Dear Carlos, 1. In both instances: a weak metal or strong metal person's wealth element is still: wood. 2. Imagine, it as a block of wood. A metal instrument is capable of scupturing the piece of wood into e.g. an art work. 3. Here, a piece of wood has been transformed into something of value e.g. wealth. 4. In your situation, as mentioned earlier, if you are a weak metal person, your wealth element also is wood. BUT the caution is that the Wealth element is only auspicious if you are STRONG metal, otherwise, if weak metal is not enhanced to make it strong, it will bring one lots of problem. 5. For a weak metal person: Favourable element/colour: earth (yellow), metal (white/gold) Unfavourable: fire (red, pink, purple) and water (blue, black, grey). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cleo, Flying Star Feng Shui can help to detect sectors with imbalances. In your case, if the sector identified has Lawsuits and some gossips involved, then it is prudent to neutralise this specific sector with a neutralising element. In such a case, `big metal' or six coins (controlled by red string) for example is used to neutralise such bad element e.g. #4 (lawsuits and gossips). Remember that this is distinct from your personal element e.g. Strong metal. The purpose here, is the home Feng Shui. Where, be it a strong or weak metal or other elements e.g. strong/weak fire, wood, water or earth. Here, if there are imbalances and especially in your bedroom. In order to effectively use the `cure' one has to hang or paste it at that specific sector. The cure has to be seen. And not hidden. The most appropriate location is e.g. say South-East wall. It can be hung over e.g. the curtains or pasted on the wall higher than the curtain rail. It can be strung in a straight line or circular and over-lapping. Sample pictures of are shown under the following url:- http://www.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/mypictures.cgi?img=0&search=6+coins&cat=all&bool=and&x=2&y=6 Attached please find a picture of another six coins hung above the bed. As mentioned earlier, beside your individual element, we have to neutralise the imbalance caused at the specific sector i.e. the Feng Shui birth chart of the house. The Feng Shui birth-chart shows imbalances and has to be balanced with big metal. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chloe, In my opinion, so far, to me, burying of three crystals a foot apart is something new. Some `authentic' Feng Shui practitioners had instead request to bury: the `Eight Treasures' of the buddha. Frankly, there is relatively no harm in burying crystals or coins with square holes in them. I believe, you have a garden. If so, a better alternative is to create a profile e.g. landscaping at the garden. Such that from a `helicopter view' one can see the profile or outline `neutralising' the missing corner. And at the corner of the missing corner, one can also consider installing a lamp. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carrie, In many instances, both can carry the same weight. In addition, a third consideration is one's Pillars of Destiny - 10 year currentLuck period. Feng Shui is all about luck. And for more detailed diagnostics, usually the consequence is `heavier' where:- 1. Pillars of Destiny Luck Period - Inauspicious for the Year or current luck period. 2. Home Feng Shui needs further improvement 3. Office Feng Shui also is not so good. In above situation, the above three have a `pulling power' of making things not so lucky. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Patrick, You can find out more about the significance of missing corners under this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm In some homes, what may be assumed to be missing corners can alternatively instead be `protrusions'. If anyone is not sure, whether your house has `missing' corners or `protusions' can scan and attach for me to comment. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jasmine, Ideally, it is good if the house can face good directions of both parties. But as you had mentioned, one person is the `East' house while the other is the `West' house. "Unfortunately" in Feng Shui, there is a consideration: Who is the breadwinner? In traditional Feng Shui, (like almost everywhere in the world); the breadwinner is often assumed as the man of the house. Or the male figure. Even today, we still often consider the male (husband) as the breadwinner unless: the husband is not working or a house-maker. Or if the male's salary is far below that of the female. In the bedroom, even if one partner's sector is not so good, (if possible) the partner who has a better `intangible' force sleeps closer to this line. For example, if the bedroom is at the North sector, the husband can sleep close to this North sector, while shielding, the wife: who sleeps further from this sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Felicia, We should take advantage of both: Flying Star Feng Shui and Eight House Theory. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui or as you mentioned, `the stars': if a sector is out of balanced (under Flying Star Feng Shui); you should neutralise any bad elements within this sector. Once you had neutralised any imbalances under this sector, there is really no issue: if this is a good sector under your Eight House. If this sector is your `Excellent' sector under Eight House, do take advantage of it. By sleeping under this sector. For those, who do not have a choice, e.g. all the bedroom locations e.g. bedroom 1, bedroom 2 or bedroom 3 are not favourable with regards to Eight House i.e. death, disaster etc..; would as a last resort sleep facing a good direction. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Allan, In Ba Zi or Pillars of Destiny, if you are using the Luck Pillars in our report, you can find out each year whether it is auspicious or inauspicious (in addition to generally, the 10 year luck period). From my personal observation, each year differs in the luck period. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lola, I glad that you find the information in the website useful. Please see below:- It is best that Qi can meander rather than go off directly thru and out of the house. If you do not see a direct path from the main door to the back, this is acceptable. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Jasmine, Since you are plannint to build a new house, it would be crucial not to pay any attention to the Shapes and Forms of the house. In fact, when one build a new home, there are many Feng Shui considerations, not just based on Eight House. In many situations, it is good to have the main door face a good direction. Even if the door does not face a good direction, based on the layout, it can (in some instances) still be tilted to a good direction. It is prudent therefore, that one should not entirely base the layout planning on just the Eight House Theory. Internally, each room should preferably be as rectangular as possible. Other important considerations include where the location of the toilet(s) are. The staircase (for double storey) houses etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Nguyen, Please see below:- If you can attach a layout plan, I can help you confirm the direction. Under the Eight House Theory, there is no solution or cure. It is best to look at other theories e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui. Yes, she can sleep in the spook bedroom. But, for husband and wife, it is best for both of you to sleep in the same bedroom. You can sleep closer to the sector and she sleeps further away (if this is possible). I am sorry. I am confused with some of the directions you had mentioned. Perhaps, a sketch can help. Overall, it is still best to have the placement of the bed based on good shapes and forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carlos, 1. The Sigil of Saturn is the movement of the Luo Shu grid as shown in the url below:- http://sg.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-tortise.htm 2. You can trace the movement by sketching the movement in the above url's centre chart from the centre position:- 3. Do trace out the movement from " 5 (Five) to 6 (Six) to 7 (Seven) to 8 (Eight) to 9 (Nine). And from 9 (Nine) jump to 1 (One) to 2 (Two) to 3 (Three) to 4 (Four)." 4. If you have traced this movement, (from the centre): this is the how the Sigil of Saturn will look like. 5. This is in-fact the Flying Star Feng Shui. Where the centre number refers to the Period. 6. Thus under Period 7, the Number 7 is placed at the centre of this chart/square. 7. The Flying Star Feng Shui i.e. where the flying star numbers 1 to 9 `FLY' is similar in concept to ancient Hebrew symbol of this Sigil of Saturn i.e. of the planet Saturn. 8. It is also interesting to note that this symbol is identical to the symbol of 9 Chinese Gods. 9. If you are interested, you can take up our Flying Star Feng Shui course and learn more about Flying Star Feng Shui. 10. I have attached the movement of the Sigil of Saturn for Period 7 (1984 to 2003). You can try to trace the movement. It is similar to the movement as mentioned above. Warmest Regards, Cecil Here is another sample of the movement of the Water Star (extracted from Flying Star course).

Dear Peck Wun, Usually, in many instances, the auspicious time is based on: 1. phonetic sounding of the numbers. For example, common timing would include:- 8.x8 am where the time has an 8 (in Cantonese `Fatt' or auspiciousness) 8.x9 am where the time has a 9 (9 sounds like longevity). or 9.x8 am or 9.x9am The above timings are nice sounding and also:- 2. They are yang hours of the day. For example, the thing to do is to insert the key into the wooden main door and wait for such a time e.g. 8.28am or 8.29am and then once this is ok, open the door.... If you are moving in the afternoon, avoid moving in after 3.00pm. As this is considered closer to `Yin' timing. For moving in it is preferred to perform the `ritual' early. You do not need to perform the ritual on the same day. You can also do it a few days earlier. For the Chinese, they avoid moving in during the 7th month. The 7th month is between 9 August 2002 to 5 September 2002. You will be moving in earlier than this date, so, there is no problem. Good luck on your move. For those who want to find out more about this `ritual', I have attached either a .txt format and a MSword document relating to the common ritual for house moving. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Peck Wun, If the figurine looks ambigious, it is best to cover it first, especially if it is an old furniture. Overall, if the figurine is not facing directly towards the bed but facing outwards, there is, in my opinion, not a real concern. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carlos, Please see below:- Actually, this is known as the "Sigil of Saturn". Attached please find graphic illustrations extracted from Geomancy.net's Flying Star course on the "Sigil of Saturn". In the bazhi Her unfavourable colours are: Fire (red, purple, pink) and Water (blue, black, grey). Her Wealth element is suppose to be Wood element. However, Wealth element is auspicious only if she is a STRONG Metal person. Otherwise, it will bring you lots of problems. The next thing you should do is to check your own element. For example, if you are also a Weak Metal person, then your favourable elements are similar or identical to your wife. This includes the unfavourable and wealth element. Next thing you can do is to use the Comparison of Element Chart to find out both your binding elements i.e. Weak metal vs Weak metal. In the above example, the binding element for both of you is `Earth' element. In Ba Zhi Feng Shui, this is considered the harmonious colour to help `bind' both of you in a marriage. For example, (other than other Feng Shui principles e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui) the bedroom can have say, cream/yellow colour and the living room can have such colours. The `trick' in applying colours or elements e.g. shapes (round = metal) etc... In personal dressing, one can say, use more white (metal element) and occassionally yellow element. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. The first file is an animated GIF, and it is best that you open the file with your internet browser i.e. IE5. Instead of a paint program.

Location: Siglap Road (Marine Parade) Developer: Mandarin Gardens Pte Ltd (Overseas Union Bank financed) Tenure: 99 years TOP was 16 years ago in 1986 Total units: 1,000 apartments. Comprising of Studio, 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms and Penthouse. When it was launched in 1986, many of the units are sold at a premium. Most probably because of the district 15 location. Even during that time, many of the units were vacant. And by coincidence, a video system at the guardroom to each unit - failed. Installed by Chubb, this system gave problems and did not work. In my opinion, there are many unsold units at this condo. Basically, in order to save space, the major blocks are connected in e.g. an `S' shape. It is preferred that each blocks or tower be separated. But, the two main tower blocks are interconnected without allow air flow to properly circulate. Since this is a 99 year site, and there are always new and cheaper condos around, one will be hard pressed to move in unless one wants one's child to go into schools like Toa Nan Primary. But even so, may not qualify. Go for something else, better if you can. PS. PLEASE READ A FORUM MESSAGE IN THIS SAME CONFERENCE. THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE IS: "IMPORTANT NOTICE ON EACH REVIEWS"

Location: Jalan Mata Ayer & Sembawang Road Developer: Centrepoint Properties Pte Ltd (Northspring Development Pte Ltd) Temporary Occupation Permit: Immediate Occupation - TOP early this year (2002). Tenure: 99 years Total Number of Units: 304 apartments. Comprising: Studio, 2 bedrooms, 3 & 4 bedrooms. All apartments no more than 4 storey high. Observation: Not in-favour of blue roof for the entire condominium project. Especially those units at the 4th floor. In my opinion, if you can, skip this development for other better selections. The average selling price is approximately $567 per sq feet. Studio apartments are from 68 to 82 sq metre, other apartments range from 88 sq m to 140 sq m for 2 and 3 bedroom types. 4 bedroom types go for 136 to 229 sq metres. As at to date, there is a banner hanging outside this condo advertising unsold units. In my opinion, condominiums of 4 storey height are rare finds. And many of such 4 storey high condominiums are basically sold out even before they are fully constructed and TOP. To reach TOP status with quite a number unsold units suggests - either the price is too high or SOMETHING else. Therefore, I personally feel, in particular, the blue roof, skip this IF you can. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jacqueline, Usually, if you can obtain, a natural dried out bottle gourd i.e. brown in colour. Is it possible to obtain this type of bottle gourd. Try to find the above first before, using others such as jade or silver - if possible. Although, this two type can be used. Between this two (jade or silver) `metal' silver is preferred over jade. Warmest Regards, Cecil

This house is known as an entrapped house. It is currently vacant. You should be able to many views of this house from the various angles taken of it. It has very bad Feng Shui and in my opinion and very inauspicious site.

Dear Jasmine, In fact, there are other comments that I had not mentioned about space above a garage: 1. Let's take an example of a building on stilts or stilt type legs. Where the building is above the ground. Some FS practitioners say that an occasional bad spirit may pass trough the stilted legs of the building, they are said to attack the weakest parts of the building which are the corners of the support beams/legs. 2. Some feel that because there is emptyness below, the structure may not support the entire room upstairs. (This is absurd unless, there is severe structural problem or poor construction material used). 3. There are many of such stories relating to this. Some may argue that during an earthquake (if there should one occurring), such empty structures are the weakest links. However, if it is properly re-inforced with high quality steel support structures, there is no issue here. 4. In my opinion, so far, I have found from my experience, that a room above the garage is just like any other room. And I personally found no evidence to suggest that the hollow space, drains one's energy. Even if it is the bedroom or living room area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

1. Attached please find a sketch of a Qi enhancer incorporating the Five elements concept. In a 5 elements flow. 2. Often, a water feature is not so complex as shown in the illustration. But many water features that is suppose to be meant for Feng Shui may have the three ingredients of a three element flow e.g. Earth -> Metal -> Water Here, earth is represented by the actual items made of rock, limestone or marble. Metal element is represented by a round ball. Either with water flowing (to lubricate it) or flowing out of this round ball. Water element. This is real water flowing out of the pump in such a fountain. It is not too difficult to add the other two elements: Lights (Fire element) can be added. E.g. water proof lighting display. Plants can be added to the waterfall. Alternatively, if metal element is missing from the waterfall, some people add in real fish e.g. koi, carp or goldfish to represent metal element. Or add 6 coins into this fountain. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Wasis, 1. Earlier, we had seen how Wood threat can be neutralised. 1.1 It is similar in concept to all other elements. For example, if there is a Fire threat:- Two methods can be used: Do you want to neutralise the threat using the Productive or Destructive cycle approach? 1.2 Method 1: (Productive cycle method) ============= Fire can be neutralised (balanced) by introducing Earth and Metal. Where, fire (threat) is used to produce earth. Since there is abundance of earth, earth is used to produce metal. Thus, this is a three element flow. 1.3 Method 2: (Destructive cycle approach) ============= This is similar to your earlier worry that the second element introduced can help to increase the `threat'. But this is indeed a fallacy. This is similiar to the earlier concept of the Wood threat. Here, if Fire is the threat:- One can say that we can introduce Water to Fire. 2. Here, under the destructive cycle:- Water is used to destroy Fire. Once fire is weaken, a controlling or balancing element wood is introduced. 3. This is similar in concept to Metal is used to destroy Wood. Once wood is weakened, a balancing element water is introduced to create a productive flow. 4. Again, other elements also follow the above two examples. Either, the productive cycle or destructive cycle can be used to neutralise an element. 5. As mentioned earlier, you can check out the following:- 6. Water threat can be weaken by Earth. And metal is introduced to form a three cycle flow. 7. Similarly, Earth is weaken by Wood. And Fire element is introduced. 8. Under the above examples, the destructive cycle is first used. And a balancing element added to form a three cycle flow. 9. Alternatively, one can neutralise the threats using the productive cycle. By exausting the threat with a three cycle flow. For example:- 10. If the threat is Water. We can exhaust water with wood and fire. 11. If the threat is Earth, we can exhaust it with metal and water. Hope you find the above useful. The best balancing elements depends on whether one is using either the productive or destructive cycle to neutralise the threat. 12. It is crucial that we all understand properly the Five Elements concept. And if possible, take it to three or more elements flow. The common use of just one neutralsing element can be `myopic' and does not fully utilise the Five Elements to one's advantage. Warmest Regards, Cecil
-
Dear Wasis, 1. The Five Elements Concept is all about balance. This is where many of us do not take advantage of it properly. 2. Cannot be blamed as many of us can only understand two combinations or two elements. 3. For example, in this case where there is a wood threat i.e. a lamp post. (Because, it is tall and thin is represented as a wood element). 4. Under the destructive cycle of Five Elements concept, yes, it is true that Metal (fishes) is used to destroy Wood threat. 5. Once this is done, wood remains weak. To ACHIEVE A BALANCE, a third element is used here (under the productive cycle):- where METAL -> WATER -> WOOD forms a combination flow in the productive cycle. 6. Do take note that once metal destroys wood, it is weaken. And a three cycle flow, helps to best balance this flow. 7. Secondly, water is often used because it is considered as a Ming Tang or bright Hall effect. Alternatively, wood element threat can be neutralised with fire and earth element. Perhaps, you can ponder over these statements and hopefully see the light:- Element with best balances Fire with Earth and Metal or Fire with Wood and Water Metal with Water and Wood or Metal with Earth and Fire Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Jacuqeline, In my opinion, perhaps, the breakdown of electrical appliances may be a coincidence. Especially if it is a rented place and is not most of the items are not new. Perhaps, it is best to monitor the situation, first. Since you are new to Feng Shui, do try to read up more - especially on the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil
