think it will act as a deterent against any one from climbing over the fence. So, sometimes plants can also be a form of protection. Thus, I would consider the sha qi created from such plants as minor. And if the use of the plants can still create a very nice decor and/or act as a protection, why not? Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for applied feng shui Research.

Dear Detroit, Generally, anything sharp pointing towards you is considered a poison arrow. But how bad will depends on how big or how visible the object is as well as how far away is it. If it is a small object that is quite a distance away then it is considered minor. But if is pretty obvious and it points say towards the main door or living room windows etc. Then you may need to try to put say a someplants or if you have afenceor even some roll down blinds if you have some balcony type area etc which can help to block the sha qi. Generally, as long as you cannot see the threat from your main door or living room then it is no longer a big issue. So anything which can block the path should be ok. But if the object is really small, then not really a major issue. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
